upvotes team, do you have an option to set the pace or interval in between upvotes? I would like to make sure that upvotes that come in don't look manipulated.

Re: is crypto industry dangerous ?

Investing in scams is dangerous but investing in good projects is definitely worth it. I know it's very obvious but it's difficult to select and separate both nowadays.

Is there an easy way to tell the difference? The good news is, Menlo One, a decentralized ICO listing platform is launching within the year. This means lesser scams and bribes like what's going on with certain ICO rating sites.

Re: Should I buy the current ICO?

If you are asking others whether you should spend your money on something you barely know anything about, then I would suggest staying on the sidelines for now while you do your own research.. Never entrust your hard earned money with the opinion of random people.

It's a good thing that Menlo One will be launching its decentralized ICO listing platform soon within the year. Even newbies will be able to invest without worrying too much about being scammed or whether he picked the right project or not.  Link to their whitepaper: https://www.menlo.one/

All the research should be done before investment. Find some information on some big ico listing or rating platforms such as ICODROPS, ICOrating and so on. And everyone should have his own idea about the project.

There's a new upcoming review platform called menlo.one might as well include them on searching for new ICO projects out there. The good thing about their platform is they are trying to change how the way we look ico review sites, where I think would agree that its corrupted right now.

I look at icorating.com for guidance...had no idea that they could be corrupted! =( With all do respect, how is it that Menlo one cannot be corrupted and other review sites who have been here for years can?

I use ICObench right now, but will be moving to menlo.one as soon as its token launches this July. A single platform that allows us to view ICOs, join or make discussions, check community reviews, and manage our portfolio sounds to convenient. I'm not sure about the team behind it since I'm not good at checking backgrounds, but their CEO seemed sincere and totally knowledgeable about the project.

I've already suggested that they support more coins such as Doge and Waves. Not even sure why we need to make suggestions when they can automatically add these coins at their own discretion. Giving them the benefit of the doubt since it's only been 3 months + since their launch.

Totally agree. They've already got most of the major tokens integrated, I wonder what's the hold-up in adding other coins that have a significant number of supporters/users?

I agree that Bitcoin has been viewed more as an investment vehicle than a coin used for daily transactions and it has indeed failed in that department..

The merit system was introduced to try to reduce spam. It has been a great help, but it has introduced a whole new begging structure, with people vying with each other to find the best way to beg without appearing to do so.

This new merit system has its downsides since it's another 'feature' that can be abused... It makes it rather difficult to rank-up even for those who don't submit shit posts.

Re: Bitcoin is forbidden for Muslims
by

on 06/04/2018, 19:11:56 UTC
I have discussed this with my Muslim friends, so far they think Bitcoin can only be traded in trading like forex.

I explain little that Bitcoin not only can be tied but can be with mining, he asked "what is mining", mining it is to mine Bitcoin and its job of transaction validation or break the block with Bitcoin pay.

then he replied, "ohhh ... all this time I think Bitcoin can only be in trading only". end  Cheesy

what does this have anything to do with the topic? trading isn't even gambling.

Re: why all these crypto ads bans
by

So it seems to me that big social platforms are banning these crypto ads for our protection instead of some black propaganda against cryptos. One more thing, I some form of regulation won't really hurt since it's also for our own good given the current structure of our economy and livelihood.

Today is a very sad and bad time for holders of coins and tokens, but today is a very good time for those who decided to try themselves in the crypto currency, I think that many will make the right choice and invest their money in the crypt.

We won't really know when the dip ends until we see a confirmed bounce up. It's quite risky to buy any coin that is still going down.

Re: When is the best time to invest in BTC?
by

Had Bitcoin been less volatile, the answer would have been anytime. However, you need to time your entry with Bitcoin in order not to suffer losses in the short term and maximize your position. For example, I would buy Bitcoin only when it breaches above $10,000.

I don't see anything bad with spending real money to have fun in gambling. Just make sure that money spent is really just your extra and not needed to pay for expenses.

I first learned about Bitcoin from a friend and actually opened a wallet without knowing what it was for. A few months passed and I got interested in buying some Bitcoin and from there, I snowballed into really investing every month.

We don't know for sure since alt coins usually act in contrast with Bitcoin.. since Bitcoin has stabilized now, once it starts rising, altcoins could fall.

Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?

It totally matters since price corresponds directly to Bitcoin's demand and the higher the price, the more it is in-demand.

Re: Why bitcoin so expensive?
by

on 19/01/2018, 17:26:43 UTC
I admit that Bitcoin is expensive, but if we take a look at the reason behind it, we would understand that it's because of sheer demand and less supply. Therefore Bitcoin is very much sought after and makes it a good investment or asset to hold.

For a long-term perspective, I think it's worth buying only bitcoin and etherium, more I think there's nothing to do at all, because in the long run these coins can give serious capital to the holders of these coins.

There was a post by someone here saying that he earned at least 50x from small cap coins.. Do you think it's a good choice for newbies like me?

I donot understand what are going to on bitcoin?Bitcoin dumping  and dumping Shocked Shocked. Now bitcoin under 3600$ i think in this week its going to under 3000$.China can destroy bitcoin or ended this month. What your predict ?

It's fun to look back on messages like this one when Bitcoin is about $14,000.  The only thing that can destroy Bitcoin is lack of faith in the code. Bitcoin is solid.

It's just all about the price action for this fellow. Just because price falls by a certain amount doesn't mean any coin/stock will die.
