It is a double edge sword tho. If you are playing with lebron that means you are in spotlight but also lebron makes your life easier. That stress is put on people that plays with lebron for a reason, lebron gets the attention of defenses and usually gives you a pass that gets to you when you are wide open and all you have to do is shoot. You need to defend well when with lebron and you need to know your moves. Lebron makes your life easier so the critics are kinda right, if you can't play properly with lebron, you can't play anywhere else neither.

 I know if you can get your hands on some great gpu drivers and start mining today you can mine eth or anything you seem to like and make some return hopefully.

 But what I wanted to ask is different. Say you got your hands on 100 radeon rx480 , you set it up, its running and everything seems perfect so far.

 What if eth gets too difficult? Which it will, what if eth goes down , which I don't think will happen, there are many stuff.


 What my question is this;

 What if I get my hands on 100 graphic cards like radeon rx480, however, I decide to not mine eth but mine through a pool that is multi algo and multi coin, just use the best algo at that exact moment to mine the optimum profitable coin. Is there pools like that anymore? Can I do that? Just mine whatever is most profitable at that moment and realize the profits?

 If I get 100 radeon rx480 , will I be able to make money with it for a while or is it just 1-2 years at most? I would like to heavily invest in this but I would like to get the initial investment back before I consider reinvesting and getting more or replacing.


tl;dr : Can I use current good graphic cards to mine coins now or future coins or whatever is most profitable and make money for 5 or so years even maybe more?

 I paid 0.0001 miners fee like suggested.

 It took 625 minutes (10 hours 25 minutes!) for it to reach where it should.

 It has been 4 hours and still couldn't send my coins. I paid 0.0001 for 4 hour delay here, now I will sleep and when I wake it will probably be completed but I was waiting since its bitcoin and the transaction could occur in 30 minutes or less. 4 hours and I have paid the 0.0001!! Miners fee is killing 'fast transaction' part of blockchain.

 I don't know if it is my luck or general but I send around 40 cents to a dice website and paid 4 cents for it to go and right now it has been 3 hours or so and it hasn't arrived. 0.0001 was default fee that I 'should' pay if I want everything to be fast , I paid the 0.0001 that is basically taken from me by force (if I don't pay it it may take days!) and still takes more then 3 hours?

 I do not understand why we have to pay for 4 cent per transaction tough, isn't that too much? Who decides the 0.0001 should be the optimal miners fee? How come I get lighting fast transaction if I pay 0.01 and I wait 2 days if I don't pay any?

 Now before you say 'duh miners of course' , I would like to ask , when people mine , they get what? 12.5 bitcoins per block? 25 btc? whatever , they get something from the 'unmined bitcoins' part .

 Why do we also have to pay them certain amount to send something to other people? If we have to pay something for the sake of involving in a technical detail which I am too far away of understanding , why are we not paying just 1 satoshi?

 Considering all the transactions everyday all day , miners probably started to make more money from miners fee rather then mining unmined coins. 4 cent could be little for one person but when all combined in everywhere , it is huge.

 By my calculation about 20 people in each position (except hero and legendary , which would be just 1) and 30 post max , you will have to spend around half a coin , which is around 200 $ , that is weekly. So there are websites in bitcoin community who probably spend around 1000$-1500$ on advertisement. Wow.
