I have a few XFX R9 390. I mined that with ETH over the years. If I want to mine XMR V8, it is better to modify the memory timing? Any source of memory timing for XFX cards?

Re: Bitcoin All Time High Hit - 6300

Nah, $6316.85 was already hit few weeks ago. New all-time high is $6420 mate. Even it is expected, still when I'm seeing the price can't believe we are this far and keeps on getting farther. Can't really wait how high would be the price on holiday season.

Yes, strange things happen with the Bitcoin price because I was never expected sudden growth with the price. But still, there is a chance that the price Bitcoin will increase in holiday season also because more people now understanding the real growth in Blockchain technology.

Maybe people are expecting there will be only one strong chain left after the fork, so they are more confident.

Re: Mining coins save or sell it?
by
Xestadar
on 09/09/2017, 14:43:34 UTC
I think that it is better to save your coins than sell it. As you can see, most of the coins increase increase their prices after a period of time. Unless you really need money, do not sell your coin. Since I do not have a great capital to buy my own mining rig, I choose trading and as a veteran trader, I can say that the marketcap always increase
I will second you. Till the time you really need to sell the Bitcoin, better keep it. Rather instead of selling them go for buying more and more Bitcoins, as much as you can. This is the best way of earning more and that too in less span of time.

At least I have to return the initial capital, then I have to keep the asset up to 100% of the coin, and after that I will sell it continuously to buy bitcoin, every mined alctoin still has to be converted periodically into Bitcoin, we no longer need to see the latest coin prices are accepted as they continue to produce.
Depends the happens on market, we will have strategies for decision sell our minied coin or save for wait high price. But, almost miner choose sell their coin for capital recovery because keep safe their funds always important than try risk with holding coin.

These are all up to the miner's economical situation. If he doesn't need fiat Money, he can hold what he mines with his GPUs. This way, he takes risks, but, on the other hand, he may be able to catch the opportunity to get rich in the future too.

That is right. It depends on the expection of the future price. If they think it will rise, they will mine it even if the profit is lower. That happens to the Bitcoin Cash.

I like that, In these days the bitcoin looks so beautiful slow gain is better. because that means if the support is really strong and the community is believing bitcoin. The price of bitcoin gets stable gain everytime. This is really god for my personally.

That is my thoughts as well. I wish the price to rise 5-10% per week. Not big rise which will crash the price again.

Right now i trying to mining a lot of coins, i thinking its mabey its good to save the coins like 6-12 mdr before selling it.

Can orther explain about its a good point else about the risk its to high to lose to lot on it?
Specifically what coins do you have and what coins have you already mined.Mining shitcoins will not be profitable for you even if you hold it for a long long time.Consider first if the coins is capable of saying and will give you profit. If not then just sell it all the way

I think you are too late for quoting the fucking OP and advising on the matter, coins are not capable of saying anything mate get a room.
I bet anyone from 2015 mined Bitcoin LTC now selling them if kept them all these 2 years would be in great profit.

It is not too late. I will keep most of the mined the coins and might sell later.

Mining an altcoin now is worth it but for bitcoin I don't think so. But we should always remember that we are taking risks, we don't know if that altcoin can survive in the crypto world for a long run and can help you to make profits. It requires outstanding hardware components for you to feel that you're really earning...

I agree with you, it's very hard to get bitcoins on your computer. It is necessary to make large investments in the purchase of equipment and payment for electricity. In the end, you get very little

Its not worth to invest in mining now as it will require capital to buy equipment and if electricity cost is higher in your country then it won't give you the best profits that you are looking for so the best thing to do at a moment is buy bitcoins and save them for future to earn good profits.
Indeed, but if you mining altcoin that's a different story because you don't know how much the price in exchanges if they listed in. Mining altcoin is same like gambling because you also don't know which coins is profitable to mine or no scam.

So it is better to mine the coins which are already listed. The best coins to mine now are the Etheruem and ZCash or Monero.

Re: How to take advantage of ETF?
by
Xestadar
on 23/02/2017, 11:02:01 UTC
most of what you said has nothing to do with ETF then why did you put it in the title!

there tightened conversion controls in an attempt to curb capital outflows.

that may have been one of their reasons but the main reason for what Chinese authorities did is to regulate these exchanges and start fighting money laundering.

What strategy are you putting to profit specially in trading bitcoin?
Are you holding your bitcoin right now and will dump in later?
or are you just buying bitcoin and dumping it as soon as you
see profit ala arbitrage?

Can you please share your thoughts?

i am always a long term holder, these ups and downs you see and get excited (such as 14%) are too small for me. i am holding bitcoin for prices that are going to happen in a couple of years.
but right now i also sometimes do some short trading to take advantage of super volatility when it is happening. which for me it means selling after a spike and buy back more coins after a calm down.

That is right. I also hope the bitcoin price is low now so that I can buy more before the price rise.

Re: Nice in three days we get the Vega Architecture
by
Xestadar
on 03/01/2017, 12:18:20 UTC
Vega uses the same technology as the current Polaris - except for the use of HBM memory instead of GDDR.

It's more the "next generation of Fury" than "the next generation of Polaris".
 Think "Fury/FuryX/Nano" vs "R9 390/390x".

