went n missed the launch 
got one rig pointed at it now 1070's are busy but that gives me a chance to learn how to use the geth console.
I got the address and mining started in no time thanks to op guide and the pools
just need to learn how to check balance, send, receive etc which I should already know tbf

I am trying to mine using pool http://intensecoin.com/pool2/#. However getting error messages that API bind to port 4048 failed and startum connection failed to 45.32.171.89 port 4444. Is the pool currently down?

OK guys, we are here to provide you a coin, not a pool mining service. I am going to have to pull the plug on the mining pool. We reached out to Suprnova and minergate, democats and others asking them to create pools and I recommend you do the same. An astronomical number of hours has gone into this with terrible results. As with pool v1 all of your shares will be paid once they mature - including the transactions that failed to take (basically all pool v2 payments?).. this is just not what we planned to do with the coin and this is a job best left to people that know what they are doing. We are hitting bugs involving payment and stability over and over with no end in sight, this just isn't worth anyone's aggravation.
While we wait for the pool to open, we do not dig any other mines.If you specify time, then let's check.We are losing time and money.We are strong together.I hope everything will be better.

The IP is the same for the new pool, but ports are different - 4444, 6666 and 9999
Payouts from old pool will occur after all transactions mature (about block 1070).
If you're struggling to find a GPU miner, look for XMR mining guides since we use the same backbone (CryptoNote).
