my wallet is staking 24/7, I don't send many tx's though... I'll set up another wallet and do it once and a while. I've been using cryptopia a lot more lately, TECH is one of the only coins I hold that it doesn't carry. What are the odds of getting added there?

Cheers to everyone.

Re: [ANN] [2GIVE] / POS+POW / Our Network is now Self-Sustaining
by
WolfLee84
on 01/09/2016, 21:50:44 UTC

The 2GIVE "air drop" is totally different than any other one to date!

Our "seed nodes" (the nodes that the wallet is configured to find when it first starts up) -- are "bouncing" 100K blocks of coins around themselves every 20 minutes, which "drops" 1K coins (1% TXFEE) onto the network.  The first wallet to mine the block wins the round.  We have been moving the times around so that future staking will hopefully happen at regular intervals throughout any hour of the day to create an average blocktime close to at least 5 minutes.

In the wallet you turn on "Compete for block rewards (POW)" or from the commandline you enable

setgenerate true

Your wallet will then have a chance to collect the drop, or as WolfLee84 pointed out ANYTIME someone SENDS coins on our network, SOMEONE will earn the 1% TXFEE.

After that, you earn coins by staking them (POS) -- every 30 days your wallet has the right to claim 5% per annum interest for helping secure the network.

I really should get an infographic made up and update the main thread here :-)

-dvd

Actually would be the first client tested to secure the network with giving the 1% network fee to anyone online (others have tried similar test, not many have Given to the community), have watched a few tests of launches where the distribution was over the network & then they open sourced the github (over a year ago, Miraclecoin I think it was & a random node distribution or airdrop as they say). That's just the most recent one to remember, but have seen many launches of these chains & do understand which ones will last if secured right. When you can see a machine or mechanism, power it on & test it's usability. That would be just what one has seen over the many years of testing hardware & software, great to have the big powerful machines. Just not great to have to replace or repair said structures, the world would always take old concepts & replace them with smaller designs (big & loud = fun, but when you can git the same = out of nano sized)   Wink

//not the best @ info graphic or videos (have tried) type work (find someone to volunteer), but am {git} great @ reading / editing BBcode for the ANN / OP (coder keys?)  Cool

You can now see that POS generation now accounts for over 60% of the block activity:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/2give/#!extraction

The SNF "air drop" will continue for a while longer.  Ideally I'd like to see us cross the 80% mark before ending it.

In mean time, we continue to monitor the liquidity at Bittrex and have continued to opportunistically acquire 2GIVE and move it to our primary donation address for staking.

Strength in Numbers Foundation will continue to use its holdings for donations as well as strategic acquisitions of other coinbases.

The next release of the wallet is nearing completion!  This version will bring a new SQL*Lite database engine to the wallet as well as expanded Paper Wallet (Gift*Card) support as well as new fields in the Contact page for email and web address)

The BIG addition will be the in-wallet directory of approved charitable causes, voted on by YOU our stakeholders!

It's Better 2GIVE :-)

-dvd

So the airdrop is still available ? Thata good Smiley How does an airdrop work though ? I have never done one. What do I need to do to get one ? Thanks.

Just have the application open on your desktop, the network will send out 2Give to random nodes online & each user sending will airdrop to anyone else on the network (might be calculated to node online longest or random?). Actually something quite new to past testings, but could be kind of like the master node name used in others coins?

Re: [ANN][STO]🔷SaveTheOcean 🔷PoW/PoS🔷 Free Distribution 🔷 Bounties 🔷 RoadMap 🔷
by

So good morning everybody. Lets start it for today

no bounty twitter or facebook?

There will be a Twitter campaign soon, but handling the free distribution, bounties and maintaining STO and bitcointalk topic its pretty hard at the same time.
Probably in the next week we will launch a Twitter and a Bitcointalk signature campaign.

Wallet is Clean and Syncing ..Nice official logo

Thanks
The wallet really appear clean but someone should try and do the virus total scan and upload the result for all of us to see.

To prevent missunderstandings we put in the OP the virustotal scan. I know about the 3 detections, I tried to fix them, but we haven't got any solution.
If anybody have some ideas, please share with me. Also if you fear these detects please use the wallet sandboxed.

Wow .. the distribution of free coins for all the members except newbie very regrettable to see it ..
Can not accept for distribution of these coins .. so sad !!! Cry
Unfortunatelly no Newbies are accepted at free distribution because, that would raise the number of sock-puppets.Even without Newbies is pretty hard to filter the requests since from the launch we got 140 requests. All the users must be checked one-by-one so, it will be sure that there will be no huge bagholders with 10 accounts. The distribution will be open for a few weeks so just wait until you hit the Jr.Member rank.

