Re: Bitfinex and Thether =unlicensed and unregulated
by

Just imagine if tether is a decentralized project? Wouldn't things look even more crazy? The reason why I decide to use USDT to store funds isn't because I trust the project or because I believe it's backed by some real assets or reserves but because it's centralized and it's trying to be a USD pegged stable coin, SEC will easily be on this project's ass than any dex stable coin

Re: XRP vs SEC latest news
by

Things looks uncertainty for XRP right now but to play safe is why people are advising others not to invest on the project, it's undenial that XRP is well trusted by some people, organization, entities and companies around the globe which is why I believe it won't die easily, the price was over 64 cents days ago before bitcoin lost 7000$ worth of value but today XRP is climbing back up again

This have happened many times already, the lastest is amepay project, sold some tokens for 4cents and today amepay token reach 12cents per token, the thing is I feel satisfied for telling at 4cents but looking at how much I would have make If I'm selling right now really got me good but there is a saying that goes this way, a half bread is better than one

Re: Who Benefited from AME Token?
by

on 23/02/2021, 12:25:38 UTC
I am still very confident that AME will still develop over time.
of course it will continue to grow, especially as they plan to create their own blockchain which will be launched in a few months. besides that I see a lot of good news in March
The new listings have been postponed to march? I thought it's happening this february ending that's even why I'm still holding my AME tokens of not I would have dumped at 4 cents already, if truly they are going for binance exchange then I think it will worth the wait

Re: Ethereum gas problem to be resolved in July
by
Winscosinally
on 23/02/2021, 12:20:54 UTC
Many of us are deservedly outraged by the high gas price that has recently been paid for moving ERC-20 and ethereum tokens. However, the solution to this problem is already approaching. In July, in about four months, as part of the improvements to Ethereum 2.0, it is expected that high gas prices will go away, if not forever, then for a long time.
Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1559 is the most anticipated improvement along with increased scalability for the network since the launch of ETH 2.0.
We hope that the staggering popularity of Ethereum will not only recover, but also soar to an unprecedented level.
Link:
https://beincrypto.com/ethereum-developers-eye-july-gas-saving-eip-1559-launch/
Sounds like you are 💯 sure about this, ethereum dev and team have let me down few times already and not ready to place another bet on this one, EIP1559 might still be postponed again or even get cancelled, don't trust anything these people says until they make it happened

Re: Ethermine profitability shooting up like crazy!
by

on 23/02/2021, 12:17:03 UTC
Tremendous amount of transactions happening on ethereum blockchain right now so yes mining should be more profitable than before, kinda like what we witnessed when DeFi projects are growing on hypes in 2020, this happens because many are selling their eth thinking the bull season is over

by

It's kinda too late to build a mining rig right now because does graphics card have skyrocketed in price, it's like using the money that can buy 3 graphics card to buy one right now is just better to invest your money in altcoins rather than thinking about getting GPUS for mining..

Re: 400$ per GTX1660 Ti
by
Winscosinally
on 22/02/2021, 14:16:06 UTC
Presently is 400$ per gtx1660 Ti a good buy? Now that no one knows how long mining profitability will keep up, is this a good price to buy or I should let go and wait for later? The offer consist of just three of this graphic cards right now, what do you say?
i would say no for 400$ while you can buy 1080 ti 2nd for that price and better on every algo, even on gaming you can resale later

we are going dive soon and the profit will be normal again, it should affect gpu price for while
So gtx1080ti beats gtx1660ti at gaming? That's a plus point between these two cards I'd say, but gtx1080ti is more power consuming than gtx1660ti, I'd rather get 31mh @80watt than 49mh @230 watts, it doesn't make sense if you are paying for electricity, gtx 1660ti still wins

I'm using Nicehash software for mining too but I'm not getting that number of rejected shares, in your case it's pretty bad , way too much of rejected shares, click on the Nicehash software settings and change location to nearest country, you should get lower rejected shares this way, Nicehash got a big problem on their hand

Used bitmain s9 for 45$ on alibaba sounds too good to be true even when I knew that the miner is old, that price is red flag, how about a 100$ ? That's fair enough, hope you aren't looking into a defective product? Before buying make sure seller have sold tons of the items already and buyers are talking good about the seller

