The higher the price the more I panic and sell to make profits. The lower the price the more relaxed and confident I feel given the price is going lower week by week and not second by second. This is why the masses always lose money because they feel good when price is high and buy and panic and freak out when it is low and sell.

That's funny when the price was going up over $200 I was a major bear (and cashed out) and then as it dropped down under $100 the bulls came charging out. I think it is just the reality of seeing the price slowly fall over a long period of time that makes the sheep come home to pasteur. I don't think the specific price on a given day causes it. I am happy though the fall in price has been gradual and slow meaning there is still support out there. I was worried the huge crash would run off all the bulls and we'd see things really drop. I'm still buying and using coin now that the price is stable but not in large amounts as it continues to slowly slide down.
Also I only do local transactions now as I no longer trust any exchanges or believe in the need to pay useless fees. I guess someone has to use them so we can quickly determine the value but, they must be people of real faith unlike me.

Bitcoins like beanie baby and tulips are no longer collectible. How idiots ever thought something virtual was collectible is beyond me. Should of stuck to WOW, Second Life, and Diablo 3.

It's true, after the crash the value of those commodities dropped dramatically, but what about after the crash? Today tulips are a multi-million dollar industry, along with beanie babies...
Same with the dot com bubble, companies such as Qualcomm are multi-billion dollar industry leaders after crashing from high 80s to under 20. QC today is trading @ $63, with many indicators that it still has room to move up.
Just take a step back along with a deep breath and look at the big picture.
Yeah tulips in beanie babies are a million dollar industry today sold in volume not based on $10,000 an item. The tulip crash was 100s of years ago and Beanie babies 20 years. FACTS:
- They demonstrate a machine in Februrary. The price there after starts going up like crazy all the way to $266, crashes to $55, bounces back to $170.
- Every time I ask about fundamentals permabulls go but but but BitcoinATM is REAL! and I say no it still hasn't passed gov regulation and there hasn't been one installed I can get on my jet and use anywhere on earth yet.
- New guy involved in Bitcoin ATM set to demonstrate yesterday is out of the project on the same day. Price of bitcoin is now under $100 and falling.

Thanks! That's the same thought I feel when I read his posts.VC's are POURING money into Bitcoin businesses right now. Sorry, I just don't see anything but an upside in the medium to long term. The bears might win the week or even this month, but a few months from now, the price is going to continue exploding upwards. JMO.
Can your provide some articles on the VC's and the specific "Bitcoin businesses"? I have not seen these fundamentals. This could be great news, please share. I have a lot of contacts with big VC's and Angel investors, they will willingly listen to any such proposals.

One last thing, I did not start this thread to brag, pat myself on the back, or say I told you so. I did it because I watched the bears getting attacked by bulls and it was very uncivil. I think they deserve credit to standing up to the harsh treatment and remaining around. Those making the former accusations are just butthurt they didn't make money I guess.

yeah but I'm up over 1600% and prepared to hold another 3-5 years no problem. I've been investing since 1994. Did you know most conservative investors consider 10%-12% return in a year very very good.

Well my theory is that virtual currency is here to stay and the value is at $30. I'm buying in very small chunks for now until we get close to $30. I just like to own coin, it feels good, even if it isn't a huge amount. Since Bitcoin is a virtual currency and not 100% speculation (no need to worry about it not having a P/E). It will continue to get used and adoption will slowly rise. I'm just not as exuberant as some of these folks. No I was a long term investor at $40. I became a bear after March 17th when Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Argentina etc. starting dumping money in and the price started to skyrocket. After about $150 is when I really started itching to sell. I dumped 20% at $103 just in case it was a short term bubble. I sold the Tue night before the Wed crash based on the highest ever volatility and price moving sideways. That three day run up Mon-Wed was just too much for me. I was convinced it was over.
I wanted to make it two months ago because like other bears I asked for fundamentals and rather than get any I got attacked and speculation. I saw bears getting attacked for months and did say that they were doing the right thing speaking their beliefs.

There are long term bears and long term bulls. Short term bears and short terms bulls I do not see it in black in white as most here seem to. People like to try and pin down things, it is human nature. The more the price goes up the bearish I become. The less real fundamentals I see the more bearish I am. I can be somewhat bullish at $50 with no fundamentals when I see irrational exuberance pushing up price. Even though I know it is over valued I realize the heard does not yet and therefore there is more money on the table for me so I stay bullish till I see massive volatility.

I said when the bubble burst I think the price will stabilize at $30-$50. The trend on 6 months shows a value of $30. My guess is with new interest a low of $50 and a possible push back up. I'll continue to buy back in as low as it goes. I have bought at $120, $110, $100, $95. I'll buy more if we hit $80, $70, $60, $50 and probably a massive buyin at below $40. Then I'll hold as long as I can before I feel irrational exuberance has clouded judgement again.
I don't like to ignore people because sometimes they can get wise. Bitcon is the first on my ignore list. His post are always name calling hate filled waste of time. If I'm on his ignore hopefully he'll stay out of my threads so we can have logical discussion and not playground banter.
Everytime someone mentioned it was being released I called bullshit and said he hasn't dealth with regulation, currency exchange etc. etc. I emailed him personally and he refused to answer any questions. He did no investigation. I just don't buy that he was so stupid he never stopped to think it might not be so simple to implement this device. Many articles are on the net raising concerns, he failed to answer. Many of us asked questions, he failed to answer. He was going to show the working model today and now says he got scammed. A few months ago he posted a picture with himself beside the working machine.

Many of you who weren't trolls or spreading fear tried to bring reason and logic to the table. You took heavy assault from the mob with their persuasive arguments such as "You are an idiot, moron, retard, etc.". I know many here tried to calm the irrational exuberance and bring logic and reason to look for fundamentals. You are true heros to take such abuse to stand up for what you believe. The greatest men of all time who affected changed are those who went against the grain. Anyone can be a sheep and join the flock. I've been waiting a couple months to make this post and just thank you all for standing up for what you believe in. Real change in this world does not come from being a follower. No I never sold a coin until (20% at $103 and 80% at $230) I had been buying for several years up until they got to $14. Do I need to go drag up the thread the Tuesday night when I sold. I posted 30 minutes before the $266 high that I sold my last 80% where I pointed out the volatility and crash?
Every time the price goes up there's a 'how does it feel to sell at $80 when the price is $120' thread popping up. Every time it goes down there's the same thread, but written with the numbers reversed and gloating on the other side. It's rather boring.
The last one I responded to the price was like $160 and I replied it felt wonderful to sell at $103 for 1000% profit. It felt even better to sell that last 80% I had at $230.
