This is precisely the kind of wide-brush nonsense you find over and over again on that site.  And dare to challenge such pearls and you are labeled an instant FUD monger - or worse.  A strong community is one that can tolerate (and even celebrate) opposing viewpoints.  XRP Chat is a hopeless echo-chamber.

Indeed - I recently created a persona over there and posted a mildly controversial statement that I felt the bubble was over.  I was descended on by a swarm of angry hornets, the worst of which were these 'Gold' members who are so incredibly obtuse and fanatical it is beyond belief. They have appointed themselves PC police and delight in personal insults.  Does no good to alert the mods.  They have a real online cult going on there and it is hugely destructive.  I am long XRP but that community makes me think twice.  There is an approved canon and if you step outside of it, you are banned.  I wonder if Ripple knows what is going on there.  Can't imagine they would approve of this kind of suppression of free speech.

Also- they allow an adolescent-themed 'Club' called the 'Zerpening' that features videos. etc. hugely insulting to women. A real bros club. Disgusting.