The RX 490 (if it actually appears) still looks more likely to be a "dual Polaris" card than anything else.

Architecture is not the same. These are the latest information on the architecture:

" Let’s start off with a simple summary of Vega’s key features. This should help paint a picture of how much of a drastic step forward the new architecture is compared to Polaris.

Vega Architecture

– 4x Power Efficiency
– 2x Peak Throughput/Performance Per Clock
– High Bandwidth Cache
– 2x Bandwidth per pin
– 8x Capacity Per stack ( 2nd Generation High Bandwidth Memory )
– 512TB Virtual Address Space
– Next Generation Compute Engine
– Next Generation Pixel Engine
– Next Compute Unit Architecture
– Rapid Packed Math
– Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer
– Primitive Shaders " .

Question now will be, "Are they going to be good mining cards?" Smiley

We saw how a new memory architecture made the card hard to exploit with GTX 1080, true that AMD minerbase is alot bigger, but wait & see Smiley

That is a good question.

How long do we have to wait?

If the coin is bitcoin i prefer to save it, but if the coin is alt coins i prefer to sell it all. Because i'm a person that don't like risk and i prefer sell the coins when the price still good than save it.

There is no point in saving altcoin for long term as the future of altcoin is unpredictable and holding them longer can be risky as it may disappear even at the next day which can bring loss for us.

You are right chief, theres  no point to save up  some altcoin but still i do save eth and monero which  i could say that these altcoin have   potential to grow  even more on the future just  like what  bitcoin did in previous years ,.

You can save some good coins. Examples are the Ethereum, Dash or the Monero. They have good developments.

They are good alt coins but for me if you are going to save alt coins then why not save to hold the primary crypto currency of all time.

And that is going to be with bitcoins, go with what's on the pick but if you are having hard time to save with bitcoins.

Then alt coin is going to have the chance of making you good alternative for saving it.

You can mine the altcoins and then convert them to the bitcoin. It is better to hold the bitcoin.

I also like to use the GPU mining as it can be used to mine many different coins with quite high profitability.
i'm agree with you, using GPU will give us  benefits when going to mine altcoin,so we're not going to only mine bitcoin but another altcoin that seems profitable and exchange it to bitcoin when bitcoin's difficulties is just too high and seems not profitable anymore since halving just occur, only big miners will get the profit by mining bitcoin

For the time being, mining altcoin is more profitable than mining the bitcoin. You can get many altcoins.

I think that always better to sell your mining coins if you are not in China, taxes is very hard to pay right now and better to have enough money for it.

I sold use the bitcoin I mine to pay for the mining cost. I will hold most of the coin whenever possible as the price will rise in the future.

It is end of July 2016 now. The price has been firmly above $400 for the last three months. I think the bottom is $600 now.
we haven't yet seen where the new bottom is. let us wait till the next correction and then we will see when it stops and what is the new bottom after halving.
the new bottom is 550 dollars, the price cannot go any more lower, to be honest in my opinion as we tested the lowest prices it should go up a lot soon

I do not think so. If there is no good news about the bitcoin, the price could trade around $550 for the next 6 months.

That is right. The price will not be higher until the release of the next Core Client.

It might rise to $600 after the market accepts the new SegWit.

yes that is a fact i also dont think that the price of bitcoin will decrease any more below 600$ it is trading in 600+ for such a long time now i am  feeling that the price will boost again in August and may be reach to 800 in August, and hope that the trend will continue tell the end of the year and will cross the all time high level near the end of the year.

But the rise could be delayed for a few more months as there is a hack on the largest bitcoin exchange.

I agree with that. I think the bitcoin price will rise between 50 to 150% each year in the next  20 years.

In the long term, the bitcoin price will rise. The actual growth rate will be due to the rate of adoption.

Yeah price will definitely rise in future as we will see mass adoption in coming years which will help price of bitcoin to reach to a higher level.

That is right. The bitcoin price will rise a lot due to the mass adoption. That has happened in the last few years.

we have seen the price pushing further and further out of a month long triangle, targets for a pop out of the triangle range from $650 – $780.

I see the similar trend. But I wish the price could be staying around $650 for the next 2 to 3 months so I can buy more.

When the price stays around $600 to 700 for some time, it is good for big whales to accumulate more coins.

I have already bought 1 coin when the price was 250$ and i sold it now Smiley , but i can feel that the price is going to be more than 1k$ in the end of this year, i know you are thinking why i havent hold ma coin till the end of year this is because i hate greediness, and its a crypto coin no one knows what is going to happen.

You should have sold it a few days ago. But we did not expect the price to drop more than 100 dollars in the last few days.

The price dropped to around $500 now. It seems the recent correction is very severe. I hope it willl recover soon.

For now i will save all my coin because the potential to gain big profit is near to come.
Halving will have big effect on the price of bitcoin. this time is not right time to sell coin

but if everyone will hold the coin, how can the price increase? someone must buy and hold, not just hold, i guess those rich people will pump and make everyone else rich lol, for now i'm mining alt and dumping for bitcoin

That is the reason I also use some coins. The usage or the circulation will make it work like money, that will increase the value.

Yes I also think the price is gonna rise to higher amount again and its now even around the 450 dollar and it will be more very soon.

The price is 490 in some exchanges. it might rise further from here. That could be due to the halving.
