Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

Yes, ETH is really good investment. Ethereum is the real deal. Backed by major companies via EEA wanting to build dApps on the Ethereum Blockchain, Ethereum has the potential to be the biggest out there in a few years. Ethereum is continuously pushing the boundaries on their daily transactions and making some impressive moves in the crypto work, but the fact that the stupid cat game brought so much attention to Ethereum is mind numbing. Now just think about a dApp that provides a real world solution in the Ethereum Blockchain, this would bring the masses to appeal developers and giant corporations. Think of Ethereum as the App Store for dApps.

That is good description of the ETH platform. That will underline the long term performance.

ether will go to pair with bitcoin in few times.

I think it is very difficult unless bitcoin price crashed to $1500 or less.

I can't get this to work on my PC.  It crashes after about 10-15 seconds on startup

Under clock. Or change the riser.

Ethereum is a good of investment and will surely increase in price in coming months or two. ETH has a great potential to grow and if you have ETH stored then hold them for some time.

The price has dropped quite a lot recently. It might rise soon.

I must admit to use Ethos with 7 gpus mining eth, 480 Nitro+ 8GB.

My 1200W PSU uses 1.27kW(!!) at the wall while mining with 28.86hs

What is the best bios to get the power down - i already tried some, but no success ...

I think you can use the afterburner to reduce the voltage.

Re: Can we get temperature to 70 C with automatic fan speed?

I set my fan speed to automatic in afterburner. Actually that's the default.

However fan speed is only 33% and temperature is above 80.

I want to tell whatever algorithm that arrange fan hi fan, please increase fan speed till temperature is 70 C

How can I do this.

You can use a fan control graph in the setting and when the temperature is higher than 70, make the fan run faster.

Hello! Sorry for offtopic question , but what is the advantage of using powered risers ? I was using 1x-1x unpowered risers with H61 BTC PRO ( wich has 2x MOLEX power plugs) for 2 yr. and had no problem with it.

If you use that H61 board, there is no need for the powered riser.

We've had a significant bull run already so I'm expecting a price drop rather than a bull run to the moon.

I think the price will be stable between $1000 to 1200 in the next few months. Then it will start rising again.

Ethereum is a bad coin, the price is drowning, it used to be good before the hardfork, now the price is under value and keep on decreasing, but there is still hopes in eth, eventhough it is drowning but it is still one of the coin with a lot of transaction, but i still wont risk my money for eth

If you do not like it, you can buy ETC.

I traded Etherum for a few months a while back and i made a good small amount of BTC out of it, it was very predictable and its highs and lows were the same every week for a while. but now i have no idea, i haven't followed it for some time now.

If you have lots of bitcoin, it is good time to buy some Ethereum now. The price of the ETH is quite low now.

The Ethereum and other altcoins price might drop further. There is more demand for the Zash at present.

Etherium current price of getting up, I think this will be something very good for the future. ETH can be bitcoin to 2 which has the same popularity. ETH is second my cryptocurrency after bitcoin, until now I have about 150 ETH
Well, ETH will definitely be a good investment. eth most likely will be above all altcoin, and probably will be the closest to bitcoin. yah, etc is very good to be used as a trade coin, other than that you can help it, because most likely eth will also have a high price in the future

The ETH has very big community support. So it might be the top of all the altcoins. But it is difficult for it to replace bitcoin.

That is right. The Ethereum is just a fuel for a smart contract system. The bitcoin is the universal currency.

That kind of bios is not exist for non ref cards. Each brand , each model number need a different modded bios . If you going to flash a Asus Bios to your XFX card , you going to brick you Card.

I didn't know It would required one for each manufacturer.

Thanks for all the info.

I have different brands of RX 480 total of 3 of them(XFX, Saphire) , and use only one bios, they are behaving correctly. I have them setup in one rig, but have to set the fans manually @80% to have them behave correctly.  Only branch I used different' is RX 480 Nitro. I never tried using the the  30Mh Low power bios.

Are they all reference RX 480? If so, you can use the same BIOS as the only difference in the BIOS is the manufacturer's ID.
