Re: Why do people use faucets?
by
Will.i.am Shakespeare
on 15/09/2015, 10:36:59 UTC
Without faucets, probably most of people would have never got bitcoins(satoshis)  enough to mess around with and ultimately learn about Bitcoin.
This is pretty true. I became familiar with Bitcoin because of a forum post explaining faucets.

Maybe back in the day but now its easier to just earn from signature campaigns and at least its not a waste of time which faucets are.

I'd be satoshi only if I still had access to all of his coins.  I think he could become the 1st trillionaire in the future.

I'm waiting for a huge asteroid to crash to earth that is full of gold. Now that would effect the price  Grin.

I also think that person finding the train is just a hoaxer.

i can make 60k satoshis per day from faucets

Aren't uou just wasting your time with faucets? I think you'd be better off not wasting your time with them and just doind your sig campaign instead.

How to save? Easy, don't spend it. All you need is a little discipline and cut back on the non essentials and its easy. You might find it hard at first but you'll soon get into it. I like to save as much as possible and of course I buy a little bit of coin as an investment too.

When is the halving? I'd say probably not as there's not that much demand for litecoin really. Might see some people panicking and buying it beforehand though.

Don't let her gender fool you,  just
She's just as much a man as the rest of them, she'll do what's always been done,  make the biggest promises when votes are needed and then screw the people to protect the money when in power.

People will vote for her just because she's a woman just like they did with Obama because he's black. Hillary will likely be much more war hungry than Bush or Barrack too so I agree don't let her gender fool anyone. Sadly I think she'll likely win but it doesn't matter who gets in nothing will change.

If they deemed it illegal then are the NSA going to face legal action? It's not ok for Snowden to steal evidence of wrongdoing but it's ok for the NSA to hack pretty much half the world and innocent people? They'll get around this decision for sure and their data collection will never stop it'll just get more secret.

Lol. Do you really even need to ask? Nobody is going to say they prefer Better Call Saul over Breaking Bad. You also can't compare 5 series to just one.

Re: Portugal decriminalised all drugs - now hardly anyone dies from overdoses
by
Will.i.am Shakespeare
on 08/06/2015, 19:51:49 UTC
Portugal decriminalised the use of all drugs in 2001. Weed, cocaine, heroin, you name it — Portugal decided to treat possession and use of small quantities of these drugs as a public health issue, not a criminal one. The drugs were still illegal, of course. But now getting caught with them meant a small fine and maybe a referral to a treatment program — not jail time and a criminal record.

This is exactly what the rest of the world needs to realize. Use the money you would spend locking up people from drug possession on rehabilitation and education. I think they should go one step further and regulate drugs all together.

anyone that votes for her simply because she is a women is a idiot.

Like people who voted for Obama because he was black? Part of me thinks it would be nice to have a female president... just as long as it's not Hilary. Looks like it'll be either another Bush or Clinton in the White House again, though.

Is this really unsurprising? Locked up in a house 24/7 I'd be surprised if he didn't have any. Would really love to know the titles though haha. They should just leak it. Can't see why they care about keeping it hidden as you think it'd be a great annoyance to jihadis.

Re: How to save money.
by
Will.i.am Shakespeare
on 11/05/2015, 17:35:47 UTC
Saving in a Bank or Bitcoin is the best possible options at present. Banks Will pay you interest and the money will be safe and can get access when & where required. Invest in small things and diversified products so at least you go through loss in one you can cover it up from other.

I dont think saving in a bank for now is the best thing you can do. With that low interest are you going to put it that way? Better if you do some investment and you will get higher payout than bank. You mustnt save more than invest, its like gambling. If you profit its alright if not just let it go. Dont set that mindset

You are right. Bank doesn't gives you that much interest but atleast your money is safe. You can withdraw anytime you wish to. While investment is long term you can't withdraw in between and even if you withdraw there are many costs associated with For eg. Life Insurance.

