Last August at the time of Iconomi ICO, the idea of launching a fund management platform seemed very unique & revolutionary.
However, this field seems to be getting crowded by the day, and the delays that plagued this project are starting to hurt it.

There was a heated discussion earlier on Slack with Jani regarding similar projects that are building decentralized versions of Iconomi like MelonPort, TaaS, NeuFund...
I guess lot of people started cashing out to join those other ICOs...

There are 10 days to big news.As mentioned few posts before sone big announcement is expected on 9th Feb by ICONOMI team in Florida till then you can buy more if you dont want to miss out on a ride to moon 
Nobody is expecting anything. Iconomi is not announcing launch date. Stop getting everyone's hopes up by spreading false information.
I agree. Why is everybody getting so excited over this date? The team haven't announced anything yet, so just sit down and wait for updates.
I was starting to think the crybaby lunch allowance traders were gone after the last dump/platform delay. I guess they're back now or maybe it's a different bunch of kids who think they will make 10x profit in 1 week. Why not just sell your ICN and go buy python or pascal whatever the latest pump and dump shit coin is? Why cry about it here? If you really think devs are spending ICO funds on holidays and not working on platform then why not sell your 3x profit and fuck off? What's that? You don't wana sell? You actually like Iconomi? your scared if you sell now the platform will release and you will miss out? so the only thing you can do now is cry about it here? Ohhhh now I get it! actually makes a lot of sense

If I place a purchase order in the amount of 100 BTC, can I manipulate the price? How many BTC do I need to have to make the price shoot? The term "whale" is assigned to the people who own how much of BTC?
Over 2000BTC will grant you "whale" label. I have observed enough pumps on Mintpal, Cryptsy, Bittrex and Poloniex for nearly 5 years. 100BTC is a good investment in ICO, but nothing more. 500BTC is your magic number if you want to move a price of a new and promising coin with good volume like ICN. Keep in mind that move, doesn`t mean pump. With 500BTC you can move price on Kraken. If ICN is on Poloniex, you will need bots which costs 300-700 euro and at least 3000BTC. Keep in mind that top 10 coins are always into the spotlights and many people doesn`t place sell orders, but are keeping their coins on the exchanges and waiting for good price. You will also need 5-15 real people to create enough hype in forums, Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can not do it alone. So, are you ready to become whale?
Whale is a relative/subjective term. If you had 3000 BTC and asked Warren Buffet if he considers you a whale he would laugh like this:

when you watch dash,monero,ethereum go up 5-10$ USD. why can't ICN do the same? we need it to get on polo though otherwise no one will even know this exists.

Atleast it's not a pump 'n dump like the other 100 coins on poloniex.
Oh and Kraken only lists tokens/coins when they're certain it's gonna mean something to the crypto space.
Today ICN will break into top 5 on Market Cap for good.
Let's take it easy. We can easily reach the top 10, we've done it before.
Once it holds its 10th position there will be more potentional investors lining up to buy ICN.
