So i turned on a old computer from 2011-2012 and i have a small amount of btc in the wallet. Should i just copy the wallet dat file over to newer client? dont want to risk anything and havent been around in a while
You will need to start Bitcoin Core with the upgrade wallet option after you copy the wallet.dat file to the data directory.

Thank You,
I will try this

Advice: 5¢, though I'm told I overcharge.
Testing sports cars, I prefer Italian.
Take care of wives while husbands are away, I also prefer Italian.

Make it provably fair.
Stop asking people to do this, if they felt it was in their blueprint or plans it would be included.
It just annoying now. Just dont play if you dont think he is fair. Additionally, He may not even know what that is. You could say something like, "It would be easier to garner trust in this specific community (which is small and insignificant in gambling terms) by providing a service to prove the fairness of your bets...just a suggestion" You make it sound like it is a requirement or something even though like no gambling site ever has ever brought that up or offered such a service to its patrons.
Shut up about provably fair for gods sakes
it will reveal itself through analytics if you really care so much.

Actually they are running a legit site.
They did not create the software.
Poker can be a bitch.
Additionally, you know they arent playing as "the house" right?
You do understand what poker is right?
You understand we play eachother and they just take a rake regardless of who wins or loses... right?
If I were you Id bitch about a slot machine website.

So I have shopped for islands before.
There are some big ones available.
If we get one (an island) next to a fairly underdeveloped nation, and arm ourselves to the teeth, and offer some type of positive outcome for them like production of some kind or we could even beef up there technology sector and offer serious upgrades and expetise. Then they probably would rather allow us to operate then invade us.
But we have to make ourselves beneficial or we are going to war (or just failing all together).

Re: Proposition: UK banks blocking transfers to Bitcoin exchanges is illegal and in

Haha,

Welcome to the world of bitcoin.
In 2011 When i was running a decent sized exchange, I had all my accounts shut without reason. I recieved a phone call from the vice president of a fairly massive bank and was told that they dont approve of my business type.
When I asked if I could have a report outlining what I did wrong or why my accounts were closed, he literally scoffed and said no. These were business accounts registered to a LLC (a financially registered llc none the less). They dont give a shit and will protect their monopoly at all costs. You have no idea what your in for. You are scratching the surface of the largest iceberg around. Bankers have literally forced countries into war and poverty, they are strategists with insane amounts of resources and connections, and they will find a way to obliterate most any conventional method you use to grow a business that conflicts with theirs.

Taking Bids on coding project (Closed - Hired)

Hello
I need someone to
-set up and secure a windows 2008 server.
-Install 2 programs  (1 of which is bitcoin)
-open ports and setup program so it can communicate. (lots of documentation available, easy)
-Create website using php script and a few post and get commands that communicate with the programs.

No real creative functioning required, the two programs do everything you just post and get for whatever info you need to send or get.
Both programs have the same type functions,

On the site a user creates an account, well you just make the account in all locations in one fail swoop by telling the programs to make an account using the respective command. Im sure most of you know how it works with bitcoin.

It will need to be somebody trustworthy and with enough time to actually do this project aggressively,

All bids welcome, but I would prefer people who dont have much to hide and have portfolios to show and maybe like a linked in profile.

Thanks in advance Smiley

Also there are some example sites available that will make it even easier to show you what I want.

Hired someone, thanks

I was thinking too,

Even at 50 an hour 5 bitcoins is 10 hours of coding. Anyone charging that much should be able to make a dice game in 10 HOURS.

Well from researching slovenia,

I found this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTC_City

Thought that was cool

TradeFortress, I really dont care anymore, continue to pay too much for service and Ill continue to hunt for a "hungry" ambitious coder.
