I look forward to lunokhod2's work and hope you support him,too.
Everyone knows there's something going on here.I'm glad he can stand up instead of leaving.I do not blame the people who left,in fact they had one thousand reasons for leaving.
I accepted lunokhod2 as a trustworthy person from the start,and he accomplished the anoncoin wiki  which is a wonderful achievement.
Good luck to lunokhod2 and anoncoin.

Message from Meeh

Meeh has asked myself (lunokhod) and cryptoslave to take a more formal role in the Anoncoin project as project managers. This move is designed to give the other developers more time to concentrate on what they do best, all while bringing in extra help to aid in dealing with general organizational and PR issues.

We will provide a more detailed statement in the next 24 hours as to what this will mean in practice. You can rest assured that development is continuing and that the project has not been abandoned: If things were not moving forward, we would never have agreed to take on this responsibility!

Just to be sure, you must put lines in your anoncoin.conf thus:

addnode=37.187.144.36
addnode=67.209.191.40
... and so on for all the IPs that are on the list

Apologies if you'd already done it this way but never know  Smiley

Of course I do.But no snyc.So wierd.

Well, this was the final blow for me. I tried my best helping out by matching donations to make this happen, things were looking good, but with so many estimations being completely wrong I simply have lost all faith. The git commits do not inspire confidence.

It was a good dream. Now it's monero and perhaps zerocash for me. I'm out, best wishes.

WDL I never think of you before.
And why would you ever like me?  Or you did like me, and now you don't?
It is not important now.

You can like gnosis if you want, I'm not against that.

You will see the price, that is the only you like or not.
It is not about me.

OK,You can get out,with your ugly English.

@WDL: You must to understand that the community is tired with these promises and delays.

Of course I see,we are senior members of ANC community,we hold the same feeling which is no more than disappointment.
What I want to say is the devs(don't include K1) lost their spirit of geek,if they remenber the word.I'm very upset and I will never forget this day.
So many people lose their faith in ANC,WHAT A SAD DAY.In fact we could do better.
I have talked with Lunokhod2 some days ago,and ,I got a hunch of breakdown.

My last post on bitcointalk.

I yearned for ANC since 2013, I tried to advertise it, I put in a few ideas and a little bit of work, not too much.
I told people how great it will and would be, I made them think it was on testnet on the 15th, I changed their way of thinking and some of the people bought, cuz they liked the idea.

Now I stand a fool - Just as I stood like a fool with Zetacoin.

It won't happen to me again, because this incident made me lose all trust in people on the internet. Even the people who supposedly did work on something and seemed legit even at second sight.

I won't come back to crypto anymore - I lost so much... and I gained too little, and I don't mean that moneywise.

Goodbye.

What a sad stroy as me,I don't know how to comfort you.

Should all the code be open source in Github if we are still 2-3 months away?

Is there anyone (hero member with a perfect reputation) that could maybe hold new donations in escrow as a reward for new developers to help Gnosis finish the project on a contingency basis (only getting paid upon completion)?

Gnosis, if someone were to help you, what would you need the most? Math experts? More programmers? Both? Can the remaining work easily be subdivided so multiple people can work on it at once?

I would say the math part has been easiest for me. It would really only take one other good C++ coder (especially one who's familiar with the Bitcoin/Anoncoin codebase) to speed this up a lot.

I could potentially offer to create new wallets to hold the funds.  I've before now held sole access to a large wallet for the publically traded - www.redstarmining.com - for almost three years now safely.

Good,Let's save the project.
Apparently Gnosis has got through a lot of work for implement of ZC,it is really a pity to give up.

Lot of work?  How do you know that?  How much is that about in percent?? before 24h it was like 90% I think,
almost done.
What would he say if you ask him today?

We need new developer, or I think team of ppl, not one guy if ZC is plane to be done.

Today, I'm for that ZC put on FOLD,  and go straight.
*without meeh's post, we don't know anything.

If somebody is in contact with him, you should ask him to get here.

I am upset. Not so much because of the delay (delays are normal) but because I feel misled.

How could a 1 more week (before testnet) estimate possibly coincide with the 2-3 month estimate now?

Where is the hardfork difficulty fix that was "imminent"?

I tweeted based on these estimates and spent a lot of time contacting merchants, etc discussing Zerocoin. Now I feel like it will probably be harder to regain interest from these merchants because the time estimates I shared with them were off by a wide margin.

I think the community still want Gnosis to work as hard as possible to finish the project ASAP. However I would suggest we require a POD (proof of developer) before making any more donations to allow him to work full time past Nov 1st.

 I am in favour of the suggestion.Gnosis should show his identity,otherwise he is difficult to get the trust.

My point of view.

- I believe the Dev Team HAS TO do something about the issues in cryptsy and bittrex, no matter what you think of them or bitching about who is coming to who with this issue, it can't be to have a coin and exchanges which are having major trouble and creating false txs since weeks!!! OBVIOUSLY nobody has a real solution nor really want to help them figuring it out at all - Everything I see is "It's this and that, do it or don't, u are a crappy exchange anyways" - It's not the way to behave.
With not doing so you are willing to sacrifice the stashes of many people around here and of many who want to buy into Anoncoin, so yeah ...

- Zerocoin: Well, another week, I'm very familiar with delays and every delay turned out to be a total disaster in my world- I tend to think it's different with Anoncoin but we will see.

- Anoncoin MM, Patch etc: We were informed about a coming HardFork, curiously awaited.

