Re: How to grow my wallet?
by

It makes sense to take profits because at one point the price will decline and if you like to continue holding the coin probably because you believe in the project then buy at the dip, this will increase the number of coins you own before.

Re: ETH going PoS is a huge mistake
by

Eth is and will remain decentralized the pos change will benefit all those who do not have expensive gpu to be able to mine it people will be able to join pools to reach the 32 eth necessary for a node and start earning interest
This comment is pointless, its cheaper to buy GPU to mine Ethereum, have you checked the ETH PoS requirement? It costs thousands of dollars, I heard you need 10 ETH or more to stake ETH whereas a GPU costs 340$ (GTX 1660 ), do your own research.

BUSD and USDT are the same to me, if you are planning to have some stable coin on the ground to take advantage of any market dips then just buy any stable coin since you won't be holding them for so long but if you refer something more secured I can't think of anything else than DAI stable coin because its fully decentralised.

Math wallet is a popular crypto wallet, if you don't already know about this wallet then sorry to say you are new to crypto space, I've used this wallet for a few years already and no issues or whatsoever, you have no problem using math wallet, bitpie isn't new to me as well but I haven't use it before.

RTX A 2000 can hash at 41MH using a total of 70watt in mining software and RTX2060 super is capable of hashing at 43MH using 120watts, the RTX A2000 is more efficient than the 2060 Super.

Multiple CPUs is needed to make reasonable gains, assuming you have up to 5x Ryzen 7 CPU then you can make something per month, right now the most talked about CPU coin is raptoreum. Do your own research.

Re: 1070s/1080s are still good in 2022?
by
XUR_TIP

1070 and 1080s eat more power energy I don't see any reason to build a mining rig with such old graphic cards unless mining profit increase a lot, the same thing with rx580 too, if you want something more efficient you need 6600Xt, 1660 super, 1660 Ti, RTX 3060 and 3060ti.

I like more rx 6600 vs 3060, because it get 29 MHS for 45-55w where a 3060 (lhr of course now you cannot find something else) produce 38 MHS for 115-120w

Not to mention they are cheaper
Rx6600 is more efficient hands down, the only GPU that comes close to rx6600 is Nvidia gtx 1660, none Ti or Super, 27Mh with 60 watts but RX6600 and 6600XT are the best, AMD wins in this area.

If I want to buy anything I would use Fiat because crypto is a valuable asset not good for means of payment when you should be holding the coins, anyone remembers that guy that paid BTC for a cup of coffee? I don't want such to happen to me.

There is no supernatural way of avoiding scam than using your research skills, you have to believe in yourself after doing a good research on projects and only use funds you are ready to lose, a project with good utility and blockchain expert as team will always do well, take risks on such projects and avoid others.

There Are coins you can mine with HDD and store files for reward as well, Chia coin and File coin are good ones to start with but do your own research, reward will be smaller compared to if you are using graphic card for mining crypto. DYOR

Re: Rtx 3060 ti FHR strange LHR unlock tuning message
by
XUR_TIP
on 26/03/2022, 01:55:59 UTC
You guys are most probably right,it is still mining at full hash rate 59 Mhsh instead of 61 because I keep the memory clock to plus 950 and not 1200 because it is a MSI brand and if I go higher than this incorrect shares start to come along,so yes it was most probably a false positive, damn I was scared I thought what the heck was happening to my FHR card turning into a nightmare LHR one.
It's 3060ti mate you should be getting 61MH stable even if its MSI or not, can you give info which mem the card is using? Samsung, Hynix or Micron? This is what will determine the perfect OC settings for the GPU, mine is using Samsung memory and I use -500 core clock and 2400 mem clock, that's in hiveOS, on windows it should be 1200 for mem clock.

Re: Start selling your GPU now
by
XUR_TIP
on 26/03/2022, 01:47:37 UTC
The reason why the prices are falling is because of the upcoming ETH merge and you won’t be able to mine ETH anymore. The Polaris held its value because it was a good value mining GPU, in terms of games there are other GPUs out there. So it’s value is mostly there as long as ETH is mineable which might disappear this June.

Most likely when the exact date and block is confirmed for the merger you will see that many sellers are increasing their supply and decreasing their prices because these GPUs won’t have much use. Unless you got like free power at work and will be happy making a nickel or dime a day per GPU mining etc.
Making a dime a day? I wouldn't think like that if I were you because the quantity of coins I'm mining is what matters to me the most not value in cents and dollars, I want to have 15 million shiba inu coin, 5000 FLUX coin, 10,000 ravencoin, 500 ergo, millions of opendao token, Millions of XEC, I don't care what their value would be in USD I care about low mining difficulty.

Trust wallet isn't fully open source that's the problem, I trust electrum more than trust wallet, if all you have is your smartphone look for an open-source wallet to store your coins, if you have some cash on you buy hardware wallet.

Re: What's your plan for the future?
by
XUR_TIP
on 25/03/2022, 16:31:43 UTC
Stuff are not looking great in terms of forthcoming profits, way too much hardware is emerging online, electricity and gas tariffs are all going up all around the globe. This merge looks like it is flawlessly on track and there are so many questions about the future of mining, what are your strategies toward this?.

I use a simple strategy.Continue mining even at a loss if I am financially stable to afford it as I believe that the prices of almost all cryptocurrencies,at least the ones who will make it and will not die like many alt did in the past is that their prices will only keep increasing in the future.

The better strategy for people who own rigs is to not rush and sell their rigs, rather keep mining until the PoS thing happen,if it happens at all and then after the merge see if there are other coins which can give you decent profit (do not rush, the difficulty will decrease a lot when people will rush to sell their GPU-s) and if there are keep mining them, you need about 2-3 months after the merge to see the exact picture,so the real winners will be the ones who will be patient enough to resist the strong urge to sell gear.

@Sworgerino you are the bomb, it's what I keep telling people, the best time to mine is in a bear market, all you need is a less difficulty, I can mine 9 million shiba inu coin in a week but in bear market I can get 3x of that 9million shib in a week.

Also, avoid fake power supplies from China, they are brandless and have cheap cable quality, I had one that killed my RX vega 56 two years ago, you can't cheap out on power supplies it's what keeps your GPU safe when working.

Re: I am big fan of SHIBA

pretty interesting that even here on a forum which I alway thought held fundamentals in high regards SHIBA is getting quite a positive feedback.
Is it me or is it the kids who are wrong? I urgently need to consult my inner skinner.
And just to be grumpy: I think SHIBA is a fad that'll slowly fade away over time.
Not surprised, you can't expect every feedback on this forum to be positive or go the same way as what you have in your mind, take your time and look at old posts from 2015 and see what people talked about dogecoin, it was a shitcoin until 2020, shit coins can get you there some times not even big altcoins.

I'm moving my funds out of any coin that goes proof of stake, it's always a bad idea and for the past years I just believe that ETH made it this far because of miners too, miners played a bigger part in the life of Ethereum I hope the project will be ok with it's PoS algorithm.

Re: How to know which bounty campaign to join ??
by

Things are looking a lot easier to bounty hunters this days because most bounty campaigns today are escrowed from cryptopreneurbrainboss and julerz12, they are topping the chart as the BMs with most new projects to promote, you still need some research to do because not all projects have good utilities.
