Summary:
One-click miner is in alpha phase, electrum-vert wallet is nearly done, new wallet UI for the electrum-vert is being worked on, website is being re-designed and updated, and soon work will begin on a optimized AMD miner for vertcoin.
How about Lightning network? you guys tweeted the first lightning transaction on the main network. So when is that gonna be implemented? sorry for that many questions.

Do not add segwit yet! VTC doesn't need it and in case segwit fails in other coins VTC will fly for not having it. Implement it here once the blocks are full, not before that. Segwit only makes the attack vectors bigger. If you trade in security you should get something in return, right? With segwit you trade in security and get nothing in return because VTC blocks aren't full.

CSV, BIP34, BIP65, BIP66 are locked in. Everyone needs to update to the current wallet to avoid losing coins. Version 4 blocks will be orphaned on the new wallet now .
Does that mean Vrn... address is going to start having all his blocks orphaned in a day or so?
If it's kept in a old wallet no, but if it's moved to an exchange ( they all have updated as far as we know) then yes .
I mean if he is solo mining blocks with an older client, the network won't accept his blocks and his coinbase rewards will be orphaned?

One solominer that is mining with 24% of all the hashrate on VTC, but is not able to update?
it has been 3 weeks already, its just not possible that he has been mining all the time and hasn't even checked the forums/reddit/twitter.

Manipulation to the max, only way to activate Segwit is to either get help from other big miners, or the dude needs to update which seems not very likely to happen which is sad.

76.5% now, it's going down very fast. Its not looking too good. Maybe it wont activate this period

It is said that vertcoin will be implementing Segregated Witness, and this is the main reason why we get pumped in nowadays. You know people like SegWit, but Chinese miners don't like, therefore people have to wait for bitcoin SG, we need to implement it first and get more attentions.
Well the devs are doing a great job, and our job is to hype the shit out of it when it is released.As long as people, exchanges, pools and that stuff update to the latest wallet ,vert should be golden.

So now to get things straight, wallet is working but the devs are testing because its still in beta.And yes pools/exchanges and that stuff need to update to the newest wallet first before its gonna be activated. So please be patient the devs are doing their best releasing it asap.
