Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's decision on forking
by

Tho I don't want to die not knowing who the creator(s) of bitcoin is. Sad maybe it's goingto be one of those situations where the last person of the team or if it's the lone person, reveals who the creator is at their deathbed...

Until this time Satoshi Nakamoti is unknown and nobody knows his Identity. I think even the core dev doesnt know about Satoshi nakamoto's Identity. I dont know why he wants to keep his privacy even he knows he was the one behind bitcoin.

Because when you come with this idea in mind, it's basically an idea against governments, banks, authorities and the existing financial system. A war on paper money. And because he is anonymous, nobody can do anything against him because Satoshi Nakamoto might not even be his real name. However, I do have a slight belief that Bitcoin has been created by the NSA because they spoke about cryptocurrencies in late '90s. Creating this kind of decentralized currency (which unfortunately for Bitcoin, becomes more and more centralized) can always be a weapon that could be used against you at some point. This is a safety measure he might have taken. If it is the NSA that created it, they used the "anonymous creator" thing to make people believe it is a great innovation, a good investment opportunity etc.

Re: How to win free Bitcoins in a short time ???
by

Hello to you.
What are the best sites to win free Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes of time ??
I already know https://freebitco.in/ but to win Satoshi, you have to wait every hour (1 hour) of time. It is too long.
Are there other serious sites that give Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes ??

Thanks in advance for giving me these sites there.

If the time to redeem BTC is shorter, the payout is too. If they pay you 100 sats an hour, others will likely pay around a sixth of it every ten minutes. Faucets are also not a good way to earn BTC, it takes too long in my opinion.. best thing you can do is earn BTC by offering a service or working and getting paid with cryptocurrencies, or you can just take money you earn from your job and put it into Bitcoin. For me, faucets are a waste of time. Also stay away from offers that sound too good to be true. Don't be fooled.

Re: Bitcoin Cash: A fork is coming after all
by

This is bad news for me. Not only hard to understand (took me days of reading through articles and pages to do so), but also a bad future for Bitcoin. Why split it? This is so wrong from many perspectives, and will be bad especially for those who will be sending money to the address that another chain will not consider valid. Money will vanish, or "burn" and, in my opinion, they will split Bitcoin in 3. Three chains, three communities, tripled risk of losing your funds. This is VERY bad news for all of us and could also mean the quick death of Bitcoin caused mostly by panic. Although you had very slow confirmations, Bitcoin should have never been changed. These forks are a mistake in my opinion.. I expect a price under $1000 soon enough..

Re: How do I make sure to not lose $ value in BTC?
by

I think you can only do that by changing Bitcoin to USDT instantly and holding that. You can't do anything else otherwise, except also exchanging BTC to your currency. Bitcoin is experiencing a lot of volatility, which yes, it could mean you can spend 0.001 on a drink today and 0.005 tomorrow. I would exchange BTC into fiat, only as much as I need, instantly when I receive it and hold the rest in a 'freezed' wallet, for example a paper one.

Centralized cryptocurrencies will take Bitcoin over, sooner or later. Sad, but impossible to stop them. Just look at the first 200 coins and see that more than 50% of them are centralized. I predict Bitcoin falling to 2nd place on the Market later this year or during the spring or summer of 2018.. and then people will take money out of it. We'll see what SegWit will bring us. If Bitcoin falls, prepare for a historic move: BTC going down to the 2nd place.. I am not sure if ETH will be the coin to replace it, but I'm more than sure that some coin will..

Re: THE BEST BITCOIN WALLET
by

on 25/07/2017, 09:26:09 UTC
I can not understand that why are you not preferring blockchain because I am using blockchain since 2014 and never faced even a single issue so far. However, I would recommend using web wallet only for the regular transactions and not for the long term storage. I think a securely generated paper wallet is better than hardware wallet in terms of cost, ease of use and security.
I quite agreed with you on block chain as my most preferred wallet I have been introduced to different types of wallet but I felt secured using block chain, I like all the security features deployed by block chain to prevent hacking of the wallets and I am pleased with their mode of transactions.

