It seems that RPCMiner has a bug with the stratum mining proxy. Easily fixed.

And then my workers started finding hashes.
just took one worker off the stratum proxy to connect directly to slush's pool, and the shares started rolling in....
So it is clear that the proxy is the issue. Either I configured it wrong, or the shares aren't being credited.
Anyone else have this issue?

If you want to mine for fun, solo mine and hope you hit the lottery. What's the point of PPS if it isn't "for the money". Why look for steady payouts?

I can understand exactly why anyone would want to mine even at 3Mh/s!
Exploration, a sense of wonder, the joy that comes from setting something up and it works.
Not everyone must be financially motivated to explore.
It's not the Destination, it's the Journey!
Yeah, I can understand that, and I think it's good. He is already mining, but now he wants a new pool to get better hasrates or more coins, then, that is no more "curiosity" it's greed. And 3mh is not enough.Exploration, a sense of wonder, the joy that comes from setting something up and it works.

The advice we are giving is because a peson who is new may think he can make money mining with a very low hasrate, it's not true. We try to help you to understand that is not worth the effort, the time spended reading how to configure the machine, the software, the pool, etc; and the electricity you are using.
If you understood all of this and you still think that you want to explore, knowing you are losing resources instead of getting it, and knowing that the satisfaction will be on the exploration and not in the amount fo coins or money, then it's perfectly reasonable.

Where on Slush's website do you find that screen? I've been looking everywhere for it.
"Statistics" link, third link down on the left.
I see that link, but see a different table. One that doesn't include the "your shares" etc.

slush's pool has anexcellent irc-like chat, use that to get help!
And I was told there that there was no point in asking there, as Slush doesn't visit it. Only on the forum....
I joined Slush's pool with RPCMiner and saw my account begin to collect a small amount of bitcoins almost immediately (.00009BTC).
The Site showed that I was using Getwork protocol and if I used stratum the fees would be lower.
So I did.
And now, even though I have added workers, my account shows nothing accumulated.
perhaps using stratum makes the jobs bigger and therefore, less updates on the site. However, stratum is querying stratum.bitcoin.cz on a regular basis.
Does anyone know of a way to see if stratum is actually making any progress? perhaps my dabbling with a CPU mining is just not worth it for stratum as the jobs are already old by the time they report back to slush's pool?
