After all the troubleshooting, rewriting raspberry pi os to the micro sd card, and redoing all the install steps in the original post, I now have this output log

Literally saying that the devices are not connected, but they are as seen here

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

If you mean which version of RPi OS I was using, I was using the latest lite version

I'm pretty sure all of us here are using  the standard Raspbian OS.  Why not just give that  a try?

Edit: Or was the Lite version  working for you initially?

I just read your original message.  You may have a bad or corrupted SD Card.  Have you tried reformatting it and reloading?  Or may try a different SD Card.

SD card is nor corrupted at all. Also checked the other 4 SD cards that came in the package and they're all fine. The Lite version works great, it's just that the cgminer directory disappears when I restart PuTTY on my laptop (using for SSH into the Pi). No idea how to even find or open a directory in Linux, as I main Windows 7 and newer.

At this point, I wouldn't mind working with the creator of this version of cgminer to make a Linux based OS that has cgminer preinstalled and just needs you to put in the mining pool, username, password, and frequency for the miners to run at.

Also, if it helps at all, I'm using 2 NewPac USB stick miners, a small USB fan, and a Sabrent 14 port powered USB 2.0 hub.

I was referring to the OS and for the cgminer - because both, if downloaded and installed correctly work flawlessly on a rpi 4

For the OS, I'm using the Raspberry Pi Imager tool for Windows to write and check the OS to a 32GB micro SD card. All I do when it's finished is create the files for SSH and wifi network access.
For the cgminer, I have no idea how to properly install it on the Pi's SD card, as the directory for it gets removed when I try to start the miner or it gets removed when I reboot PuTTY on my laptop for SSH.

Hello all,

I'm currently trying to make the BAT file to start mining output to a console window. Using Windows 10 as my OS. Was told by a friend to use ECHO to show the console. Please let me know what I can use as the rest of the code, as it's very very confusing.

Update on using RPi4 as the mining rig: Not working; Rasbian (RPi OS) keeps removing the cgminer directory and Ubuntu just crashes itself.

what version did you download?

I am running 4 miners on one rpi with zero issues.

If you mean which version of RPi OS I was using, I was using the latest lite version. I also tried Ubuntu server 20.04 LTS x32 with no luck (Ubuntu just crashed itself).
If you mean which version of cgminer I was using, I just followed the instructions in the original post, no idea what version. Only having issues with the cgminer directory and usb detection.

There should be a test .bat file in there you can use as a base and then change your address and pool etc.

YOU ARE A LEGEND! Thanks so much! I just copied the code, made a new batch file, edited the code a bit and it works flawlessly!

Hi,

Are you in the cgminer directory when you run "./cgminer....... "

The "./" assumes you are physically in the cgminer directory.

HTH!

For some reason, the directory seems to get deleted all the time. Going to try installing Ubuntu instead of Raspberry Pi OS.

Even when I was in the directory, it would give me the no usb devices detected error. I will try again.

Need some help.
Running 2 of the NewPac miners on a Raspberry Pi 4 2gb ram model with a 32GB micro sd boot card. The Pi did a reboot and now I can't run the command to start mining, which would be
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u XXXXXXXXX -p x --gekko-newpac-freq 200
(replaced my username with X's for privacy), it spots out
Code:
-bash: ./cgminer: No such file or directory
! What do I do and how do I fix it?
Before the Pi rebooted, the miner said that there was no USB devices attached.
I am more than willing to reinstall rasbian and the cgminer if needed. Please let me know!

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u useraccount.workername -p x --api-listen --api-allow W:0/0 --gekko-r606-freq 800

is what i had for when I did use slush - its been quite a while though but i don't think it has changed. i only took out account and worker name.

Code isn't working. And I'm using 2 Gekko NewPac miners. Even after changing "--gekko-r606-freq" to "--gekko-newpac-freq". Need a bit more help. I'm running Windows 10 Home 64 bit build 2004.

Hello, I just got 2 of these miners last week and I need help making a proper BAT start file to run CGMiner with an output console window. I'm using SlushPool. I want to enable the ASICBoost and 200MHz frequency. If someone has the proper code for the BAT file for Windows 10, please let me know!
