Verus ID and NFT Marketplace
Buy and sell VerusIDs on-chain, advertising your offer directly to the owner of an ID or NFT, or posting the sale of your NFT on the worldwide blockchain for all the world to see. Execute transactions in a completely decentralized way. Pay or offer to pay from a transparent or zero-knowledge private address, still auditable by you. Accept payment to either as well, and best of all, execute your transactions directly, peer-to-peer without any intermediary necessary. Don’t worry the on-chain model still makes room for owners to select and share proceeds with value added agents, marketing organizations, or other participants in a new economy of provable digital ownership. It’s the next step in the evolution of VerusID, the most powerful self-sovereign identity and secure funds storage model in the digital world.
Verus Vault
With Verus Vault you can now protect funds on a VerusID, even from theft of a private key! If you lock your VerusID with Vault you cannot spend funds from that identity at all until it is again unlocked. While locked, you can still stake those same funds on the Verus network and earn by doing so. Of course, you can also still receive funds.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT ENABLING REVOCATION, RECOVERY, AND ALL VERUS VAULT CAPABILITIES REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE ONE PRIMARY IDENTITY, AND AT LEAST ONE REVOCATION/RECOVERY ID CONFIGURED.
A locked VerusID can always be revoked and recovered by its revocation and recovery authority identities, which circumvents the lock. At the same time, anyone with only the primary keys, even a multisig of primary keys must first unlock, then wait for the predetermined unlock time before they can spend or access funds. This gives you, or maybe a company that specializes in watching the blockchain to whom you've assigned the revocation ID time to revoke and recover whenever an unauthorized unlock occurs. That means that like a bank, setting a 24 hour unlock delay on your locked IDs actually provides the first decentralized solution to the infamous 5 dollar wrench attack.
In addition to a new level of blockchain protection and decentralized funds recovery, Verus Vault provides the same security for your IDs and NFTs as well as time locks for other purposes, such as vesting schedules, trusts, and inheritance. With Verus Vault, you can now protect and recover your funds, preserving all your assets and generational blockchain wealth from common forms of crypto loss or theft, no bank required.
Testnet Reset
To reset your testnet make sure Verus is closed (and no testnet daemon running) and delete the following directories, then restart the testnet daemon (or relaunch Verus Desktop, deactivate verustest and re-add verustest native):

ANNOUNCING HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NON-MANDATORY, CRITICAL FOR NOTARIES AND POOLS, v0.7.4
IT’S TESTNET RESET TIME
!
Version v0.7.4 can improve a mainnet node’s synchronization and this version also upgrades and resets the Verus testnet, preparing it for the testnet launch of the Ethereum/Rinkeby bridge and bringing Verus PBaaS multi-chain, multi-currency, Verus Vault ID timelocking, Verus MEV-resistant DeFi, and the Ethereum bridge much closer to a mainnet ready state.
This release fixes all known functionality issues reported from the previous testnet including some related to currency and blockchain launches, as well as being incorrectly able to reduce the timelock period on a Verus Vault locked ID. It also includes the ability to export an ID from one chain to another, using the “exportid”:true parameter in sendcurrency, enabling cross-chain use of VerusIDs. With this release, we will be resetting the Verus testnet. To use the new testnet, you must make sure to delete the vrsctest and .verustest/pbaas or VerusTest\pbaas folders beforehand.
While the new testnet is fully prepared and ready to launch vETH as the Ethereum gateway, which will be directly connected to the Rinkeby testnet, there is still work on the Ethereum side to complete. We do not have an exact day that we expect to launch the gateway on the new testnet. We have confirmed the bridge connection and transaction transfers between VerusTest and Rinkeby, and we do not expect the bridge to be much longer until we can launch it on this testnet.
In addition to being prepared for the Ethereum bridge launch, this release adds some new testnet capabilities, including the ability to send to IDs cross chain and export IDs from chain to chain using the “exportid”:true parameter with sendcurrency. IDs only need to be exported once and can then be used and managed directly as a forked ID on the destination chain.
Thanks to all who have been using the testnet and reporting issues. Although the testing on this release took a bit longer than usual, we need to make sure that we release the best quality possible. I want to also thank the dedicated community members who participated in release testing, including the new people who joined this time around. As always, this is a community project with community contributors in everything from design to development to testing, website, marketing, and literally everything else. All of us who contribute are community members who mined, staked, bought, or earned coins from contribution like anyone else could. Consensus integrated DeFi liquidity pools and fractional currency baskets - Enables any ID owner to define Verus DeFi fractional basket currencies with one or more asset currencies backing the liquidity pool at a fractional percentage ranging from 5% to 100%.
Blockchain-based, crowdfunding currency launches with minimum participation or automatic refunds, including for dual launches (blockchain and bridge) - Enables you to set required minimum levels of worldwide participation in your preferred currencies on chain. Thanks to everyone across the community for all of your help, testing, and feedback to make this the most exciting release in the history of the Verus Project! Once VerusIDs activate on December 15th, Verus will earn its place in blockchain history as the first to deliver a truly decentralized, easy to use, revocable, recoverable multisig capable identity protocol.
The GUI version also include the Komodo network upgrade, which activates on the Komodo network on December 20th.

