Currently as a secondary feature we have an exchange function tool for all clients. This feature is for the convince to manage deposits and withdrawals of differing cryptos while having limited base currency options in our trading accounts.

We do plan to expand and offer a full exchange platform with fiat deposits in the future, following licensing .

Thank you for your patience. Yes there are commissions for cfd shares. USA shares are 10 cents per share . 1 lot = 100 shares. EU shares are 0.45% per lot, this is a notional charge for EU stocks similar to crypto fees. Exchange fees are approximately 2-4% depending on the crypto exchanged and market condition however we do not publish this or make a guarantee of this range because the market condition is always changing. Since we cannot have fixed rates, all fees are built into the amount received when using the conversion preview tool, at https://my.xbtfx.io/en/exchange ,  so there is no unexpected result when exchanging coins with us.

This is correct and we have noted that we see crypto is becoming the new normal for international trading platforms. The big difference between XBTFX and other typical brokers that accept bitcoin is we offer tradable balances in MT5 where you to use the crypto as collateral to trade the global markets. For example, XBTFX has MT5 in base accounts for BTC, ETH, XRP , USDT, and DAI. A traditional broker with BTC deposit will normally require you to sell you btc to USD and trade with USD. Typically a fee is charged to do this when you deposit/exchange then exchange/withdraw making it very inconvenient. XBTFX supports exchange options as well but this is not a requirement as you can deposit and trade BTC directly.

Dear XBTFX traders,

Please be informed that high volatility across the markets is leading to sharp moves in indices and currencies. As a result, spreads in the spot market have widened dramatically.

Specific to XAUUSD, trading conditions are notably worse in the past 24 hours. Kindly remain aware and vigilant of the increased risk and spread on XAUUSD trades because pricing may be erratic and intermittent in the coming days.

One of the key drivers of the XAUUSD dislocation seems to be arising from the exchange for physical ‘basis’ – aka the cost to swap Futures into OTC (spot) XAU - is essentially closed.

Many eFX LPs simply quote retail venues a spot price in XAU and then hedge into the Futures market. Essentially, LPs are taking a risk on the implied ‘basis’, skewing prices to try to attract flow that will reduce their risk. The USD funding squeeze has put significant pressure on LPs who are all generally short ‘basis’.

Refineries in Switzerland have also shut down and physical delivery of Comex Gold has been made nearly impossible because of flight restrictions, making it harder to physically deliver bullion to cover shorts.

We are not expecting pricing/liquidity to resume to more normal levels for a number of days but will do everything to work with our LPs to ensure the best possible pricing and execution for our clients.

Crypto Volatility

In light of recent crypto volatility, we advise and remind traders to remain vigilant of leverage and the impacts of using crypto as collateral to trade when crypto prices are changing dramatically. When using BTC as a base account to trade forex while the price of BTC decreases, open positions that have a floating loss in BTC will see the loss amount in BTC increase as the price of BTC falls because the loss of an open position is converting from fiat to BTC in real-time. This dynamic is important to monitor in conjunction with account margin levels at all times.

We offer Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) MT5 accounts should you wish to avoid crypto base account currency volatility. To enable USDC or USDT you must verify your account with an ID and proof of address.  Users can exchange crypto at any time to USDT or USDC for use in Metatrader 5 within the XBTFX interface.
