I’m sure by now you should be aware of the malware that is targeting crypto wallets. Don’t underestimate the risk this malware can put your crypto apps in. So here are few tips to help avoid it.

1.You should avoid clicking on random links come across or downloading attachments from unknown or unexpected sources; it might be on your social media account or through emails.

2.You should install and update the antivirus you have on your PC.

3.You should turn off unnecessary remote access and also use a firewall to block fake connections.

4.Always check for emails that gives a sense of urgency to take a quick action.

5.Check if there isn’t an unsual activity in your PC.

6.Also remember to scan for malware regularly on your computer

7.Use strong passwords and passkeys. Also apply 2 factor authentication.

8.Use a different device for your financial operations if possible.

So, these are some few tips that i think can help you avoid malware attack. Stay SAFU!

You’ve said it all but in addition, If you’re new to crypto currency or bitcoin wallet, there’s what we call hardware wallet, it’s considered safe which lowers the possibility of viruses or hackers gaining unauthorized access. Even if it’s connected to a malware infected computer, your keys are remained safe and secure inside a hardware wallet.
Put 2-factor authentication code it’s very essential in crypto wallet. It makes it more difficult for hackers to access your wallet even with your password. Do not use free Wi-Fi connection to open your crypto wallet.

Re: Beware of Telegram Username Scam
by

You may recently get offer by a anonymous account with a telegram premium offering you to buy your username like this.

https://talkimg.com/images/2025/03/11/0IGQI.jpeg

They will offer you a hefty amount of TON for your username which may youre not even expecting. They always offer you 100-1000TON. Once I got 1000 TON offered.
https://talkimg.com/images/2025/03/11/0IPAz.jpeg

Let me tell you their tactics, even though you maybe aware enough it's scam but how they will approch to you at a certain point you may start believing in certain points. They won't ask you any fund starting , even they will negotiate with you like a real buyer. He even tell you to list it if you know how to buy sell username in fragment.

They will ask you ton wallet address which you used on Fragment. After you list it on Fragments they will tell you that I just bid/offered you please accept it. Actualy bidding works like this, if you opened your username for bidding anyone can bid it for their acceptable price.

 https://talkimg.com/images/2025/03/11/0IMfd.jpeg

Can you tell if this one is fake ss or fake offered he showed you? Basically they give you the link what you wants from Fragment. But wait dont jump over and fall for it. In Telegram you can sent any text and bind that text with a link, that's what they do . They send a fake link text which didn't even exist but in that text they created their phishing website link which is a copy of Fragment. It's exactly copy of fragments you can't tell it if you're not aware of the Site URL.
.
That's not it, which even more amazed me even I believed it for a second  Grin . I blocked that contact cause I know it's a scam. What that scammer did next was un expected .

https://talkimg.com/images/2025/03/11/0Im85.jpeg

After blocked , a new message appeared on my telegram from Auction Alert it's same like if Telegram send you any official text . It had me fooled for a second . If I confirm the offer it's redirect me to my wallet. But what I know for sure is theres nothing goes for easy money. So I tripple checked and found that it's a fake account. I even helped a lot of people those who are even willing to pay them a little amount of fees.

So please be aware of these scams. Just remember in this world there's nothing like free money or easy money.

And lastly If you're getting these type of Texts a lot, what you can do then?

Just list your Username on Fragment, then scammer will less appear on your wall. I've listed my username after that I don't get any offers like that anyomre.

From look of things, the internet in general is full of scammers. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be mindful and sensitive on the internet. A lot of people have been scammed lately, through this means all in the name of quick money. Thanks for taking your time, to put these out here steps by steps so people will be wise and know when they want to be scammed. Let’s be observant to fake profiles.

Welcome to the forum mate. You should explain what you wanted to learn or should I say something specific then someone will give you a link to the thread like what is given here. Let's say you wanted to learn more about bitcoin wallet then for example I have given you a link about non-custodial wallet which is you will be the one who has full control of it compared to custodial wallet which you don't have the full control (having the seed phrase) and also about open source type of wallet and closed source type of wallet.

I have already gotten some links regarding bitcoin and forum basic. I’m still taking my time to go through them all. Thanks for your concern. I don’t have any ideas of the bitcoin wallets you listed above. I’m open to learning new things. Am going to check out the link you sent to read more about it and improve my knowledge about bitcoin wallets and every other thing about the forum. Thanks
