by

on 16/06/2021, 22:38:16 UTC
I have a 1 BTC Casascius coin and want some advice.

What would the the average price be for this coin in BTC?

Is it worth putting it into a crypto exchange and earn interest on that, or should I keep it closed?

It's important to take into account that you have the possibility to make money from events like this. You can sell the forked currency to increase your main balance or have both currencies.

After being in bitcoin for about 6 years or 7, all I can say is that whenever you give money, never expect to get it back.
It happened to all of us Sad

Buenas tardes chicos.

¡Atención!

Ha llegado a mis manos este comunicado: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-segwit2x/2017-November/000685.html

Lo he traducido de la mejor manera que he podido:

Quote

Mike Belshe, Wences Casares, Jihan Wu, Jeff Garzik, Peter Smith and Erik Voorhees

Try checking your posts, maybe you might have put an address in one of those posts.  You can use that to recover your account.

Read the meta sticky, it seems that's the only way you can recover your account. There are too many people for admins to check on your account alone.

What kind of coins are they? (Brass, silver, silver gilt) What denomination? Can you share pictures?

They will sell for at least a 20% premium over face value...could be higher for more rare mintages.

Keep in mind that now these coins have Bitcoin cash attached to them, which (today) totals $750 per 1 Bitcoin. You should be sure to include this BCC value into the face value over which you expect to receive for a sale.

I may be personally interest. But you can also post an auction in the Collectibles board, which is where most Casascius coin lovers hang out.

They are brass.

PANPeru Non-Profit Charity that accepts Bitcoin
by
Vicente

Hello  Shocked

Last month I have been helping PANPeru, an organization that helps the people and children in Pampas Grande, Huaraz, Peru.  Although the organization focuses on education and children, it also reaches out to their parents by teaching them many things, one of them being entrepreneurial skills.  The organization and some local ladies started a project where they weave clothing or accessories .  This comes along with motivational workshops that are done to improve their self esteem.  We also do medical campaigns since they are hours away from a medical center and there is no local transportation, and build buildings such as their first library.  The organization does many things to help these people, feel free to research as much as you can.

Feel free to visit the website, which happily accepts Bitcoin!  Grin

On behalf of the people who work at PANPeru and the locals of Pampas Grande, I would like to thank the generous donations of Phinnaeus Gage, Bitcoin100, and Chaang Noi (Goat)

It was an interesting experience to show everyone what Bitcoin is, it was even better after they experienced receiving Bitcoins which magically turned into real money to help them!  Cheesy

Once again, Visit PANPeru !  We accept Bitcoin Smiley  (And if you are interested we can even ship you clothes made by locals made of wool, baby alpaca, cotton, and even mixed materials! (Goat has some to show off!))

Donativo de Bitcoin100 a ONG en Peru
by
Vicente
on 21/09/2013, 22:48:56 UTC
Saludos,

Hello Rassah,
Regarding religion, (to put it in the simplest way possible) we are not imposing religion into people, but rather ideas that come from religion such as family values.  No priest is brought there and no religion conversion is done.  About other things that are done, the button "Blog" can be used to read some of the things that were done.  Not everything is in the site, but soon it will be.  If you have any concerns please post them in this thread.

There has been many like that over the 2 years I've been on Bitcoin.  All pay out in the beginning, but in the end they take everything.
I would avoid it.
