VMM is a visual based application to make mining slightly easier for those less savvy in the setup of mining, however not limiting in regards to each mining applications options. There is also a real-time monitor for CoinMarketCap of which you can set Alerts in form of "on-screen" or email with plans on adding multiple direct exchanges in future.
You can monitor all data about current exchanges on coins from the Kraken Exchange, in real-time. You're able to select the data you wish to see, and set a lower and higher alert for every single one.
Mining with EWBF is exactly the same as it is without the application, however you will also have full statistics (again) in a compact area making it easier to read quickly. The latest version of EWBF comes packed in the download, however you can freely download it yourself and navigate to it's directory. There are 4 profiles by default, all of which are editable (ZEC/BTG).
The EWBF Miner by default does not show, however you are able to change an option for this.
There are plans on adding Claymore Miner for AMD cards, and i'll update this post when that time comes.
Top Up: Topping up is a flat-fee for using Visual Miner whilst mining. With 3 GTX 1060 6GB Cards I average at 990 Sol/s which is around 270 Shares per hour. The Dev fee worked out to be 0.00111%.
You can fully configure your Notifications for each type, and there are also a few notifications for basic operations / actions. If you want to disable Email-notification, simply remove your email address from the monitor tab.

Simple answer is yes. You do run the risk however of burning out the wires.

At first I started with the Simpler Miner. I believe that one is $2 per day, and once I realized that, well that's not very effective with the rig I'm currently running.