There have been 1000's of launches over the years, someone just posted in the Tenebrix thread & brought back some memories of all the readings over the years. Give it time, there will be many distributions over the duration of being on the forum & not always git to keep up with busy population of code world. Have to say that the faucets of the past & current are quite better, but so would the first users of alts GUI (just tested another simple wallet like the first of bitcoin, so glad we are past those days & have something people can actually use in realtime).

//wallet has to be clean, suprnova has a pool up & has testing 4 times the sources than most have Wink
I got a lot of PM regarding Translation bounties. Here are few things to remember

1, I cannot reserve a translation for anybody because I don't want to make anybody feel offended. The fastest one will get the bounty
2, Once you made the transaltion send a PM with the link and with your address
3,Translating the OP its not enough. Please maintain the topic for at least 1 week with OP updates, and with important posts from here.

Translations done so far :

Thanks for your work, Testing Crypto! Is that means the actual total of FIREcoins is about 30k coins and the rest is most likely lost? Then the rare FIREcoin is even more rare and its price must be much more.

Yes, they could be cold storage & or lost on exchanges. 30k would be the online Firecoins helping the network & the open market would be part of the calculation threw CryptoID explorer. Current market value seems right (more volume would be ok though & help community development), unless Firecoin keeps development going (frequent updates) & not just let an app sit. There will always be better code, years of hearing the saying "if it is not broken" & that defeats the purpose of improvement of everything (blueprint of the world). Everything improves in time with new additions, but still the same prototype if you will type design & not some broken saying of how not to keep improving the world of creation through ideas of improvement  Wink

//have tested many alternatives to BTC, many have good & bad or pro & con type calculations to them (specifications if you will)
~they all how ever can be built into something great if coded for the right thing, many lack purpose still & being only a hardware guy make it tough to keep IT going (code can always improve).

I'm using claymore miner but it kept disconnecting and not able to mine etc.. Anyone can help?

What is the error?  Did you try the suggested cmdline from

https://etc.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=gettingstarted

Or from the Frontpage?

Its still like this.. Can't mine at all.. connect, job timeout, dc and it repeats..

Weird,  my miners are currently running fine for etc and dcr..  I have posted the cmdline in the header of the pool

One of the best pools out there, Suprnova has testing many of coins & never failed thy yet {@ first glance} Wink

I, Griffith, do not own this coin. It is NOT my launch, it is NOT my announcement, and the businesses registered are NOT owned or run by me. I am a salaried employee of Global Financial Services Group (GFSG) in the blockchain RND department. I have been chosen to make the announcement thread on this forum due to my account here being older and having reputation. I am NOT the CEO.

Are you therefore just the fallguy if things go wrong and if they should split with money? You are basically admitting that they are newbies and they are just paying you to use your reputation to make things look more legit. Why would it be more legit if you post it vs if they post it on a newbie account since it is not your coin? It would be more legit if the real person post it.

When do CEO's ever write documentations, none that I've ever heard of & seems that's why griffith created the ANN w/ A OP D? You wouldn't want a CEO to even try to write up a post on BitCoinTalk, unless it's one of those skills of all trades (writing major) & the lawyer is also the CEO Wink

Who am i?
Brett Hitchcock, coder turned bitcoin enthusiast turned entrepreneur. I have a strive for excellence & success, Im an original bitcoin supporter and investor (account from 2010) one of the first few hundred on this forum. Over the years i have come to realize we are slowly loosing our simple way of helping each other out, assisting, after all i believe that is why we are on this planet, to help each other, no matter black, white, young, old, we are all human beings. Compassion needs to be regained. If PokemonGO can send millions of users out in public all for the sake of a simple game, i believe the Oracle Dapp can strive to push us as simple humans into the public to help others in need, gain media attention, and claim success.

Lets get involved, and together bring out faith in humanity.

account from 2010, surely you have many years of experience in these applications & do agree with the users of applications are unlike any other time in history

People that have sold are ones that bought early around 300-500 sats... that's 10x profit.. now most of those are out, this will easily go up double from here and if you held, you will make 20x or more on it's way to 10k sats.

expect fudster to show up on this thread, they will try to bring price down to buy back cheaper.  Grin

So here is a screenshot of our latest UI for XDE2. All graphics drawn by hand from scratch, and all UI/GUI work completely custom! It took 4 weeks , and if you wanted this for your wallet , would cost 1btc.

Vegas

That's quite the GUI update to the original XDE, when it only had what 20 coins & the coin was swapped within a month of launch. Mined it & then turned around to see it was swapped a few times, but no worries... I've tested 1000's, not able to keep up with the uncertain swaps & still remember all the hype about being a rare Eagles coin Smiley

P.S. Do like the GUI updates, but really tough to follow all the new alternatives out & not miss out on swaps. Will keep in mind for there are many basics still out there with well valued markets in need of GUI updates to make it more basic user functional. Even some of the newest alternatives start with 5 year old General User Interfaces Smiley
