Does anyone have any insight into the exact nature of the problems intersango and mtgox etc have with UK bank accounts?
Is it pressure from the authorities re bitcoins in particular or AML in general? Or technical?

Probably lots of transactions to a few accounts in a short period of time would lead to a block by the heuristics.
Might be the authorities as well - Silk etc etc.
Sucks that this is effecting all of the UK btc users, pretty damn unfair

it has nothing to do with age. i got a computer science prof. at the university there is 57, and i think he could grasp the concept of bitcoin better then the most of the users of this forum. but i also know people 18-25 that would never understand what the fuck is going on.Well I'm cometely new to all this and only just starting to grasp the basics of it.
I'm in exactly the same boat as you here, major learning curve.
I currently see 150 pages of replies, which makes me have some doubts that anybody will see this post, let alone reply to it.