From zero to hero, that's my kind of story in crypto space, years ago many people would discourage me about crypto investment ,they will tell me I'm just wasting my time, they will tell me crypto is a bubble, they will tell me that Bitcoin won't work but I'm glad that I don't listen to them advice, now I'm much more better than I was years ago, all they could do now you send me text messages telling me they want to invest in crypto, can you see that Huh I don't blame them, people tend to hate what they don't understand

Re: And yet another problem for promoters
by
Winscosinally
on 20/02/2021, 13:19:28 UTC
There is going to be another problem for bounty hunters soon, now that ethereum is over 1900$ finally the gas fee keeps increasing and majority of bounties are smart contract, team can easily say the gas fee is too high so they can't send tokens to bounty hunters, I think it's the right time for bounties to start paying bounty hunters in USDT Tron or BTC, what do you say?
There is no way the bounties will be sent in other coins that have valuation, the idea behind bounties is to have exposure for the coin and to have active traders and the most important part is to attract investors and till now i have seen only a few projects providing bounties in bitcoin or ETH and most projects are experimental and they wont risk paying out huge amounts before that.
This amepay project that people are talking about here needs not much exposure anymore, they raised millions of dollars already and paying promoters should be piece of cake, few months back they introduced a bounty campaign that paid hunters in BTC and after that's over they Introduced the token payment campaign, it shouldn't be hard for the team to consider

by

I didn't choose Beam for the GPUs to mine, that's the only option I get.  I'll look again for the Kapow benchmark in Nicehash.  And yes I do use the Nicehash mining client on all 3 PCs.
Kawpow algorithm is more profitable on nvidia cards right now and also look into conflux, it's a coin running on octopus algorithm, it's far more profitable than even kawpow algorithm

Re: Add2PSU or 24 Pin PSU Jumper Which Safe?
by
Winscosinally
on 20/02/2021, 13:13:55 UTC
You can always just do the paperclip trick which is pretty much free. Rarely do people use 2 PSUs these days however back in 2013-2014 it was the norm pretty much. All you need to do is short 2 pins on the second PSU and as soon as you push the switch it will turn on.

A few safety things.

Make sure the PSUs are grounded together somehow.
Don't mix +12V between the 2 PSUs. Use a volt-meter to test and confirm.
On the aux PSU, hook up some fan so in the rare case that the main PSU shuts down, the aux psu won't be running without a load

If you are good with electronics you can hook up a relay so both PSU start and shutdown at the same time.
The paperclip trick? I still use this trick in 2021 haha 😂 until I was able to get a motherboard and a 1000watt power supply and I say good bye to the 650 power supply, I had to watch a youtube video before having then confidence to do it

Re: HELP: Phoenix miner hangs on Ethermine pool
by
Winscosinally
on 17/02/2021, 19:55:41 UTC

Try Team Red Miner, this miner is one of the best for AMD video cards and it has a version for windows
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5059817
This miner has a reduced commission for video cards with a Polaris chip.
What AMD drivers are you using?
What is the size of the virtual memory file? You need to install at least 16 GB.

Don't mean to degrade this teamredminer but it performs very worse for me compare to other miners, maybe it's because I'm using from nicehash software? I could be wrong but it's pretty bad inside nicehash, hashrate is very very low compared to phoenix miner

If taking profits is hard for you then you are a new crypto investor, newbie I guess, I always feel this way in the past, thinking that the coins I hold can grow higher and I don't want to regret but all those coins never grow higher till date, I believe it's more better to take profits when you can and hold only very few coins just in case

Re: Which stablecoin do you trust the most?
by

It sounds stupid to put all your trust on centralized projects but at the same time even decentralized projects are not safe, I would choose USDT stable coin over decentralized stable coins because it's regulated just like BUSD, USDC and others, that's it usdt all the way

I miss the old days where you can configure your gpu inside mining software called claymore, you can reduce temp and also overclock without using msi afterburner or any other tools, is claymore still working in 2021? Anyone here still using claymore?

Hmm let's see, a single RTX3070 will draw 117 watts when mining Ethereum Algorithm and you said you have 4 pieces, that's like 468-500 watts for the four gpus, 850watt power supply should be enough for this setup 🤔🤔🤔💯💯