How come you are so sure that your money is safe? Actually they are using out money to invest on something or may be they use it to do other things so they give you low interest and eat up th rest. Bank is not stupid just to give you such money like that and if you just save there. You can't really get alot from it and for withdrawing I guess there is certain regulation for the withdrawing things so it will always on loss for us

Your money is more safe in a bank than it is under your bed that's for sure and they provide the service for free. Sure, they use your money to invest in things but that's how banks work. If you want a lot of interest either put it in a high interest account or invest it yourself but you could lose your money this way. Bitcoin isn't 100% safe either. If you get hacked then you've lost your money, but if someone drains your bank account there's a good job you'll get that money back. Both bitcoin and banks have their positives and negatives.

I don't get his point. How does bitcoin being 96% male dominated mean bitcoin is going nowhere? I'm sure most technological advances start off being highly male dominated but over time the ratio of men to women will get better.

It highly depends on what someone's life priorities are. If you don't want to spend your lifetime on working for someone else or being a "modern slave", making earnings from faucets (even if it is much less money than working for someone) can be very satisfying.

...I've stated a pretty valid point though. It is much better to do a hard job outside than to sit inside and use faucets.
...

I've never heard anyone claim clicking on faucets for dust is satisfying. I think most people seem to be dissatisfied with the piddly amount they earn from them hence why they always ask on here for alternatives. I think newbs just get excited by the prospect of free coins no matter how small but they soon realize they're wasting their time.

Re: UK's Plans to Regulate Bitcoin
by
Will.i.am Shakespeare
on 25/03/2015, 09:12:35 UTC
Not sure how they would do it but I expect every time before you make a withdrawal, you will need to submit a long list of supporting documents that require yourself to declare some statements concerning where the coins are obtained. Also they could make it mandatory for companies dealing in bitcoin to register and comply to certain guidelines. I see good and bad to it.
Thats only if you do it throught a bank. They can't stop P2P (as in person to person) direct local exchange of BTC for cash. There's always a risk of it being a trap, but if you buy from a trusted seller form LocalBitcoins nothing wrong should happen. It sucks tho, it makes adquiring Bitcoin as if you are adquiring god damn coke or something.

I can see a lot of people still getting their accounts shut down. It's happened quite a few times in the UK from what I've read on this forum.

"Do you have plans to randomly freeze accounts due to "suspicious activity" where the details are withheld from the account holders for the purposes of "security and fraud-prevention"?"

I am presently unable to answer your question ;-) however I would direct
your attention to rule 162 of the standard contractual conditions, just
under those providing various forms of indemnity, and "First Born Collateral".

I can tell you that this week I am providing a free badge to all new clients
in recognition of their contribution to GDP and the employment given to
countless numbers of otherwise unemployable fact-checkers, not to mention
the launch of my new company Badge Builders Conspiracy Inc ...

What's this about and where are you quoting it from?

I noticed that more and more EX/Former Wall Street guys are taking their talents to Bitcoin-related businesses.

http[Suspicious link removed]c-blythe-masters-swaps-wall-street-for-bitcoin/

I mean..Bitcoin was built in the first place to avoid these guys..

It's good that these bankers are coming over. If you can't beat em join em. I'm sure they can see the great potential in bitcoin and they can help promote it at least. I'd rather have them involved than not at all.

Here are some of the chat logs between DPR and VJ/Cimon: https://de.scribd.com/collections/13080591/Silk-Road-trial-exhibits

Why the hell did Ross keep chat logs of this sort of stuff. He seemed to keep logs and notes of pretty much everything. He even asked for his 'employees' ID which was a silly thing to do especially by the employees. Why would they give him their IDs thus incriminating themselves and Ross once they were found. Pure stupidity.

Re: What is the elites plan when they get back from the island?
by

just because the venue is a remote island doesnt make much differnce IMO

Actually as someone that had the opportunity to go, but didn't act on it for my own views about some of the people there. I have to agree and disagree. I think they all wanted to go to a nice vacation spot, but I would have enjoyed just listening on skype more than flying to a remote island.

Wasn't it going to be streamed live online ?

Well if it is that would certainly put an end to all the omg it's a secret bilderburger Illuminati meeting. People really like to stoke up a fuss about nothing on here sometimes.
