Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?
by
Whitegriever
on 17/11/2017, 19:00:48 UTC
Until the day that bitcoin is the only globally accepted currency, and by that I mean the only currency in the world, then of course the price will matter. Frankly I don't think that day will come and so for me the price will always matter if I own some bitcoin. I would own bitcoin with the hope of growing my dollar amount.
I agree many people was actually invested on bitcoin because they want to get a profit out of it ! meaning the price will always matter ! Imagine if bitcoin has no value I doubt  if people will still use bitcoins.
If bitcoin doesn't have any value or a high price then people will be lesser in terms of amount of users than now because the price is only one of the attractions of bitcoin and whether we accept it or not, the price is the only thing that matter for most of the people and that is why they are keep coming and staying in bitcoin because of the price.
Of course it matters , but more importantly I would say that it depends on the use you have of the BTC. If you want to invest, so the value may be the only factor you look at. But if you are really interested in the advatanges BTC offers and want to use it, the value is less important.
Yeah you are right the price and the importance of the bitcoin really matters because the bitcoin i8s being use by the people as an investment now and it is the bitcoin that is helping a lot of the people to have the bright and the best future if we will buy the bitcoin right now then tomorrow we will be very happy to have the bitcoin in the life and the investors will be proud of the investing and he I hope the price of the bitcoin will be more high.
I agree with you on that bitcoin price does matter because people only invest in something they see they can make profit out of and also they see that bitcoin is in the future and will be used for a lot of things so they invest in it.

Re: Do you USE your BTC?
by
Whitegriever
on 17/11/2017, 18:45:47 UTC
As everyone knows one of the major problems with Bitcoin economy is hoarding. The idea of this poll is to find out whether the lack of spending in the BTC economy is mainly due to the lack of acceptance of Bitcoin payments, or is it that people can actually buy a good deal of stuff that they need with BTC but choose not to.

No, but still I will buy the things that are important to me. After that, I'll try to focus more on accumulating Bitcoin.
That is right, only use your bitcoin to buy things that you really need and important for you so you will not regret for selling bitcoin and you can have a great future with bitcoin. Accumulate and collect more bitcoin because after a few years, i believed that the price of bitcoin maybe stabilizing at the 5 digit price.

I try to do so. As long as I do not need cash so urgently, I am trying not to sell any bitcoin not to regret later.

Every decision that we make make has a consequence attach to it. Whether or not we convert our bitcoins to fiat for emergency purposes, in the end we tend to regret it since we waste its potential value from further increasing. But that decision was essential for the satisfaction of your emergency situation or monthly obligations. It really depends on the individual on how they utilize their bitcoin, especially when they tend to be in a tight financial situation. The obvious choice is simply to convert your btcs to fiat. But if you have no reason to convert it, then I suggest not to since you are wasting a lot of value in the future.
I do not use my bitcoins i save them for the future when i want to use them i have set a goal for my bitcoins and i am going to reach that goal before that i will not use it people who made it their job use it everyday.

Re: Mining coins save or sell it?
by

on 16/11/2017, 19:35:51 UTC
Just sell them it is the best thing to do because you are actually earning free coins and if you know you are earning a lot there is nothing wrong with selling them this way you can also get your money back from how much you have spend on the mining process.

Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ?

Grin Grin Grin i can't stop laughing. So guys all don't do drugs hm? So you don't eat sugar, nor drink coffee / energy drinks or repeat any funny activity that you did before (what is some kind of addiction since you're addicted to the "good feeling" - serotonine and dopamine).

After all, all drugs do is pouring out your available supply of happiness hormones.
You're welcome.  Grin

#enlightenYourSoul
BBbbbut coffee is legal!1 Roll Eyes
and so is alcohol but it's the most dangerous drug. Heroine was legal and treated as medicine in the 1930s.

.. but i like your sarcasm Wink
Well, heroin is to some extent still treated as medicine. It just has a different name today.
Well where i live actually weed and hash are legal so i do not think that people would spend bitcoins on those but maybe if you are talking about hard rugs like heroine and stuff it could be possible.

I would say both are the same thing because if you are smart you can easily come up with a good strategy and if you are a strategic person you cannot be dumb because how can a dumb person make a strategy.

Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries?
by

Because some governments think that people will do illegal things with it it is very easy to send money for illegal stuff through bitcoin because it is totally anonymous and no one would know who bought what.

Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ?
by
Whitegriever
on 07/11/2017, 19:22:54 UTC
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
As I really can't predict the future,  I believe that anything can happen within that period, there is a saying that everything thay rises eventually falls, Bitcoin is the major crypto currency at the moment but I believe that as time goes on,  another will come which will be more profitable to people and they will flock towards it abandoning bitcoin.
Well, I believe so because bitcoin show all the potentials to survive the next 100 years.
The only thing i'm afraid is the fast change of technology. I don't know what the future might bring for now.
But for sure bitcoin is here to stay and nothing will dare to cross on it way and if anything do they will be dealt with.
Because many have tried and failed but bitcoin is still here, stonger than ever - Here we go, baby! Grin

I would doubt that. My reasoning we don't know even we (human beings) will survive 100 years or not as we try hard to consume more and don't live sustainable. If we survive then there is big chance that btc will also survive.
I do not agree with that because what have we as humans to do with something like bitcoin which is actually internet money bitcoin will survive lobger than we ever can because the internet does not die.
That is true but don't you think that bitcoin can die because of an economical crash? That can also make bitcoin die it does run on the internet but it is a part of the economy.

Re: Are Bitcoins taxable?

In my country it is that if you want to cash out your bitcoins you need to pay tax above that and that is a lot because you also have to pay the fees to trade bitcoin for real money than the tax on it to the government.

Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular?
by
Whitegriever
on 01/10/2017, 17:55:15 UTC
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
In the short term, no, I don't think it would be nearly as popular.  Most of the outside attention that bitcoin gets has to do with its crazy price swings.  "Bitcoin up 5 bazillion percent" headlines get people's attention.  Without that, I don't think there would be much interest outside of those people who are already interested in cryptocurrencies.

I agree with you. I have a couple of friends that invest In stocks and even they have a hard time to get into bitcoin.

I ask them why and mostly they says that it's only interesting when you are the first wave. They keep an eye at it for sure but not serious enough to adapt to it.

Then they are wrong, you should explain to them that the price of bitcoin has no limit because it has limited supply but when it's becoming more popular we cannot limit the demand. It's a simple math, in fact if you will understand and you know the trend very well you could make great income here compared to stocks trading.
I agree with you i personally think that if bitcoin had a stable price nobody would  love it as much right now because you could net sell it for more but you could sell it for less so it is not profitable we should be happy that it does not have a stable price.
