Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?

Doing that as individuals, would require a campaign or collecting funds and then deciding WHICH TV's that we will advertise in, and that would be an issue in it's own, beside seeing an ad, some people will assume BTC is a company or another for-profit project, not an open currency.
This (running ads) should be a job for bitcoin large enterprises that benefit with increases adoption, some of those millions should be reinvested into ads.

Re: Money Moving Back into Bitcoin from Alt-Coins

I think majority of the spikes in altcoins have been due to the unrest in bitcin world, with discussion and disagreement between the parties, BUT nothing damaging bitcoin over long term happened, hence as soon as things stabilized, money will move back to BTC.
This is great for BTC and very bad for crypto's like ETH which started to try to take a portion of the market base, which is returning now to bitcoin.

Investigating - We're investigating an issue with Ethereum sends and receives on the Coinbase platform. All Ethereum transactions will be delayed in the meantime. We appreciate your patience while we work towards a resolution.

Not good, shows MAJOR OUTAGE !!!

if this is the statement Coinbase made, then I wouldn't say this is a hack or anything, it could be just a minor issue with sending and receiving and they aren't obligated to offer a %100 up-time, this topic is trying to overstate the issue IMO.
Even if there is a hack, I doubt anyone would lose money considering the large capital and cloud funding coinbase has that can probably cover their own faults.

Excluding those with the future (since these didn't happen yet and considering the current vision of altcoin development, the only one which look that promising is ETH nothing more), also bitcoin did not get forked yet, so no meaning in saying things as recording for things that might or might not happen.

I'm new here so don't really know the opinion here about this, but as far as I understand a currency and a commodity, I would say bitcoin is currently mostly used as a commodity to take benefit from it's fluctuation and as storage (similar to gold), I don't think it's considered a currency with how it is used now.
