If you hold your altcoins for another couple of years, or for five years, then someone will be able to see a lot of percentages and enjoy all the charm of the financial market, especially such as cryptocurrency, I think he is the most profitable of all existing in history.

We just hope the altcoin you select will survive long enough.

to expensive for now, i prefer gtx 1070Ti less power consumsion but still power full for mining, since many coin show up its make me confuse choose coin for more profitable
The best ROI is 1060(3Gb) the most powerful - 1080ti, the most optimal - 1070. 1070ti and 1060(6Gb) never were the best choice for mining. Choose your own optimal option.
Nowdays is not the best time to buy new cards, profit is too small but there are many used GPU that cost nice.
The thing is that the moment the ROI seems good, it's already too late! Wink

there are more and more coins mineable by ASIC. So be careful when buying GPU.

to hold in 2 years to 3 years the right altcoin is Ethereum, Ethereum has great potential in the future and the development of ETH from year to year is higher so it is suitable to hold in the long term.

ETH is good for long term holding. I also own some Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin.

Delivery time is 50% of the warranty period.

Current payback period is 50% longer than the warranty.

You risk your money on the performance, the future returns and the likelihood it will live long enough to break even.

Will the warranty start from the delivery date?

ETHlargement effect is interesting only for the ETH or for any algorithm that requires fast memory

That is right. I tried with ZEC mining. There is no difference.

Re: VERGE - Price on positive appreciation for the past 14 days
by

I think it is a normal pump of this coin, verge is a good coin that has a great roadmap ahead in this coming months, so despite all of the FUD’s and negative news in cryptocurrency it will go up because of its ongoing projects in this coming months and aside from that it has a good community supporting this project. This are the cause why it is in the trend.

If the price is pumped to double or triple of current price, I will sell most of my coins.

The second batch being more expensive has happened with other Bitmain miners in the past like the D3 IIRC, though I don't have the exact numbers for the pricing for the first and second batch of that particular miner.

I doubt sales were that great for the E3 in the first place, and they still chose to raise the pricing for the next batch. Interesting moves on the side of Bitmain. Anyone who buys an E3 at this price is throwing their money away, and even the $800 E3 was a gamble.

I agree. I will still make some profit by using my undervolted R9 390. However, I wish there will be a PoW change.

Re: When is a coin too expensive?
by
Xanotick
on 21/03/2018, 08:37:43 UTC
A coin would be expensive when Bitcoin price is high. Normally all the altcoins would follow the path of Bitcoin whether it is low or high. Some coins reflect the price drop or high instantly and some may have impact bit late like two to three days or a weeks time to reflect in it.

To answer your question asked in the topic, December mid week is the season where all the coins would be in peak price.
I also believe that mid-December is the best time for high return coins. so I think coins will be expensive and the benchmark coin can be expensive is to follow the bitcoin groove.

In the next few days, there will be a Satoshi's Vision Conference. There could be a pump of Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin or others.

Hi guys,

i won 15x 1080Ti's and i'm about to sell one or two because profit is too low today and card is easy to sell... at high price (higher than the price i bought it).

I'm searching for the MSI Afterburner configuration for my rigs... what do you guys recommend for settings ?

i put 80% on Power max
+10Hz clock
-10 Memory

You have 15 cards but you're underclocking the memory?! Shocked
I belive 1080ti Works the same as any other from the 10 series, so I'd say play between 65%-80% power and depending on the algo try different overclocking until your system is stable and doesn't crash.
In most of the cases though, the core clock wouldn't make any difference (in Neoscrypt I set it to +50 on my 1070ti though, it gives a little boost at no extra power draw). The memory speed is the most important but you need to see what manufacturer you have. Samsung would be the best, it can be overclocked more than others. Oh and because of that reason, you'd better overclock every GPU independently. Some GPUs might be able to handle +700 on memory, others might crash after +600 (those are not 1080 specific numbers).

I use the 1080Ti to mine ZEC. I found there memory frequency does not make difference. So I reduce it by 300MHz.