Blockchain is not a good place to store your Bitcoins on. If the website or server ever goes down, your funds are GONE. You don't even have access to your own private keys.. which is wrong. Best thing you can do is use a hardware wallet or the BTC Core wallet. Never use websites.. we know how much money has been lost from them.

Some blockchain explorers also have a "Rich List" that will sort the list with the top holding addresses....some will provide stats according to address weights....Look at the stats in the blockchain explorer of the particular currency you're interested in comparing....There can also be several different explorers for the same currency that display alternate information....Just check out the different block explorers....you might be surprised at what you'll find!

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Here's the link you just talked about. I have seen these rich lists and they're amazing.. These guys are either huge players (billionaire investors) or people who bought BTC under $1 and are now living off it. Top 1 player has a third of a billion.. However, I don't think anybody knows who these guys are. Wondering how they manage their funds..

Haha! I wish I had BTC when it was $0.001 and held it until today. Do you even imagine how high the price went so far?! It's incredible and unimaginable. Bitcoin is a REAL store of value, not paper money. Most big cryptocurrencies are real store of values unless they do not respect the Cryptocurrencies principal rules. Anonymity is a big thing here and should never be taken away from us.

VERY active coin devs and a coin that is being talked about by CNBC, Clif High and other big players. I see this coin as a refuge for those who want to secure their Bitcoin funds. Cheap coin with A LOT of potential. If you would join their Telegram, you'd see how big (I heard it's the biggest crypto group) the group is and they haven't stopped developing this coin no matter what. The price hasn't changed much until this spring and now the results of the team's work are starting to be finally seen. I see this coin over $1, or say $0.5, until next year. Prepare for August!

Depends if you need more anonymity than Bitcoin can offer. I use paper wallets for every transaction which makes mine harder to be tracked. Remember that you can see if an address is owned by a wallet and if you have a thousand addresses in one wallet, you can still be found out to be owning them. (Talking about Blockchain.info, for instance)

Re: Why Most ICO's are SCAM ?
by
VeneVici
on 25/07/2017, 07:42:02 UTC
Most ICOs I have seen are sold at a higher price than the coins or tokens will be sold for. How will you know you won't be scammed afterall? They want to take your money. Why? For development? Most big and real coins did not need to do a pre-sale to be able to develop and work for the coin. There are over 810 currencies at the moment, I think this thing has to stop... The creation of cryptocurrencies. Too many aren't good, because the community will be splitting up in too many coins.. but we cannot do anything to stop them. Scams are all around us and this should be an eye opener for all of us.

Re: IT is WAR. Split again. BTC will crash

At the moment it's only a bet nobody can predict without luck. It could go in many possible ways, the only thing that provokes fear in ym mind is the chaos that will most likely happen when Bitcoin will be suspended from Coinbase, Poloniex and other huge websites that are trading it. I think most volatility will be seen during these first days of August because over 50% of the users will stop using Bitcoin while just a few will still spend it. Nobody knows what will happen, to be honest... You gotta be lucky to accurately predict it.

I have heard about bitcoin from my friend that it is a website from where we get a digital value known as cryptocurrency for that we have to write down from our view about the topic given

Bitcoin isn't a website.. He probably told you about Bitcointalk, the website we're on right now. Bitcoin is a currency, this is a forum. BIG difference between them. You should learn more about Bitcoin and not be here just for earning money for something you don't even know about Cheesy

Re: Daily use of bitcoin?
by

In today's situation many people do not know about using bitcoin. We buy things from small shops and platforms the shop keeper does not know about bitcoin. Therefore it is very difficult to use bitcoin in our daily use. But the day will come, every one use bitcoin for buying and selling.

I think that can be solved by asking the shopkeeper if Bitcoin is accepted, and if he asks what Bitcoin is then explain it. That takes a lot of time but can have results over time. The more people there'll be asking for Bitcoin, the more people will accept it as a payment and use it.

I hope gambling is for short term earning they won't provide any returns with your investment, even it won't have praise increase like bitcoin. Gambling is just a game you will make money when your guessing is correct other wise you will loose. No returns and No Guarantee.

