Good thoughts,
I was preparing packages for datacoin installer
however trademark seems is a property of a casino

I'm happy you liked it and it would be great to have someone else join me in bringing datacoin back, I'll send you a pm. And it's nice to see you're still working on the datacoin installer. But what trademark is property of a casino? Are you referring to datacoin or the datacoin installer? Kind of confused.

Re: [ANN] Datacoin - Censorship-Free Data Storage

I accidentally posted my comment in the old datacoin announcement thread, so I'll post it here as well and also add a bit to what I said.

We need to bring back datacoin. Datacoin predates filecoin, storj and all other data storage crypto currencies. The reason datacoin didn't get big before is because it didn't have enough of a marketing push behind it and we didn't show the world datacoin was the very 1st data storage blockchain. We need to renew our efforts and this time make the world understand that Datacoin was first. I appreciate other data storage blockchains and I don't want this to make it look like I'm putting any of them down. I just want to shine some light on datacoin and show its history and value to the world.

We should get some members of the community together to plan out this effort and put it into action. I will actively push to get more support for datacoin and I will start some marketing efforts to make the public more aware of Datacoin. But I need members from the community to help with this to, if we all get together and make a big push we can succeed with this. So who wants to help?

Re: want to know btc in the future.....

Yes there will still be bitcoin miners when all 21m bitcoin are finished being mined. The idea is the main reward structure for bitcoin miners will move to transaction fees instead of bitcoin block rewards as we get closer to 21m bitcoin and the last block mined. If the price of btc rises enough and network activity on bitcoin increases miners could potentially make more in mining fees than they ever have before even after the last block reward has been mined. If you think Bitcoin will flip gold and a lot of financial and web transactions will move to Bitcoin it's definitely a possibility miners will be making huge amounts of btc just from transaction fees in blocks in the year 2140.

Re: is just buying tokens randomly without any research a good strategy?

It sounds like a strategy to lose all your money  Grin buying tokens randomly is definitely a bad idea. But I agree with you in that charts, indicators and a lot of alpha are usually bs and don't have anything based in reality backing them up. People will point to a chart and claim whatever the chart shows is guarantees that it will go up, that's nonsense. At the end of the day nothing is better than doing your own due diligence, educate yourself so you can make the right decision instead of trusting these influencers trying to scam you.

Re: XRP is Growing in Popularity on Wall Street

I feel like non crypto people are the ones most drawn to xrp, the holders of that coin are definitely a certain demographic. Most other top cryptos have a very decentralized ethos about them but xrp never really fit that mold. As the crypto space has become more centralized lately I feel like xrp was probably the precursor to that happen. It's basically the first non crypto cryptocurrency.

Re: Is Bitcoin just for the rich?
by

Bitcoin is for everyone, it's the most decentralized currency to ever exist. These big companies and rich people you see buying Bitcoin now weren't early to Bitcoin, they just started buying Bitcoin once it went mainstream. In the early days Bitcoin had a much more cryptopunk feel so hopefully we can recapture that feeling. I feel like these huge companies buying up large swaths of Bitcoin don't have the best intentions, they want to take it from a decentralized miracle to a centralized abomination. We should all work to keep bitcoin decentralized.

Re: Biggest Bitcoin holder

Currently, person with highest amount of bitcoin in the world is Satoshi Nakamoto and he is the 12th richest man in the world. Can his number one spot be taken by some other person anytime soon ? Who can be that person to replace Satoshi ? Elon Musk ?
why would elon musk replace the 12th richest man when he is already the richest man? and satoshi may not buy any more bitcoins but since bitcoin's value keeps increasing satoshi will get richer and richer so this highlights the importance of holding

He wasn't talking about replacing Musk replacing Satoshi in terms of Net Worth but in terms of Bitcoin held. The 1m Bitcoin Satoshi holds is worth about $120 billion right now. Elon musk Net Worth is $410 billion right now so 1m BTC is less than 1/3 of his net worth. But if Musk tried to buy 1m BTC it would make the price skyrocket and then he probably couldn't buy 1m BTC even if he spent his entire $410 billion net worth on it.

But of course people buying massive amounts of btc don't buy straight from market they buy it otc and from other parties that are already big holders. So the question is could someone find enough large private holders on BTC that are willing to sell? And would the total amount of btc from those private holders willing to sell total over 1m btc? It's unlikely but not completely impossible. We've seen cases where governments have sold over 100k in single auctions and other instances where private holders have sold large amounts. If someone were to focus on all these large individual sales over a period of years I think it's actually possible they could pull it off.

Re: Will Gamefi continue to thrive in the crypto space ?

Gamfi still hasn't had its "moment" so it still has a long way to go. Gamefi has never reached a peak like defi or even NFTs so its best is still to come. Once an extremely popular game is released that uses gamefi and the game itself is actually played by regular people then that's where things will get interesting.

Re: Could this truly be a Bitcoin Donation to Ross Ulbricht
by

It's entirely possible it's a real donation. If some of you remember years ago a lot of btc was donated to Andreas when people found out he didn't actually have much btc. One individual even donated millions to Andreas. So even though people are speculating Ross sent it to himself it's possible someone in the Bitcoin space just wanted to do something nice for a Bitcoin OG and sent him a large amount.

Re: Bitcoin presidents
by

Used to be unthinkable that there would be "bitcoin presidents" now it's a reality. Heads of state of some of the most well known countries are championing Bitcoin. Once more countries start adopting Bitcoin as legal tender that's when we'll see the real change and then in time Bitcoin will become reserve currency of the world and replace the US dollar. We're getting closer and closer to that dream.