Thanks to everyone across the community for all of your help, testing, and feedback to make this the most exciting release in the history of the Verus Project! Once VerusIDs activate on December 15th, Verus will earn its place in blockchain history as the first to deliver a truly decentralized, easy to use, revocable, recoverable multisig capable identity protocol.
The GUI version also include the Komodo network upgrade, which activates on the Komodo network on December 20th.

New Verus Agama Wallet Upgrade - Mandatory for Komodo and KMD Ecosystem Coins
This upgrade is mandatory for non-Verus, Komodo ecosystem coins.
As announced by Komodo, the annual notary election fork is scheduled for July 15th, at Komodo block 1444000. This latest version of Agama has all of the changes needed for a smooth experience when it happens.
Along with new Komodo binaries, this version also includes numerous bug fixes and improvements:
-A warning is now shown if going to send KMD with a positive interest balance, and the user must either confirm they are willing to donate their interest rewards, or collect their interest before sending
-Issues with gracefully ending komodod are now resolved
-Private address creation is disabled for KMD
-Minor wording issues on PBaaS test screens are now fixed
-Electrum proxy servers now use https

Open Source FPGA for Verus 2.0 Preliminarily Qualifies for 100K $VRSC -- Pre-orders Now Open, and CPU Mining Survives!
February 14, 2019 (for immediate release) - The Verus Coin Foundation announces that Floofle Labs, working for FPGA mining card manufacturer, UKMiner, has achieved just over 1.5 times the price/performance available on the best tested CPU, an AMD Ryzen 5, 2600, with an FPGA for VerusHash 2.0. The first FPGA hardware for VerusHash 2.0, is available now for pre-order. The code will be released as open source and devices delivered without secret mining, qualifying Floofle Labs for the 100K $VRSC bounty offered by the Verus Coin Foundation. Final confirmation after delivery will be required, but Floofle Labs has made code available to the Foundation, and the Foundation expects to complete those formalities without issue.
With VerusHash 2.0 we worked to close the gap between FPGA performance and mass-market CPUs. Reprogrammable hardware mining is inevitable, but if we achieve more economic balance and support those with a fair, open approach to progress, FPGA mining can ultimately benefit decentralization, rather than centralize to a small group of secret miners. Rather than beating CPUs by 50x with the old algorithm, UKMiners V1 achieves 1.7x price/performance of CPUs, making FPGAs worth the investment, while leaving CPUs, and even GPUs, a place in the ecosystem, said Mike Toutonghi, Lead Developer for the Verus Project.
UKMiner V1s come as PCI-x compatible cards, and can be ordered for $399 on their website (https://ukminer.io/product/verus-fpga-ukminer-v1-batch-1/). UKMiner is an independent business and is not affiliated with the Verus Coin Foundation. UKMiner V1 will ship with the VerusHash 2.0 algorithm, but can also be reprogrammed with other algorithm bitstreams as available, such as Keccakc, ZP, 0x, Tribus, Nexus, etc. Check with UKMiner for algorithm availability. During a developer audit, a potential security issue was recently identified and fixed. Version 0.5.5 both fixes the security issue in question immediately, and also uses this as an opportunity to include some early PBaaS functionality that while not fully enabled, will allow us to test future PBaaS functionality on the main Verus chain in the near future. There is no activation date for these fixes. They are important and immediate. There has been no exploitation of this issue yet, and to our knowledge, details are not known outside of core developers. We recommend immediate upgrade of all Verus wallets.
