Re: ABCC exchange with great contests

The ABCC exceeded my expectations, the exchange runs great and traded volume has gone through the roof. I am waiting for the opportunity to jump in for the mining, it will be open for all traders from 12th July so this is still good opportunity to enter and get some coins. The fee policy is also great for the traders, one of the best on the market I have seen.

This is really interesting concept, the exchange is online from April and seems to be working very well. It is very hard to follow all the offers and projects, so I am glad I found this forum here. I have been scouting for additional informations as well and found information available on Nasdaq, the Bitcoinist, bitfinance news and many more. The founder is Calvin Cheng - Ex singapore member of parliament and well known media magnate in Singapore with group of other investors so this is backed by real foundations and it is not an empty shell. As there is no similar competition, I expect it will attract lot of users and especially for the early adopters, this is great opportunity to get involved now.

Re: 0% house edge, rake and comission
by

Basically if a site has permantely zero house edge, I would steer clear. How are they making a profit?

It's acceptable for a site to have a promo where they have 0% house edge for a short while. However having it permantely it makes no sense.

Hence it might be a scam of some sort.

Theoretically, it is possible for a gambling site to profit from a 0% house edge gambling game. There are two reasons why, first is bet size limits and the house having more money than the player.

Imagine a situation, where a gambling does a martin gale system bets and the casino has a max bet of 1 BTC and lastly the gambler bets at 50% with 0.01BTC per bet. The scenario is that he cannot win against the house since there is still that chance that he will have a losing streak long enough to deplete his bankroll or reach the bet limit.

The gambler only needs to lose 8 times to reach the max. Even if you simulate this in a computer game with a lower starting bet or higher limits, it will result to a time that the gambler will have a long losing streak that would empty his bankroll.

The only problem is that the casino will not earn as much as the other casinos with house edge.
Yes, agree with this analysis. Even if the casino will not earn as much per player as casinos with house edge / rake, they will definitely attract more players - du to the fact their games will be viewed as fair play and there is no entry barrier with the rake/comission. It corresponds with their whitepaper where they expect to increase the token value with growing number of users. I expect, they will be able to raise quite substantial ammount during the ICO

Hey players,
I was looking for opportunity between casinos and found two crypto project which claim that have 0% fees on games, named zeroedge and edgeless. Do you have any experience with them? I asked in their telegram groups, how their concept works, they answered me that their concept is based on their own cryptocurrency, that will grow with number of players and also that not every game will be with 0% fees. I still don't know if it's enough, maybe blockchain will spare some money, on the other hand, they should have big reserve to be able to run. What do you think, will these project successful?

LOL, I do not believe in a project that says that owns a 0% edge house, that's the way they lure enthusiasts. and in the end they will only do a big scam, here I feel I have never seen the history of zeroedge and edgeless game slots, though I hope that this is true and the project is a success
Well, they do not plan only the zero edge/commission but to use the blockchain to change the way the industry operates - using smart contracts distributed over the blockchain to remove the house edge as the casinos cannot skew the smart contracts - this could attract lot of new users, also the zero edge would attract new players - also from the poorer countries so the token value growth as more users join would work with growing user base. If you look at the Bitcoin growth with growth of users, even if they grow slower would generate enough funds to run at zero edge.

0% edge can work as a model but not without the rakes and commissions,,, zero everything in your title is simply not possible as a business model, unless you strictly run poker competitions, and earn from advertising, sponsorship and fees (but nobody likes to pay fees, they do not mind commissions or rake though).

Also, as user above posts, if it is on-chain, you pay miner fees. If the tokens like Edgeless are cheap, players do not feel the pinch, but nobody likes to pay extra costs every hand they play.
After checking the whitepaper, I believe it has very good potential, their business model is based on the token value growth as they attract more users to the platform. I do mind paying the commissions or rake and also casinos can use house edge. With Zeroedge token all would be based on smart contracts so the casino owners cannot maniplate it. his project all would be based on smart contracts so the casino owners cannot maniplate it.

Bitcoin is still in its early development and implementation phase, it can be use for value transfer all over the world, independed on any government or institution. With the improvements on the way, I am sure we will get low cost and instant transactions with Bitcoin. It is here already for long time and it has proven its safety and ability to survive depite the attempts to derail it by governmnents, banks etc.

This is very good and interesting turnaround as Australian banks have been trying to ban bitcoin trade and they have been locking bank accounts. No matter how much the banksters try, they cannot stop the revolution.

