Re: CryptoHopper Trading Bot
by

tl;dr:  It's very good.  Free the first month.  Newbies to advanced traders can use it.

I'm using this bot and so far really liking it.  Its got a pretty easy and intuitive interface and set up- there's a couple of areas  that I find confusing- there's configs on top of configs and some trump others- and I still don't get the Max open pos. Max %...from the config set up:  (value, which is a percentage of the 'max open positions' field - for example 100 positions and 4% here will give 4 open positions/buy orders maximum, 50 and 10% will give 5, 60 and 20% will give 12 - for each unique coin.)  Anyone?

But, that aside it's a pretty simple set up, with a lot of room for tweaking settings  -or- if you prefer more of a hands off approach you can set it to only act on signals which you can subscribe to for free or in a paid subscription from various providors ($5-$7 generally).  I had the Haas bot for a while but I could barely get that one going and found the set up difficult and used it for about 1 out of my 3 months licensed with no results to speak of- this is not to disparage their bot- I just didn't get how to use it.  This one falls more in line with my style- I'm not a programmer and I'm a middle of the road day trader.   This bot gives me an easy intuitive interface to have as much input into the operation as I want but can run pretty well without me having to set it up for every nuance.

I'm using paid  signals from cryptognome (just started the paid subscription), bcs they've been pretty good in the free trial. There are 2-3 others that I like and may add as well.  I'm trying to run the bot hands off for a week or so to see how it does and will report back as that progresses. You get a free month trial on the basic bot then you can pay $20/mth basic, $49/mth mid, $99/mth for their master kangaroo- the main difference as you jump up levels is in the number of coin you can have in your active trading pool- basic is fewer coin, longer between trades, fewer open positions, mid gives you more of everything, master has arbitrage as an option and all coins active for signals.
They have a decent tiered pricing system with customization avail as well-  I like their approach in letting people try it out- a month is very generous-and I get a kind of old school crypto vibe from them in the way they're putting this out there, word of mouth mostly, inclusive pricing, contributes to the community- very open- if ya know what I mean.   I have no problem sharing the word on projects like this and will be updating as I go.

Anyone have a good trigger set up for catching pumps and breakouts?

Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I hope for the OP sake it is just trolling and not a real situation.  Mining profits suck, there's no two ways about it.  Whattomine sucks.  If you use them you'll just be chasing your tail.  Estimates can and do vary wildly when you have mining pools self reporting inflated numbers, constantly changing difficulty, coin prices swinging wildly etc.
As soon as a coin profitability moves up swarms of miners move their hash to it and difficulty adjusts up and you're back to crap profits.

If you really bought those cards sell them now and get out before nvidia releases  the next gen and the market floods with 1070s.  If you want to mine go camp at Best Buy and get a next gen card the minute they come out and maybe enjoy 3 months nice profit. Or be in the first to maybe third shipment from Antminer when they release whatever giant Asiic coin sucking machine next.

I've recently started mining fiat.  It's POW, but unlike crypto I have to show up at a place where I have a "job" and actually DO things.  I suggested masternodes but they're pretty hung up on the "work" part...oh well

After reading the whitepaper I get a sense of team and a  coin on a mission (tearing up that roadmap guys!) to make a community backed project of high standards in the field of cryptographic currencies.  If I am getting it the main jist of it right It's a decentralized currency with rewards being split by those  who secure the network by working their computers to verify blocks and hash them to the previously (consensus) verified blocks forming a chain of transactional history  AND those who verify the integrity of this chain of blocks  by acting as a bonded validator network.  Roadmap shows 70% completion rate with only "codebase updates" left to move along and develop this puppy until full anonymity (AKA Zero Protocol).  Very exciting, cutting edge stuff.  Cheers and keep up the good work!  Soon enough us early investors will buying Lamborghinis with profits on a trajectory to the moon!

Are you kidding... mission for what?
The dev is as abundant as he can be, released an increase in collateral in very short notice (after over a month with no real github work) and have then been silent since. (He is not dead since his bitcointalk account is active)
The exloperer has been stuck several times since the change and are stuck now. Atleast a few words to the investors that the matters are being looked into are in place.

The roadmap are the same as every other masternode coins, nothing new and cutting edge stuff here. Stop shilling and lead the newbies into a trap.

The ROI is good at the moment, but that is the only selling point. There is mined approximately 85000 coins each day.
To keep todays price there need to come 0,25Btc fresh money into to keep it at todays price if everybody sells. There is no sell walls at all, and they will soon be gone when those that have fomo in sees that.
It will not maintain the value for long, but I hope for the investors that I am wrong.

The only positive I have to add is CXP that do as good as he can for the community, but unfortunately I don't think that is enough without a dev with interest in the coin.

Yes.  I was exactly kidding.  Sarcasm/parody start to last.  If you read it again you'll notice that I basically said they have launched an underdeveloped crypto currency that's POW/POS...
goin to the Moon in my rocket Lambo bizznotches....

For me it served as a rally cry and reminder not to let market volatility and price action  pressure me into selling at a loss.  If you buy at $8000 and tomorrow BTC drops to $6000..,you still have not lost anything, if you HODL and let the value come back.

