Reading people's thoughts about religion always amuses me. Especially if you read our "near humans" interpretations.
And with our "near humans" I don't mean to compare us with a God. Humans evolve and so do stories.
Anyone trying to explain something that isn't static trough time is in my humble opinion nothing more than a fool...
The funny thing is that all major religions started with the same story.
After a while it where, so called, prophets who split that main religion into various sub religions...

Both Islam and Christianity have written in their 'holy bible' that they must take over the world.
So in the past various crusades where organized. That is the first problem I have with those religions.

That's a dangerous quote. You don't invite anyone to your believes! Your believe is for you and for you alone, not for anyone else.
Refusing invitations can become frustrating for some people and maybe cause fear that their religion might be offended.
That fear will become hate and the rest is history!

The second problem I have is the suppressing of woman. In Islam it's clear that us men are superior to woman.
You don't even let a woman show her face in public. Why is this?
That is something I just find a ridiculous rule, probably created by a very frustrating men

I like the vikings religion way more then normal religions.
Here at least anyone (men or woman) can become a warrior or a farmer as long as you impress the Gods with your live.
Although I don't like the fact that lives are not considered holy. Death is way to common in that religion

I'm not a believer myself but I do believe that religion brings strength. It's not wrong to have strength in live.
And even I dear to dream. Although I find it sometimes comforting just to believe someone is watching over me I always remember
that I have only 1 live! Live it now, not when you are death!

Hope this explanation helped. We don't hate (fear) Islam. It's part of our world. We hate (fear) people who can't keep a believe to himself. (At least I do)

Ok I wanted to share my experience with this miner cause I'm getting a little crazy but I finally think I have it under control.

At first I want to put some complains about the instability of this miner. It can/will guarantee crash after running for a while.

My setup is a raspberry pi with a raspian image. At first I had my miner hooked up without any additional things. This way it crashed every, let us say, 24 hours.

I've build myself a relay that can be controlled with an arduino like board and controlled it to my server (a home pc running linux)
When I have no response in the pool for about 1 minute my server will automatically reset the relay with a power surge of 10 seconds.

I also connected a tinny display to monitor cgminer as it was running (this was my biggest mistake)

My setup worked very well only the board was now resetting every 10 minutes.
This would mean that my miner running at 63GHash was crashing every 8 minutes. This gave ma an average of 43Ghash
After several days of browsing and surfing I found that it was my tiny display that was taking to much current.

If you want to run a miner from a raspberry pi be sure that nothing else is connected to the raspberry pi. Only the miner!!!

Now my setup is working 100% and I finally hope I can enjoy the fun of mining :p

ps: The error I recieved if anyone is searching for it was LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT and I saw my device disappearing in the /var/log/syslog

Perhaps I would be more open minded when we change little things about him. Take away his earrings, change it into something else, maybe make his lips less red or something like that and I would agree. But the black is camouflage so our children wouldn't recognize it's actually us.

Personally I've never heard zwarte piet with a stupid voice. At least that's not how we played him.
We use the black skin, golden earrings en big red lips as a disguise so our children would not recognize us.

So things already changed and every year they will continue changing. But please there are more important stuff in the world right now.

If you're using the original power supply it will melt! Be warned... Mine took almost 30 hours before it finally melted...

At the moment I'm running with a normal raspbian image where I installed cgminer. Isn't hard to achieve. You only need enough juice

I think it's all about power. The settings they recommend work great (mining at 61.766GH's)

I think the error that they have made is that they want to keep output wattage as low as possible.
They calculated this as 0.8W per GH. This would mean about 50Watt. The power supply can give about 72Wat (6*12).

I think they well underestimated the wattage per GH. I think this device is about 1.5W/GH (94.5W). I haven't measured it!
Maybe someone should...

This means there isn't enough juice to get to the miner. 6 Amp maximum is just to little for this miner.
As it pulls power, the power supply really gets hot until in the end it burns out. (Which could really start a fire so be warned!)

Mine is now running with an xbox360 adapter with a supply of 14Amp and it's running perfectly for 40 hours.
Adapter isn't even a little hot. I think you should at least use 10Amp or at least 100W to get this miner to work properly.

Another great power supply would be from an old computer. The yellow and black pin of a mollux must be more then enough to get this thing going.

I've bought myself an Antminer U3 for 117€ so yeah I'm an idiot.

But let's review:
- It's a good game (most good games cost 60€)
- There is still a little profit (altough if I subtract power consumption it's like 15 cent in 10 hours, for the moment! )
- It's very helpfull in teaching how cryptocurrencies work
- It's just a challange

In short it's just fun to do plus I swore to never buy new hardware unless it can be done with earned BTC.
I invested 117 euros (yeah I know, I've been sacked) and that's it.
The future will tell what's going to happen but hating the bitcoin is a little far catched.

I've calculated that in 1.5 years I have enough to by myself some new hardware if prices are the same by then.
The way I see it that's plenty enough time to teach myself more if it's worth or not.

Maybe the bitcoin isn't even around then anymore. Maybe another coin has taken over or maybe I'll be a millionair (sarcasm).

I don't really care, you know. I don't see my investment as a loss.
I've allready had more fun the last 3 days for this 117€ then I could have on a holliday in the sun

Those voltages are given on their amazon page so I haven't done anything wrong like overclocking.

Still my power supply has a hole burned into it... Could have burnt the house down... (If I was living in the states I could have sued them for this)

Ok, I blew up my power supply If you like this setting don't try it with the original power supply. Now using an XBOX supply. 14A is that enough?
