Please increase the hot wallet as I'm currently unable to withdraw. Very unprofessional, seeing as this is my first time using the site.

Localbitcoins.com

Do all transfers on Localbitcoins go through Escrow. Could you tell me abit about the process from the moment I select a person I would like to trade from. i.e how I transfer the funds.

Thank you.

No, it's more like, you meet someone in person (face to face), hand them cash and they send coins.

Why does it say Bank transfer on there though as a method of payment? I think face to face is only one of many options.

I'm going waaaay out on a limb and will say probably 97 - 99% men.  Where's the 'who cares?' option in the poll.
Don't mean to be an ass, but seriously...

The ongoing survey of Bitcoin users (here) has some intriguing results already: The
'average Bitcoin user' is male (96%), 32.7 years old, libertarian /
anarcho-capitalist (37%), non-religious (61%), with a full time job
(43%), and is in a relationship (56%). The biggest motivation
for new users are curiosity, profit, and politics; and 39% of users do
not drink, smoke, gamble, or take drugs. Just over half of users have
mined bitcoins and the greatest community fear for Bitcoin is
“regulatory/legal intervention” followed by ”reputation problems”.
Overall more people seem to find Bitcoin intellectually rewarding (70% have learned more about cryptography) than socially rewarding (22% have made friends)....

I see around about a 30 degrees increase from around 65 degrees Celsius to near 100.  Shocked

Is this normal? I'm mining LTC using my GPU only using reaper and the LTC client.

Litecoin client working?
by
Wompaone
on 10/04/2013, 20:41:44 UTC
I'm using the Litecoin client to mine but when I try solo using the server 127.0.0.1 username:username and password:password a message appears stating i'm mining solo but nothing appears to be happening. When I switch to pool and use these settings I get a message confirming I'm hashing at a rate of 44 khash/sec. Is this right? If I solve a block will it automatically credit to wallet and how can I be mining in a pool using the same details as mining solo?

I can't figure this out and all hell is greatly appreciated.

Question about mining LTC
by
Wompaone
on 10/04/2013, 17:06:14 UTC
Hey folks,

I've some questions I was hoping somebody could answer. After following this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0 I have been able to successfully setup Scryptminer to mine LTCs solo, however I don't recall entering my address anywhere so what if I solve a block. Where will it go?

Also, when using the Litecoin client to mine solo it doesn't confirm my hashrate anywhere. It just confirms it's mining solo. Is it maybe not function properly or is there anywhere I can see this?

Re: [TUTORIAL] Solo Mining Litecoins Guide--Windows!

I thought this was for solo mining. Any way I joined ozcoin which seems to be working ok for now.

But could somebody please answer me this as it's been pickling my brain all day. If I enter the information below into my litecoin.conf file and run the same details in the Litecoin client and Reaper. What will happen? I can see them both hashing away like a goodun but am I then mining solo as I don't appear to be connected to any pool servers? If so how do the LTC get credited to my wallet?

server 127.0.0.1
username:username
password:password.

Many thanks.

I'm getting the message below when I try to begin mining in ScryptMiner:

[2013-04-10 14:03:55] HTTP request failed: Recv failure: Connection was aborted

[2013-04-10 14:03:55] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

Any ideas?

Use GUIminer as stated above. It's user friendly and will have you mining in minutes. Why just the other day it calculated that I would make 0.00000364 in just 1 whole month!!  Cool
