Hi team xbtfx! Is this broker working also as an exchanger, or only as a broker?  I have seen that there is exchange, but not sure if it is only for people with open account, or anybody can exchange coins here?

Unfortunately I am not able to see it also. But, from your post I can see the point of this video. I cannot agree neither disagree with it. The issue is that globalism and capitalism in the world are losing ground. Which system will replace them, it is about to be seen.

My personal view is that as long there is volatility on crypto market, there will be investor’s interest to invest here. Majority of people on this market are driven by its earning potential. Without it, I am not sure if there would be any interest

Bitcoin maximalists are doing more harm to the crypto space than good ?
-snip-

Remember: Bitcoin is an Open Source project, so do try to keep an Open Mind to other projects and innovations within this space.

For every bitcoin maximalist there was already a scam shitcoin or ICO. And more schemes will rise.
Blaming only the maximalists means ignoring half of the reality.

I believe those are the most important terms here:
OpenMind and Scams.

I am not a bitcoin maximalist. I have, in my portfolio, about 80% bitcoin. There was times with 50% and others with 90% (due to high volatility).

However, when ANYONE asks me for investment advice regarding cryptocurrency, I try to be a bitcoin maximalist (and a lot of people ask me, because bitcoin/crypto is still highly unkown and not well understood even by most " tech guys" )

I don't truly believe in ANY of those project as much as I believe in bitcoin. If I had to scale in confidence/security, I would give bitcoin an 8-9 and the best altcoins (imo) at most a 5 (I don't want to say which ones I believe now, but they are very few).

Some other day I saw a person which a respect a lot, an old guy who loves gold and traditional markets and has an youtube channel . He was chilling EOS and saying that is his biggest cryptocurrency holding.

I don't know if he was scammed or if he is being paid to promto that shitcoin, just like jameson loop did.

Usually, most of those altcoin projects are heavily hyped, very dangerous (they can go 1000% up and 99,5% down within a few weeks).

There are some good projects? Well, there are. And they certainly should be incentived. But there are far too many scams.
I agree with Bitmover. Nobody understand this market well as it is still new and there are more unknowns than known facts. In my opinion, BTC is oldest crypto with highest market capitalization and liquidity. This is why my choice is to invest only in BTC.

Re: What area of bitcoin participation is easiest to work with?

I have seen bounty hunter doing well, I have also seen people who do not participate in bounty and are making it well with trading alone, but I have never seen anyone around me being involved in mining, I learnt mining is more risky and cannot just be done alone, and if you even attempt it probably with your android, you may end up wasting your time and not even making it as the traders and hunters. It tend to take a massive effort to be successful in mining, you need good electricity, good mining wallet, computer with good capacity, and some other gadgets. Considering all this, which of all the participation do you see as least demanding and easiest?

Just like you said, mining is very hard to make profits from. I laugh because you wrote 'it tends', it in reality do take a massive effort to be successful in mining.
Good electricity, good mining waller, computer with good capacity. Mining requires a lot of power to be successful.
I do believe that the easiest to work with is to participate in signature and bounty campaigns. Although this doesn't bring as much profit as trading, it is requires no risk as compared to trading which is very risky especially if you do not the required knowledge and skills.
I agree with Goldade. Mining is just too expensive and if you already dont have full setup, it could be investment with unsecure return. For me, short term trading is currently the best option to exploit crypto market.

Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday?

I don't think there is any connection between Bitcoin and gold and these two completely different types of assets and value storages that attract completely different types of investors. I don't think that will ever happen that Bitcoin replaces gold but that is not even the intention. Cryptocurrencies and gold can't be compared and Bitcoin is no competition to gold at all.
I agree with you Bitbunny. Both Gold and Bitcoin are assets, so it should be choice of an investor in which asset he will invest. There is no need to choose one in dispense for the other. On the other side, both are good for investment portfolio diversification. Right?

I have no doubts that Blockchain is technology of the future. I also have no doubt that almost all fiat currencies in the near future (i.e. in 10 years) will be in digital format. Still, we need to pay attention that digital fiat currency is not same as crypto currencies.

In my opinion all crypto currencies are to some extent positively correlated to Bitcoin. So, my general question is if there is a point to make diversification of altcoins. Instead, I am targeting one altcoin which could have the most potential for rise in price when BTC goes up.

At current days, I see high risk of investment in ICO. Not only that there are scammers, but because many of these projects have some technical deficiencies which makes them fail on the market after some time.

Crypto brokers are great because they provide features that traditional brokers don't. However, these functions are not clear to the majority. When they see that the deposit is in cryptocurrency, they simply do not want to keep money on the deposit, since long-term investments in cryptocurrencies are considered risky. DAI is designed to provide a complete guarantee against volatility. Its course is always stable.

No matter how much we would like to see cryptos as stable currencies which will replace fiat one day, still their value is driven mostly by speculation. We need to understand this fact. It is good for trading, but I see high risk of buy-and-hold strategy

I see this as a perfectly normal step of one Government. You need to have legal background to fight against fraudulent activities and money laundering, while on the other side, you cannot allow these asset to interfere into your monetary system without control.

This is very interesting question, unfortunately without reliable answer. Satoshi is for sure one very rich person, no doubt, but my question is what is his intention with so many coins in his pocket?  Influencing market prices is only one option. What do you think guys?

I think that it is great idea to introduce university students with basics of crypto world. I would add to your list security, which is most important and also legal framework as many countries are recognising cryptos in their regulations.

In my opinion consequences will differ from country to country. Rich countries are providing aid funds to individuals and companies, however, poor countries dont have such support. They would probably be hit the most, unfortunately.

I would like to add to this discussion legal framework. Countries are now recognizing crypto currencies, and in Germany you can deposit your crypto money with the bank. You would have also to pay taxes on your income even if it is in crypto. It is too early to speak about independency from banks

I agree with Amishmanish. The issue here is that we have no idea what is stated in the contract between involved parties (if there is any sort of contract at all). Also, we dont have enough information to figure out what is Cobra`s intention here. Right?