Same thing on Nist5, it does not use memory (only GPU clock is important), you can lower it down (waste of power, heating and fans).

Is there a way we can reduce the memory voltage?

Does anybody here mine on these cards? Is the performance good vs other brands?

I use both the MSI and Zotac. If the frequency is the same, there is no performance difference.

Until some of the big pools add XVG, there will be a lost of hassle with the smaller ones like Unimining. There is a lot of disconnection and rejected shares issues.

I think the connection there is very bad. I submitted shares and got reply 20s later and rejected my shares.

so can you advies me with best motherbord based in you
experience
 Asrock H81 pro btc R2
I have been doing mining for 1 year using Asrock H81 pro btc R2 . issues I've experienced:
1. When booting, Ram isn't detected, I did Move the DIM1 slot to DIM2 or vice versa. (solved)
2. 1 or 2 GPUs aren't directly detected but they can be solved by trying to move PCIe slots to other PCIe. (solved).

You need to use 1333MHz memory. That is easier to detect.

Today and in my account appeared Gold
I already forgot about him
Sold immediately and do not regret it
I wonder how did you do it? I have long been in my wallet reserved amount of coins corresponding to the number of bitcoins at the time of the fork. But access to them is not. The owners of the purse to say that there is no support for these coins and so they can't perform their exchange or transfer to another wallet.

I did not take bitcoin on the wallet
Simply transferred to those exchanges that announced the support of Gold
Half on Yobit, half on Bitrex
On the Yobit  it was added three more weeks ago, and on Bitrex only today  Wink

The Bittrex price is quite good. So I sold it.

The second best time is now, because of bitcoin fees.but,100% No one can accurately say whether the price will rise or fall.follow the markets and follow the news..do the opposite of what the masses are doing, you'll probably gain more in the long run.i think that there are many alts with great abilitys but people don’t want to invest in,because they think that only btc is profitable and secure but there are another practical alternatives. . best indicator of this is media.

The price of the altcoin has consolidated for some time. It might rise soon.

BLOODBATH!!!

All market are in strong support level now.
I mean they're back when they're started to pump last june (or aug. Correct me if im wrong).

BTC RALLY is on the wayout.
Only stronghand will remain and the weak one's will be shakin' downfall.
I think there should be a decline in the prices of Altcoins from time to time because not every coin should have an enormous pump unless it's Bitcoin.

It depends on the quality of the development team. The Bitcoin has only one development team. The Bitcoin Cash has 5 competing teams.

Hi I just woke up on the news that Bittrex will officially credit all the accounts with the equivalent amount of Bitcoin Gold , So if you have BTC on Bittrex you are safe , But up until now they will not support trading the coin . It is strange , they are stating that they are waiting for a connect from the deva of BTG !! Really Bitcoin Gold did not connect an exchange like Bittrex yet ! WTF .
Quote " We'd also like to encourage the BTG development team to reach out to us. "

Officially statement link : https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002320451

On the statement, they addressed the time during the BTG snapshot block 491,407 occurring approximately on October 23, 11pm PT (6am UTC) but on the headline it was October 24, 3am PT (10am UTC). They are two different times, so which is exactly the right one?

I heard the hard fork on Oct 25. So maybe the late one is right.

I think best time to buy was 4 days ago, but then again for HODLERS best time to buy is today.
After seeing how zcash rally, i have some reason to think xmr https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/monero/usd rally will come soon

The ZEC price has dropped from the recent pump. It is possible that it has good value now.

For those who buy at the time you make this post can now be happy as your speculation outrightly come truth as bitcoin went as high as $4000 yesterday. The best time to buy at cheap price is still now and you must take this advantage as bitcoin will still clap up to somewhere around $5,000 before end of this months.

I think the bitcoin price is low at the moment. So it is still good time to buy some.

Nobody knows for sure when is the right time to buy again, but I think you should wait a little longer because it is going down more at least until August 1st, then we will see what happens next.

I think it is good time to buy the bitcoin and the good altcoins now. The price has dropped a lot.
