Neither minerd or yam are able to connect.
I'm able to mine in other pools to confirm a working connection, however not this one.
It seems to have an auth error, even though the password to auth is default x.
the wallet is legitimate.

Re: HOdlcoin CPU Solo Mining Guide

I'm interested in mining HODL on a VPS, does vultr or digitalocean care about the constant 100% CPU usage?

Has any of you gotten a dispute over it? if not, how has the mining been going in terms of hashrate? I have $20 lying around to spend on a VPS.

I haven't seen too much back lash from mining on these services.. but you should read all the terms.. that out of the way.. your best bet would be Vultr.. Hash is subjective.. so I cant give you a nice chart but on avg. we are seeing ~15h/s per vCPU/core

Ah, so it'd be similar to mining HODL on my i5-4590. I get around 80 h/sec with 1GB assigned, I have tried running with 2GB, I did not see an improvement even after adding up the halved hashrate.
So far I've found two blocks within a day and that was two weeks ago (CPU was running at 80C)  Grin
Since then I've ordered a heatsink and it's been running at 40C at full load, I could keep my PC running all day long mining HODL, I'm interested what are the chances of finding a block with such hardware, I've read that you guys were sometimes really lucky to find 6 blocks in a day with a VPS.

Though it's fun being part of a fair mining competition, compared to an altcoin launch that uses a SHA256/SCRYPT POW.

Adding up all the costs, I'd say mining HODL is profitable in the long run, though I'm really new to all of this.

If anyone is mining on a laptop or desktop, a high CPU temperature is what you should be worried about, get a cheap heatsink for your PC, if you're on a laptop, clean the dust out and make sure it has a good airflow so it doesn't overheat.

I wonder where HODL will be a year from now on.
Hopefuly FreeTrade maintains the project, if there's an incentive to buy, that would be now, since HODL is cheap.
You never know if you'll profit, but its fun, HODL is here to stay.

Whats is the specs / details of the coin? Please gave us more info...tnx

Argon2 coin.

1 - 600 : 1000 SPC coins
601 - 1200 : 500 SPC coins
1201 - 1800 : 250 SPC coins
1801 - 2400 : 125 SPC coins
Halving till 1 SPC coin.

Block time is 15 second.

Wallets and source links not added to the OP. Just over a day of mining and the rewards are already practically insignificant compared to the first few blocks.
Good luck getting anyone other than the 3 or 4 people who mined early to care about this.
It's barely been 12 hours and it's already down to 62.50 SPC per block, not quite the bright future for an altcoin, unless someone comes up with an original idea to let early adopters spend their earned SPC in a way.
I mean if info comes out this or next week, by the time it gets there, the coin could be down to a ridiculously low reward(1 SPC), I don't see this having a high value due to current distribution, however it could be fun to see something different than just a "mine and drop asap there's an exchange" coin once in a while, which is exactly what this looks like -right now-

This should have been pre-announced, to give an idea to what people would expect.
You shouldn't have let people mine your coin this early into the project when there's no info about it, there was absolutely no competition whatsoever and the select few who were able to even setup solomining obliterated the blocks, whoever notices this thread +12hrs later is basically already too late to the party since there is no more incentive to mine.

I'm interested to see what the idea behind this coin is, other than just being a bagholder and hoping it breaks the $0.0xxxx/SPC mark.

Also, there's already an altcoin with the ticker SPACE on YoBit, called SpaceCoin, so don't get this confused with that one.
No way this is getting added there without a ticker rename, maybe SPACEC, SPACECC or SPCC would be appropiate

Solo mining setup (Windows):

1) Get the wallet
2) Get the miner at https://www.bitteaser.com/press-releases/?title=argon2-optimized-miner

Run the wallet once, quit, this is so it generates the .conf file in %appdata%
Go to %appdata%/Roaming/SpaceCredits/ and open up SpaceCredits.conf

Add this:
rpcuser=Argon2rpc
rpcpassword=rootpw
rpcport=35050
rpcallowip=*
server=1

Save the file.

Now make a shortcut to your wallet, Make sure your target for your shortcut looks like this: SpaceCredits-qt.exe -server

Now your miner shortcut, make one, target should be like this: cpuminer-win64-haswell.exe -a argon2 -o http://127.0.0.1:35050 -O Argon2rpc:rootpw

Use the appropiate cpuminer to mine.

Any information on a mining pool yet? Not really getting anywhere mining solo :/
Same here, been mining with a i5 4590 for 3 days, I haven't hit a block yet.
A mining pool would be nice.
