wish i could find a bc vendor who doesnt use cash deposit at bank of america! i dont have any where i live but do have other national banks (wells, pnc) but have been unable to find companies who use them. bitcopia uses wells but their website has been all over the place lately.

I imagine you have already found this (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_bitcoins) resource. ZIGGAP looks like they accept cash deposits for BTC at PNC and Camp BX for Wells Fargo. Hope this helps.

i have seen that site. ive been to ziggaps website and saw bank of america mentioned and chase (which theyre not offering at the moment.)neither are near me.  i also see wu as an option which i dont prefer. the campbx site says that the cash deposit option is only available for those accounts that are verified with them. in order to be verified they need a colored copy of your id and other security things that im not comfortable with.  so the search continues...

Yeah I don't blame you on the ID stuff. Good luck on the hunt.

But yeah, this is a hard question because there are a lot of variables that can be unique to the individual but here are some things to consider.

#1. How much does $149 or $649 mean to you?

#2. If you get it by June will the difficulty increase from all the other ASICs entering the pool dilute the investment?

#3. Will the value of Bitcoins go so high that it will even out the difficulty increase?

#4. Will you kick yourself in the ass for not at least attempting to purchase a cheap ASIC?

#5. How much is it worth to you to simply support something that is different and might make sense on a few different levels?

#6. Do you like watching numbers increment?

Lol...I put that last one on there because for some really silly reason I just like watching numbers/data go up and down. Even downloading files/games from the internet was pretty mezmorizing for me as a kid, but that was back in the day when 14.4 was fast.  Smiley

The delays might be due to them trying to figure out how to spend the millions that have already collected and or count the millions they have already collected. I wish I was involved in this BTC game earlier, who doesn't say that, but I may have tried to create my own damn ASIC. How can it seriously take this long. Dis eez boooshit.

Hi there!

Started today. I made my wallet and then I was looking for free bitcoins to pay a account on premiumize.me...
The only reliable way seems to mine in a pool.
I'm currently trying to mine with GuiMiner on slush's pool.
It's working fine and I get around 264Mhash/s, but I'm having some troubles to save my settings in GuiMiner and therefore created an account on this board.

What kind of issues are you having?

Gui Miner has had no problems saving my miner settings.

Hello BTC world. I like to mine and cannot wait for my BFL little single SC to arrive, that is assuming that is will actually arrive some day. Anyone have any general thoughts about the price of a coin going from about 20 USD to approx 40 USD?