Both are important coins. Bitcoin is coin that allows entry to the cryptocurrency world, Ethereum is main ICO platform. I believe both will play very important role, although Bitcoin would be the investment platform for institutional investors as well as for general public.

Re: Eight reasons why bitcoin lost more than half the value in just two months
by

One of the reasons would be also the network congestion in December. The first established crypto (not the ICOs or forks), that would solve the scalability issues and would have instant transactions would have major advantage - I hope lghting network is getting closer to final release, as this would make Bitcoin usable as currency again.

The selling is over and bitcoins demand will increase. This time ,it will over pass 30000$ by few months and it will prove to the world that it has come to stay despite the challenges and attack it has been receiving.

Unsure about $30,000 being possible within a few months but I sure as hell hope so.
For 30,000 I believe we would need lighting network release which would lead to greater adoption of Bitcoin as currency, I think this is possible well within this year.

So finally the FUD succeeded well played @bloomberg. Well, thanks to those who tried to spread awareness to as many as possible. Just found this article, good job guys.

Yes, banksters will not stop FUDding, this is 2 months old news, they just removed the date in effort to bring the market down.

I absolutely like LN, as of now only on testnet, although there is already first company using LN for accepting payments. It solves the issues we have with th crypto transactions - instant payments, very low fees, ease of use. Hopefully it would be soon deployed or at least I hope more companies woudl try to inplement it at least in beta version to show the benefits of LN to general public.

Re: Any byteball offers ?
by

on 19/01/2018, 19:54:09 UTC
Byteball has still good potential to grow, there were 2 DAG currencies that increased a lot - IOTA and RaiBlocks and Byteball is currebtly the most advanced DAG crypto with working wallet and ecosystem and I expect it would be between these 2 in terms of market cap - this means the price of Byteball would grow further. There is additional airdrop planned for Byteball holders (+0.1GBYTE for each 1GBYTE owned) as well airdrop if you have linked your BTC wallet. I would recommend to wait as the price will definitely go up.

When IOTA to bittrex ?
IOTA is not on Bittrex yet, but is already had its great growth and still has good potential in the future. On Bittrex, they offer another DAG based crypto - Byteball, compared to growth of IOTA (10bil USD marketcap) or Raiblocks (2.8bil USD marketcap), it has the growth phase still ahead (680mil USD marketcap). And compared to these 2, it has the most advanced eco system with working wallet, smart contracts so this has good potential.

Bitcoin is still the number one coin, that is used to valuate any other coins and it has not shown its full potential yet. I think the 100k USD is definitely possible in very near future.

I believe OmiseGo still have a long way to go. But today was a nice beautiful gain. And there is a lot more to see from them. I am really excited about this crypto and I love their vision for the payment systems.
Yes, I agree there is long way to go, but with the development team and Vitalik Buterin - the genius behind Ethereum, I am convinced 2018 would be a big year for OmiseGo. They will get the state of the art technology such as Plasma first on the market. Compared to coins that are growing only on rumors or whitepapers, OmiseGo is project backed up by working technology, already existing partherships and one of the best minds in crypto.

OmiseGo is a great project, looking to disrupt traditional payment processors. The market is huge and OmiseGo has strong support from Vitalik Buterin, it has strong fundamentals, it is open payment platform and decentralised exchange, compared to closed and centralized ripple - owned and controlled by few people, I believe OmiseGo has much greater potential.

https://www.finder.com.au/salt-cryptocurrency-received-over-500000000-in-loan-requests-in-one-week

Here you can read about the huge number of loan requests. Exactly $550,000,000 for a one week.
It proves the Salt is on the right way. Good to invest there in my opinion.
Absolutely agree, SALT is project right on target, there are lot of money invested in cryptos and of course, you do not want to sell your precious blockchain asset - so you have 2 options go to bank and ask for loan - and you get under scrutiny, you need salary confirmation, insurance, this and that, nothing pleasant to go through or we have SALT option - use your Bitcoin (Ethereum and alts comming in 2018) to secure the loan and get and repay in fiat, hassle free. If I have to chose, SALT is the way to go and the token would definitely see a very nice growth this year as well.

by

Ethereum Classic is finally getting the deserved attention, it is great and highly undervalued crypto - it offers all the functionality of ETH but with much lower fees and faster transactions, it has definitely potential to grow to 0.15 ETH value level which would be great profit if you add it to the portfolio at current prices.
