when DOGE forks to POS and stops the block reward to a hard cap, or similar a asymptotic cap then it will recover.

The problem is the crowd that understands much wow are orthogonal to those that understand 10K coins per block for ever = % wise less money supply.

Also Mr. J Wise has not helped DOGE's cause as much as he could have.

QED

I don't think you quite grasp what QED means.

Well, my withdrawal finally came through one day short of FOUR MONTHS later. Yes, it took 111 days for Cryptsy to process my withdrawal correctly. They closed my ticket without resolving it more times than I remember.

I'm glad that's over, but holy shit, Crypsty is awful.
And you are still a lucky one. I haven't be paid yet and they closed my tickets... again.

Let's hope the problems will all now be solved automatically, one by one, as Cryptsy's wallets are all updated properly. I think we can assume that Cryptsy didn't lift one finger to act any differently in response to the PHS problems, and the fact that they're being solved now is just a result of routine maintenance.

so cryptsy works or not?

It didn't work for a window of time in April. Worked before, works since then. But Cryptsy never resolved the mistakes it made sending withdrawals to a bad blockchain.

I'm still out 544 PHS from a withdrawal that Cryptsy sent into oblivion back in April.

I know there are many people out there with the same problem. Palmdetroit, is there anything you can do to help? Cryptsy is doing absolutely nothing about it except telling me they "deeply apologize".

Wow Xeno,

Sorry mate but your response is really counter-productive. I met Camp this morning.

People whose first post ever is an eager example of cheerleading are suspicious and very rightly so. Pointing this out is very definitely not counter-productive, sorry. It is due diligence, and it really still isn't clear that this brand-new registration that responded to your contentless OP with such zeal isn't, in fact, you.

If not would you kindly leave the thread? Thank-you.

Nope. If you're not setting up a scam, you're going to have to run the gauntlet of skepticism from worse than just me, so my advice is to sack up.

All altcoins are greed-driven scams until proven otherwise, and this is an absolutely necessary outlook that you should get through your skull before you formulate big ideas for a new cryptocoin that has any hope of wide adoption (rather than just pump-and-dump trading as a hype-valuated commodity). Getting your back up at someone like me who isn't impressed at your initial outlay of information is really amateur, and doesn't bode well for any coin you devise with you in any sort of development role. So, good luck finding a competent coder who is convinced to choose your proposal over any number of other coins that are equally trumpeted as exceedingly scam-free.

Oh, and by the way, IPO schemes are synonymous with scams, so I sure hope that you're not going to propose that.

This is exactly the kinda idea I've been having ever since I got involved in crypto-trading.

I'm interested to know what is "exactly the kinda idea" you're talking about, since the OP said, literally, NOTHING specific about any idea he has.

He said "I'm tired of scams". That's all.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're the OP's sock puppet. It's the only way to explain someone being so gung-ho about an "idea" that doesn't have any content.

Re: Shibecoin Officially Destroyed
by
Xenopus
on 10/06/2014, 01:41:40 UTC
Shibecoin didn't sponsor a Nascar driver, Dogecoin sponsored the driver Josh Wise, and Dogecoin is actually doing well still. Dogecoin is always in the top 5 most highly traded coins by volume, many times its in the top 3.

Shibecoin was a complete failure by a retard named loq, he scammed many people and created a huge drama that destroyed the Shibecoin community and the value of Shibecoin. It was a Dogecoin ripoff from the start and nobody really cares much about it anymore, but I still felt it was important to let people know.

tldr, DOGECOIN IS GOOD, SHIBECOIN IS FAILURE

Your life is probably one big tl;dr. Try doing something you're proud of, like going outside, instead of carrying on some aspergers nerd slapfight with some other moron you've decide is your arch enemy.

Re: SHIBECOIN: First coin with Negative value???? (ALT COIN HALL OF SHAME)
by

on 10/06/2014, 01:39:41 UTC
I warned people over and over and over, many many many times about this scam, failure coin. Most people had sense and stayed away, but quite a few people got burned and lost A LOT OF MONEY. I feel bad for those people, while loq the developer got rich off his scam. He has now given up on the coin and there is a group of people silently trying to resuscitate Shibecoin.