You've got a good coin here.  Reasonable premine, instituting self governance, targeted market.  I'm stoked and I bought in and I think my coins were the last two transactions before the explorer shut down, with a third tx that had my last 600 for my masternode getting hung up.., it's all good now but you can imagine it was distressing.

I still have my coin and plan on having my masternode up today.  I want my friends to buy these- I think its a great potential investment.  I would like to see this project thrive and its got a great chance.

I get the impression you've got tech on course (im not a programmer so I could be dead wrong) but assuming that's the case, now is the time to get your community onboard and rolling.  You need another one or two community liasons that you  communicate with 2-3x/week and let them get your message disseminated, or if no message a reassurance to the community there is a line of communication and someone who has a general idea of when you're away and when you're expected back.

There needs to be someone available to help with wallet issues/masternode set ups etc in the discord active 3-4x/day--it does not have to be a dev- delegate it to a community member.  Here's imo what you need to do as a dev for this project to be a romping success(*list revised):

1.work the roadmap as you've laid out
2. communicate
3. communicate
4. communicate

I'll volunteer to help in any way I can.  I'm sure plenty of others are happy to give their time.  An empty discord is a big red flag to most.  People will start buying this coin up if they know they have the community and tech support.  Its an easy fix.  Dash didn't sell bcs  ppl understood and trusted the tech.  They had Amanda.
cheers

Yes it can be profitable.  Its not a competition between CPU/GPU/Asic.  At this point some coin is developed to be mineable  only by CPU and not GPU, so despite the power diffreence you just don't have the option.  Look for yescrypt algo coin and m7m (magi) coin for good background mining, it add up.

Oh my god look at that coin mooning, I gotta buy it, I'm missing out on a golden oppurtunity...
$$$$BUY$$$$

Oh my....where did all the buyers go?  Is the price dropping? Why is no one buying...Im losing all this money..how is it lower still?  Omg I gotta just get out before I lose everything...
$$$SELL$$$)

Omg of course its turning back up the very second i hit sell.....

Greed and fear are what made you decide because you didn't have a planned entry and exit targeted at a reasonable profit point, in an appropriate time frame, with stops set to mitigate risk.

I am trying to download the updated wallet on my windows 10 device but it keeps popping up as a virus.. has anyone seen this? how can i fix it.. I am being forced to download the 1.1.0.0 release because the 1.1.0.1 comes up in windows 10 as a virus HELP!!!

Thanks

Yes- it's very common with wallet and mining software downloads.  Turning off security will allow you to download the file but won't stop windows from recognizing it as a threat at some future point- in order to do that you will need to set up an exclusion for the file.
You can set up an exclusion for just the one wallet, or you can make a general wallet folder with an exclusion and use it to store all your wallets.

Create a folder for wallet downloads.  Create a subfolder called cropcoin1
  • Open Windows Defender Security Center, and then select Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings > Add or remove exclusions.
  • Under Add an exclusion, select the wallet folder. The exclusion will apply to subfolders within a folder as well.

Turn off security protection to download wallet.

  • Open Windows Defender Security Center, and then select Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings >Real-time protection (switch off)>Cloud -delivered protection (off)
  • Download the wallet and save it in your cropcoin1 folder

    Turn security back on

Any new wallet downloads in the future that you trust and want security to leave alone just create new folder and place it in wallet folder and security will ignore.

We would need a net influx of new crypto enthusiasts (or at least buyers users).  The whales pushed when we were sagging around 12K but the market just isnt there right now.  IMO it doesn't help us long term if we hit high numbers on a bubble like that again until we start having more bridges to normal/everyday uses for the  avg user.  Ive been in crypto over a year now and the other day I got hung up when I couldn't get BTC out of my electrum wallet for some reason.  It was frustrating as hell, there's no direct help for it, and Im an experienced user.   Like John Oliver said about Bitcoin-  it's “everything you don't understand about money combined with everything you don't understand about computers,”
We're still way out ahead of the average users level of comfort imo

Sorry to be such a noob, I'm just starting to mine digibyte and was wondering what is the best pool to choose:

DigiByte [groestl]
DigiByte [skein]
DigiByte [qubit]
DigiByte [sha256d]
DigiByte [scrypt]

I'm planning to use Nvidea 1070i, I assume gorestl will give me the best hashrates?

Thank you

Try skein DGB with the Alexis_78 ccminer
The 1080ti gets 830MH  using skein on the Alexis_78
(its also strong on NIST5)

get a ccminer KLAUS-T 8.13 for neoscrypt and whatever the latest version of the ccminer is currently going and you'll be well positioned to try stuff out

Re: Royal Empire Coin [REC] - Looking For Mining Pools and Miners
by

on 13/09/2017, 00:25:08 UTC
My post was deleted for straying off topic so I'll  try and make my response to an earlier question more succinct and topic relevant.  When mining REC coin with the 1080ti, I was getting 785 Mh/s but tried the Alexis miner and the alexis_78 thanks to a suggestion earlier in the thread.
My rates for REC coin with the suggested miner alexis jumped up to 934 MH/s on sopool and when using the 78 version my rate was roughly 940Mh/s when mining REC.

I have not tried a full 24 hours yet but I will let you know what I get in REC if I do-
I see the coin is passed the voting stage on Nova- any idea when it goes live?