You know, with K1 who was (WAS) able to easily mine the false txs but now is not able to do so quickly anymore - it's damn important that the developers act fast.

I would not recommend anybody to buy ANC as of right now, I'm excited for Zerocoin, but the blockchain is a destaster.

That's my view.
We are working on it.

That is appreciated. Thanks a lot,we know how much you have worked for ANC,HERO K1773R.

I'd like to correct a couple of misunderstandings regarding Darkcoin in your otherwise outstanding PR material.

First, you say that DarkSend is a mixing service. It's not a service, it's a decentralized offchain mixing implementation.

Secondly, you say that with blockchain analysis software, it is easy to deanonymize transactions that have been mixed using these services (which include DarkSend). But because DarkSend mixing is done offchain, it actually cannot be deanonymized by analyzing the blockchain. Whereas with enough computing power (quantum computers, or unexpected advances in math), onchain anonymized blockchains (zerocoin, cryptonote, zerocash) can be deanonymized. In that sense DarkSend is future proof.

Hi, I'm not trying to start any flamewar here or disparage DRK in any way (I am a prominent member of the darkcoin community after all).  But I need to respond to this post in the interest of defending the facts.  It is absolutely 100% incorrect to say that Darksend mixing occurs offchain.  It happens 100% onchain and I have spent many hours analyzing the Darksend transactions on the blockchain during DRKs early development and communicating with Evan about how to improve the process. I think DRK does a good job of anonymizing transactions, but they are still onchain and they could potentially be de-anonymized via taint analysis under certain circumstances - read Kristov's analysis for further details. DRK is an excellent coin IMO, but your statement above is inaccurate. The best way to describe DRKs mixing is "a decentralized multi-step mixing service".

Absolutely no flamewar wanted or needed - and I'm happy being proven wrong, that's when learning happens the best.

However, we don't have an established terminology yet I guess, so imo what offchain vs onchain anonymization means is:

offchain anonymization = correlation between inputs and outputs does not exist in the blockchain
onchain anonymization = correlation between inputs and outputs does exist in the blockchain, but is hidden by using cryptography (method of hiding could be ring signatures, or zerocoin)

I noticed that off chain tec which depends on gateway transfer had been developed by some devs, it is not a mystery,and in fact the gateway technology can also be analyzed,everything is mathematics,so I prefer to trust Zerocoin which holds zero-knowledge proof .

POSSIBLE ANONCOIN BUG REPORT

Hi. Today we are faced with a problem reported by some Bleutrade users that withdraw his was not working. We found it strange being our lasts withdraws with 0 confirmations. We decided to investigate.

::::: Normal Withdraw Today :::::

        "to" : "b w17686 e4050480"
    },

0 confirmations? why?...

This transaction also does not appear in explorer. hmm... ok, let's investigate...

For this example, we will use a normal transaction in the original wallet (Another Normal Withdraw, days ago):

    {
        "account" : "",
        "address" : "ASz5NtGjBRjHoP2RPqeCAEcbvm1KC3xwcx",

        "comment" : "b w2721 e126667",
        "to" : "b w2721 e126667"
    },

First step to test, creating a new wallet.dat with all existing addresses and privkeys.

After RESCAN and REINDEX and CHECKBLOCKS etc..:

:::: SURPRISE :::::

The transaction of example disappears and this appears:

"AYQWQCixS4cpi4gyc8vVdmrNCzKRsm245J(310.91985481 ANC - Unspent)" - Anonymizer? ok, but...

Our ORIGINAL wallet.dat does not contain the private key or another key or path of 'AYQWQCixS4cpi4gyc8vVdmrNCzKRsm245J'!!!

This is the explanation for non-confirmations of the lasts withdraws. The Blockchain not recognize this and other addresses. Was forgotten in time. This may not have been affected by a forked block, because it is an old transaction.

We can not trust the current app, we does not understand because on send 446.11059087, 310.91985481 ANC lost to a arbitrary nonexistent address in a original wallet.dat! The application is not storing correctly the private keys of anonymizer addresses.

Final Thoughts

We ask immediately withdraw their ANCs from Bleutrade. We do not know what may happen in the future, because this app is not updated over 1 year. We believe that there may exist bug in a hidden zero coin system that does not properly stores the transactions wallet.dat file. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The problem with metaphors is they don't address any specific issues, rather they just amplify fears that understandably exist for all new systems. I suggest metaphor is a poor tool for your argument.

People should do what they want but some additional advice you might offer is to be cautious of people (such as yourself) who are obviously not newbies writing criticisms on one coin page under newbie accounts.

Fair?

The problem you cite with metaphors is your own issue. If you don't understand it you have the choice of jumping on the bandwagon and criticizing or asking for clarification. You choose the bandwagon. Fine.

Zerocoin's development process with regard to anc is deeply flawed and there is very little likelihood any resdulting algo will actually be implemented for any significant length of time.

It starts with a project that was abandoned by some fairly competent people then adds a patch that is ridiculous.

There are scam warning signs all around this project starting with the absurdity of rsa ufo's.

It's almost funny how stupid people can be. Zerocoin is a scam. It may have started with good intentions but anyone who has looked through it knows what is going on. Make some money on the pump if you like. No doubt someone has been making money placing trades based on news about zerocoin.

YES,Bitcoin is a scam,too.and Gavin Andresen who said zerocoin can  join bitcoin protocol smoothly is a liar obviously. Cheesy