But, I just looked today to check on the price, after watching it fall from its grand height of 400 satoshi down to a lowly 7 satoshi, I noticed that many exchanges have Shibecoin listed at a NEGATIVE VALUE! That's right folks, if you have Shibecoin on an exchange there is a good chance that the exchange will now liquidate some of your REAL crypto to pay for the embarrassment of them having Shibecoin on their exchange.

I now nominate Shibecoin as the first coin entered into the ]ALT COIN HALL OF SHAME.

Shut up. Nobody cares about you or what you have to say. Go shave your neckbeard or something, loser.

Re: List of all cryptocoins

I couldn't see Dimecoin on the list .. it is a coin that started as scamcoin, got dumped and was taken up by people that just help.

Since then it has made its way to Cryptsy, Poloniex and Bittrex. It was in the top 10 performers at Cryptsy yesterday.

It has a new wallet with IRC, a coinexplorer, is on coinmarketcap and is a project in the making.

No scam with this coin given the people working for it, and no scrypt-clone (SHA3), just a coin that has huge potential given the structure existing around its development. People do things for free without expecting payment.

It is the epitome of a cryptocurrency and I would argue it has an extremely bright future.

You can find all the links here:

http://www.dimecoin.co/download.html

(official site)

Please add it, as this thread is very much an indicator of how things stand. Yet when I read it, Dimecoin looks really well placed compared to many other coins.

See, this is the only purpose this thread serves: To attract specific cryptocurrency fluffers and bagholders who come in and hype their coins in with self-interested bullshit. Dimecoin, eh? You mean the Dimecoin that Cryptsy just closed its BTC market for because no one was buying it even at 1 fucking satoshi? Yeah, huge potential.

Don't get me wrong, Dimecoin should be on any comprehensive list of alternate cryptocurrencies, but aside from "please add Dimecoin", you're just spouting bagholder babble. After all, you're excited about doubling your money if it jumps from 1 satoshi to 2, right?

From all the posts saying this OP is full of "good information", I have to conclude that you're all either idiots, or puppet accounts just racking up a postcount in a buildup to scam people.

Congratulations.

Again, please unstick this worthless thread. No offense, OP, but you're not maintaining it enough to make it worthy of being stickied.

Re: [MRO] Monero logo contest on 99designs.com
by
Xenopus
on 21/05/2014, 00:57:51 UTC
wow, what a waste. absolutely not acceptable. scammers is what you are.

Because the contest got upgraded from $130 at the time of your submission to $500 + protected from price volatility (double-edged sword). Tongue

Too bad, I genuinely liked your designs.

You're did a really shitty thing, and instead of apologizing (like, at all) you just shrug and pretend you did nothing wrong.

You have ZERO right dealing out holier-than-thou sass like this people who are upset at your disgraceful behaviour.

You are right. Moving it to a different venue and asking for artists to resubmit is more of a move than a cancellation so the terms should be kept constant. In light of that, if a previous submission from this forum wins, you have the option to take 300 MRO instead -- fluffypony clarified this in the main thread. This would have to be privately arranged because I'm pretty sure the site just automatically pays out.

Sorry for the clusterfuck. The logic is simple: a forum contest should be cheap because only those who happen to be on this forum are in it, making it relatively noncompetitive. The MRO price went up so it's fair to move to a more competitive venue. When we're talking about something like 99designs.com, you have to beat out a lot more artists and naturally you deserve more, and we're willing to pay that.

I understand. A sincere thanks for making things right.

Re: [MRO] Monero logo contest - 0.2 BTC bounty
by
Xenopus
on 20/05/2014, 05:31:52 UTC
Discussed with the stakeholders (i.e. the bounty funders) and it's been decided that ending it with no award is the preference over changing the terms. We will contract it out with no reference made to any work here (to prevent any usage of your work). This is the only solution consistent with the original terms since it would have happened anyway at this price level.

Yes, Xenopus, it is indeed about money. This is an economic transaction and it has a going rate in the wider market. Below that, the artists have no incentive to sell. Above that, the bounty funders don't have an incentive to buy. The volatility of altcoins makes that messy and the smart thing to do would have been to decide a BTC bounty in the beginning since BTC is the most stable crypto. This was a major mistake on our part.

Thanks for wasting everyone's time, jackass.

Also, if you end up going to "professionals", will they be drawing inspiration from the seven pages of designs that you've already solicited at no cost?
