Is there a way to setup an account with 2 Factor Authorization protection?

Want to invest 10 BTC but hesitant to invest on a site without this basic protection in place.

Yes the nVidia submitted kernel is expected to run 10-20% faster than Dave Andersen's kernels.

*sigh* I was almost hoping that was not the case. Now In good consonance I can't leave it be and only hash @ 500 kh/s a card.

Back to fucking this some more.

500 is fairly good on a Titan without overclocking. I've got my solo titan at 620 with +155 Core -502 Mem, try it.

Is that using the latest cudaminer? What kernal settings are you using?

Yes, latest version cudaminer, tried both x64 and x86 versions, same within a few khash of each other.

Settings are: -m0 -l T5x24 -i 0 -H 1 currently, although I have tried different values and none seem to make much, if any, difference.

Seems like T10x24 gets me about the same hashrate as the 12.18 cudaminer version. I'll play around some more and see what happens.  Trying to do this without overclocking.

Should I try to go back to the December version? Am I missing a prerequisite software to make this work with the latest version?

Maybe try running 4 individual cudaminer instances, each with individual -d flags from 0 to 3

You could also try passing the -m 1 flag to use a single memory block on each card.

I have no idea what is causing the cards to act so strangely.

Christian

Running T14x24 -m 1 flag, 1 GPU per instance works but with the pitiful hashrate of 17-20 kh/s.

I was getting 500 kh/s per Titan Gpu on the December cudaminer build.

Try going downwards from 24 till you find one that gives you good khash

Retested 12.18 cudaminer release. Confirmed 500 kh/s per Titan running T14x32, all 4 gpus in one instance of cudaminer.

So your recommending I start at T14x24 and go decrease until a good config is found? Why is the auto config failing me? Are there any known working settings for GTX titans using the latest version of cudaminer? Should I expect a better hashrate in the latest version of Cudaminer?

"launch timed out" is unusual for autotuning an scrypt coin.

use -l T14x24 instead of -l T14x32. This should fit your cards.

the problem arose when you updated your cudaminer release from a December 2013 to a February 2014 release. Kernels were swapped out (nVidia's submission proved to be a bit faster than David Andersen's kernels).

T14x24 launches and hashes around 7-8 kh/s on each card for a few seconds...then I get the same launch error on GPU #3

Should I try to go back to the December version? Am I missing a prerequisite software to make this work with the latest version?

Hi Guys! I need your help to fix my rig.

Just did a format-clean-re-install of windows 8.1 and cudaminer won't hash now properly. Any insight how to fix this would be much appreciated!

System Specs:
Windows 8.1
Nvidia driver 334.89
1 Quadro 4000 slot 1 on Supermicro chassis
4 GTX Titans GPUs in Cubix Xpander Desktop Elite (I'm trying to hash with just the Titan's)
Supermicro 7047grTFT
2 x E5-2660 XEON CPUs
128 GB system ram

How about this hypothetical...

I buy for 50 btc a "good" from Japan and have that "good" shipped to me. Customs declared value 50btc

I then sell and ship a different "good" to Japan for $6500 paid via international wire transfer. Customs declared value of $6500

Maybe that "good" could be a software program that doesn't need to be physically shipped?

Wait a minute... So by that same logic. If I buy coins on coinbase today, then sell them back to coinbase a month later at a profit(assuming btc price rises) I would be classified as an exchanger?

Isn't this the goal of most people buying bitcoins? Is there currently no legal way for a "user" to speculate on the price of BTC without Fincen and state government approval?

What if my s-corp pays me for my services in BTC via coinbase? I'm I only allowed to buy products and services with this btc and not eligible as a "user" to convert it back to USD?

The regulatory requirements if required do put quite a damper on this plan. But wouldn't coinbase, Mtgox and the banks technically be performing the exchange portion of this transaction? We would simply be using their services. What's the difference between this process and me simply buying coins on coinbase, selling them directly on Mtgox and wire to my US bank , besides taking months for an withdrawal to process? If we keep records of all cash flow and prove to the IRS were paying appropriate tax, I don' understand the issue.

Yes, I'm aware I won't get the 50 btc from coinbase instantly(takes about a week I believe) but I already have 50 btc in hand ready to start the process. I'd sell 50 on Gox and buy 50 more from coinbase to lock in the gains, if all goes well get my $$$ via my Japanese friend by the time I receive my 50 btc from coinbase and then repeat the process every week.

I'm very interested in attempting arbitrage via Coinbase to MtGox.

I'm well aware of MtGox's international bank wire withdrawal backlog. How long are the domestic Japanese banks deposits from Gox taking? I've read a few forum users claim it only takes a few of days, is this true?  I have a trusted Japanese friend currently living in the U.S who has a Japanese bank account.

What if......

I buy 50 BTC on Coinbase everyday...

My friend starts a Gox account and Sells my bitcoins on Mtgox...

deposits funds to Japanese domestic bank account...

Japanese friend wires funds to my US bank account, or potentially, my friend's Japanese bank may have a branch in US linking to Japanese domestic account allowing us to withdrawal cash in US.

With the current $10 price spread, we'll make $500 per transaction minus coinbase/Gox/bank fees. Will this work??? Can my friend open a MtGox account using an US ip address or does it need to be a Japanese IP address? What tax liability is there for this kind of activity? How long would the round trip of funds take?

Anyone have anecdotal experience executing a similar process, please share and thanks in advance.