It is not even qualified as way to earn even in short term. Nothing is certain in the outcome of gambling, therefore, it cannot be considered as way to earn a sure and steady income. Some gamblers still believe that gambling is like that, and that they are going to make money out of betting, and so they make it a daily habit and career to gamble each day, but in the end, they got nothing.  Smiley
I agree with you. The more your gamble, you will realize how gambling is not the same as other types of making money. It is obvious that we always lose and it will be very hard for us to obtain money or Bitcoin from the casino. Many gamblers have tried their luck bu the result still remains zero. Just look around you, there are thousands of gambling addictors and most of them can not know how to escape from gambling

Making money in any way has an obvious risk, whether it's bigger or smaller but here it's all about luck.. you got a 50% chance of losing your money, so you should ALWAYS think before rolling the bet: are you ready for the loss? Do you want to risk it? Is it worth it, or you can go for less money?

Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started?
by

I was happy to get even a cent in BTC when I heard about it. What made even that thing impressive for me was the skyrocketing price we saw in 2013, and I thought it won't stop there so I thought that maybe that one cent will turn into dozens of bucks one day. It was a nice experience, even if I don't really have much of that money I earned back them anymore. Cheesy

Re: do you use analysis when play gambling?
by
VeneVici
on 06/02/2017, 04:01:08 UTC
analyze? I think it is not possible in gambling because gambling can not be guessed. even if it's true? I think just sebuat luck. except in sports gambling may be analyzed
You can have some analysis and data if you are gambling in sports and when it comes to dice you can have a pretty good idea what the next roll would be if you are playing for a long time and if you are really lucky you might even win a lot of money.

In dice you can know what the next roll will be....? I highly doubt it. There are a thousand combinations, I really do not think you can actually know what number will roll next. I have been playing for over three years now and I never had this ability yet.. there is nothing you can analyze except your stats .. it's only about luck.

Re: People's Bank of China hammer the Bitcoin
by
VeneVici
on 08/01/2017, 12:36:49 UTC
It was obvious that there will be a correction of BTC price. Every crypto currency goes through this route. If price goes up according to prediction or not, price declines after sharp rise. It is quite normal in case of any crypto and BTC is nothing but a crypto. Sometimes it is plain gambling. I do not know other causes. May be the OP is fully aware of the news. I still do not think it is a good time to buy BTC

Look at the Chinese Yen's charts, and compare it to Bitcoin. The Yen rose up so Bitcoin's price had to go in a freefall. It's been just a bubble, like 2013. The good thing is that the price will now probably remain at a stable 700-1000$ price for the next few quarters: Q1, Q2 and Q3. I think the big bubble will come up in the following winter, so Q4 2017. I'm looking at the news and events very carefully, and things aren't looking good in the future months.

Re: Starbucks accepting bitcoin
by

on 07/01/2017, 20:14:57 UTC
Man, I hate Starbucks. Macons control it. I wouldn't spend my precious Bitcoins in some shitty Starbucks coffee. I don't even know how can anyone consider that filthy water coffee. Starbucks drink is everything but coffee, and even so it is a terribly awfull drink

It's just like Coke: even if it's unhealthy, the brand convinces you to try it out. But we have to put away the taste and everything else: because Starbucks is VERY popular worldwide, accepting Bitcoin as a payment method would be a pretty important step for us. I'd like to buy food and drinks anonymously, with a few taps only. If you won't spend your money on Starbucks you'll spend it on something else one day and you'll regret it maybe even more. What matters is the advertisement Starbucks would make. If there will be ads placed around mentioning that "Bitcoin is accepted here", more people will come from around the world. We need a bigger community.

Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?
by
VeneVici
on 07/01/2017, 20:08:30 UTC
I am still very bullish on bitcoin despite recently crash. Bitcoin is in long term upward trend and the percentage of people using bitcoin is still very small. It will increase over time with more adoptions. The price will go up in 2017.

Nothing's going to rise forever.. and every bubble will have to burst one day. With more people coming to Bitcoin it'll be harder to obtain one: if we'd have 21.000.000 people interested in Bitcoin, it means each of them can have 1BTC if we split the limit of BTC to each person equally. Now imagine having a hundred million people. The price would be driven to the sky.. I think it has a big chance to go up no matter what happens (except if a lot of people lose their interest in it!).
