I think it has been taking a long time lately, it has to be done manually.. I don't think I noticed an "I got my account back" post in a while..



I think if you get your account hacked the best first way to try to get it back would be to just PM it.. Maybe you can reason with whoever has it first before going through all of these formalities you see here and praying for it back..
 


Just tell him.. "Look guy, I can sign this old address xxxxx so you are forked. It's going to be of no use to you red tagged so I would really appreciate it if you would just give it back to me"..


I think they are more after long dormant accounts that they can actually use/sell without them being noticed.. I don't think they are trying to snatch currently active accounts because they won't last long after they are noticed.. The account really won't be any good to them so they might just give it back..

I registered a few years ago and I used the account sometimes. tonight I received an email from bitcoin talk forum that warned me that my email had been changed. I realized this morning that someone used my account to write some messages this night. How can I block everything? This person who changed my email setting used my account only this night. All the other posts are mine.

Expanding upon this. Don't expect to get it within a few weeks as there's a lot of requests and it seems a lot of people have been waiting. Although, locked accounts do seem to get recovered a little quicker than the ones which are still being actively used by the hacker.

You still could not recover your old account even though you had very clear evidence?

I don't know. He doesn't reply to me either. He didn't even reply when I asked if he's still restoring accounts.

Someone can tell me what is wrong ? I am trying to recover account for 3 moths+ now. I have a signed message using bitcoin address and no one rersponding to me via PM. Is there any admin that can make this explained and can end my problem ? I agree with you because most of those who hack is because their password is too easy so easy to hack easily master their account.
maybe I'll add # 3 to your suggestion: it's not easy to click incoming links via email messages or bitcointalk accounts, learn carefully because most are hacked through PM

Since account recoveries aren't that much of a priority to "Admins", be prepared to wait for a long time.

Your active account is only a couple weeks old.   Forget about it and create a new one.
