Dev is honest, but i wont buy until they find solution...
Your are obviously entitled to follow your own strategy, but if you wait to buy until the solution is proven, you will be paying much, much more for your CLOAK. It's a gamble - back your instinct that the dev is honest (it's half the battle in altcoins) and by cheap now, or wait until their proposed solution is audited - if it passes you will have missed massive growth (but probably still more longterm growth to follow), if it fails, how much further below this point will it fall if devs have another go at solving it?

Update:
TL;DR:
The audit that was promised on PoSA v1 was performed. It failed for not being immune to malicious nodes. We proposed a solution called Block Escrow, it failed the same audit for not being properly anonymous. We have a promising solution right now which has not yet failed the audit despite scrutiny, but after being burned from past mistakes we wont be releasing technical diagrams of it until we have some consensus from auditors and developers one week timeframe until release of such diagrams if we pass the audit on our new protocol.
Look for the audit results on our new protocol as well as a full technical description in the coming days. Expect continued news good or bad from the developers. We think Cloakcoin has a very exciting future of trustless anonymity among many other features.

I have a lot of respect for Dagger releasing this information in complete honesty, and it's worth supporting. Fingers crossed that the new solution passes audit.
I can understand why people fell for SYS because the marketing was a notch above most alt coins.
Buggy qt wallet with extant references to Litecoin makes it look like this anon team was all mouth and no trousers.
I'm thinking seriously about getting out of this market altogether until a new coin piques my interest and is prepared to disclose who the devs are IRL, demonstrating experience that suggests that they might be capable of delivering all the lofty promises.
Riding the P&Ds is lucrative when (if
) you get it right but I wish there was something here worthy of long-term investment.

I use Wafflepool on X11 and buy Cloak manually with the results. The brief period when they were doing X13 was very profitable (peaked at >600% of LTC) but suitable candidate launches seem to have dried up and it's no longer offered. In terms of profitability, the value of coins mined is barely more than the price of electricity so, at a small scale, it's only worth doing with existing equipment on the basis of future growth rather than current value.

At least dev is honest in declaration that this is just another shitcoin. It's become so easy to clone that it ssems like the dev is just looking around the room for things to name a new coin after. "Hmmm... desk ... biro.... deodorant... adderal... adderal?... fuck it, that'll do"

1000% PoS? I'm guessing any exchanges listing this coin will have to redesign their interface pretty quickly to allow sub-satoshi dealing as 8 decimal places will be insufficient

There are plenty of people that make a living from poker. Some of them a very good living. Bot inventors that need to beg for 1-2 BTC on forums need to examine their '1337 coder skillz'

Marketing for a coin I think is very limited in value. Doge had the damn NASCAR sponsorship and it did nothing.
New money has to come from somewhere, and if not marketing, then where?
Doge got the whole community to donate for the Nascar thing, and then had to sell it all for fiat in order to actually follow through with the donation.
Their whole model is based on deliberately weakening the coin by having charitable donations which dump a whole load of coins onto the market at once. Then again, it was created as a joke, not an investment. It has benefited the whole cryptocurrency community by bringing people into the fold who wouldn't have mined or spent fiat in getting involved, but got tipped on reddit and participated in mass give-aways.

This weekend, next weekend.. Makes no difference to me. I want it to be bulletproof when released so better to take time and get it right then launch with something buggy.

Current price reflects assumption of working PoSa, I don't think we'll see a meteoric rise on successful launch (that will happen on release of positive news in respected crypto media and then eventually conventional media). The only thing that will hurt price and maybe even kill the coin is a release that doesn't work. Take as much time as you need. Keep expanding beta testing group until you are sure that scale-up will work as well as it currently does with a small number of users.
