I got a refund from Paypal yesterday!!
I just emailed them explaining the situation and put in a load of screenshots from this thread, of some of their broken promises!

I might still have the email address of someone in the complaints department if any wants it to send a direct email??

On one end of the spectrum is Kooks, on the other extreme side is Bargraphics.

Let's try and meet in the middle, shall we?

My thoughts exactly!

I would be very interested to know if anyone has actually got a response to a support ticket at all in the last few weeks/months?

I used to get responses from them, untill they created this 'support ticket' nonsense!

I have asked a few important questions, not regarding refund and have not had a single reply to several attempts??!!

In a statement on its website, Bitcoin said it had given a presentation to the Bank of Thailand about how the currency works in a bid to operate in the country.

When did Bitcoin become sentient and able to give presentations to banks? And when did it get its own website?
I took that to mean the Bitcoin Foundation... just assuming, though.

I took it to mean that the journalist replaced 'Bitcoin Co. Ltd' with just 'Bitcoin', which could be quite misleading to the uninformed reader.

Yes, i took it to mean that too. But a misleading article nonetheless.

This clears it up a bit!

I was hoping to see pictures and specs of the DX Mini case by now?

Especially as all of my support tickets (3) regarding a refund for my case have gone unanswered. So presuming that I will not be getting a refund for said case, it would be nice to see what I will be getting?
Ya probably no refund without a lot of pressure....but, if your order is filled, it would be nice to have the case and all within. I didn't order a case as I was trying to make the most of my budget and put it all into boards for now. eventually I will order a case most likely. I assume the mini will look like the large only smaller....

Yeh, I had a tight budget to stick to and wanted to get as many boards as I could, but it just felt safer to order a 'plug and play' type device! I'm no Bitcoin noob, but maybe a bit of a computer tech novice and at the time of ordering I didn't want to get involved with the actual construction of the rig, whereas now I feel like I'm a lot more clued up and could handle such a task!!

Also, the shipping cost is crippling! $400 to the Uk, that's just not right!!?

Does anyone have any idea of the customs charges I may have to pay on it?

UK has already widely acepted Bitcoin what you talkin about?

Can you explain how it is widely accepted?

I am also interested in finding out news of any UK exchanges? Ive been following coindesk now since they first started up and theyr great for up to date news, but im still buying my bitcoins through 'local bitcoins' or 'bittylicious' which is not ideal?

Anyone else get them from anywhere better?

So much complaining about nothing....

Some of you guys must want Terrahash to whisper in your ear every night before you go to sleep that everything will be OK.

They've shown they are capable of producing this miner.

You've placed a pre-order for a product that should arrive 2 Weeks after Avalon Chips are delivered.

Sit back, buckle in, and enjoy the ride.

Hear hear.

I have a pre-order with Terrahash.. Hopefully the riskyness of it pays off! Smiley

It would be really interesting to know what percentage of users are from different countries. How many are from the UK etc?
What part of the world the majority of the users are from!

Hello,

I am from the UK and new to posting on the forum, but have been a member for a few months now, since the media were all over bitcoin in March.

I cant comment on mining too much, i built my first rig in April and have been mining Litecoins since then. As i saw that as a better way in, than trying to mine BTC.
However i have placed a pre-order with one of the ASIC miner companies, desperately hoping that they can deliver before September!

With regard to buying bitcoins i bought my first few from Localbitcoins and since then have managed to almost double my investment just by trading on the exchanges. Probably more by luck than judgement!!

There is a new place to buy bitcoins from in the UK called Bittylicious, i haven't used it yet though. But will do the next time i buy, as the rates appear to be better than Localbitcoins.

I would also recommend Coindesk, this is a UK based website for news and updates. They publish some very interesting articles and seem to be at the forefront of providing bitcoin news. I often find out good news and bad news on there before it gets published elsewhere!

I hope this is of some help, i am by no means an expert but have been soaking up every bit of information i can daily since March!
