Re: Why Most Web3 Games Fail: Broken Loops, Weak Tokenomics, and No Lore That Matter

Many crypto games are just a stacking pool with a game interface, like plants vs undead, or the one with the spaceships (I don't remember the name). People buy the scam token, play the game, and devs are cashing out the USDT. The token lose all its value in a few weeks.

I'm surprised that games like PUBG, CS2, LOL, Valorant are not using some kind of crypto to trade skins, but I guess there must be some legal wall.

There’s no difference at all; it will not change the fact that these memes are launched for pump and dump.

I have the same opinion. Gatekeeping the launch of tokens will block common and unknown people's memes, but let pass scams like $LIBRA in Argentina, as the president has so much influence in the "community" system (everybody will vote "yes")

People should be able to launch whatever they want, no filter.

Re: 🚨 STAKE.COM’S RTP IS A SCAM! MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!
by
Xylber
on 31/05/2025, 06:17:57 UTC
I didn't read all 18 pages, but:

- The House Edge/RTP is the MONEY you lose/win, not the games. Example: flipping a coin (50/50), if you win I pay you 1.90. You'll win 50% of the games, but the HouseEdge is 5%, as you get $1.90 instead of the fair $2.00

- House Edge of 0.57% (RTP 99.43%) is based on a perfect play/strategy. What Blackjack Strategy table are you using? (For example, I used to use the ones from wizardofodds.com).

- Are ALL of your bets made in Blackjack and Blackjack only? Some games like Plinko requires higher samples to achieve RTP. Changing the amount you bet can also change your statistics (for example, if you increased your bet amount in the latest 10% of games).

Re: What is the best strategy to beat inflation in 2025?
by

Inflation/devaluation is stealing from the people and taxpayers.

The only way to deal with inflation is to go against the politicians causing it (printing money, selling bonds), because if you try to adapt (spending less, cutting your own expenses) goverments will keep devaluating more and more. Time for Plan B guys.

Like said before, people is getting used to 10 seconds TikTok videos, and quick Twitter/Reddit comments.
ChatGPT solves basic doubts about BTC and there is no need search the forum.

Still, I prefer to read posts here, as the info elsewhere is too basic and very superficial.

President of Argentina, Javier Milei, rugpulled a coin
by

on 15/02/2025, 05:57:04 UTC
The official X.com account of Javier Milei, president of Argentina published this tweet on 14th February:

//////
1st TWEET:

Source: DELETED

Translation:

Quote
    Liberal Argentina grows!

This private project will be dedicated to encourage the growth of the Argentinean economy, funding small Argentinean companies and ventures.

The world wants to invest in Argentina.
//////

Comments divided between people FOMOing and people asking if it was real or if the account was hacked. 70% of the total coin was owned by 2 addresses.
5 hours later, after the coin was rugpulled, the president wrote in another tweet:

//////
2nd TWEET:

Source: https://x.com/JMilei/status/1890606683291779195

Translation:

Quote
A few hours ago I posted a tweet, as I have done countless times before, in support of a supposedly private venture with which I obviously have no connection whatsoever.

I wasn't aware of the details of the project and after I had read up on it, I decided not to continue disseminating it (that's why I have deleted the tweet).

To the filthy rats of the political caste who want to take advantage of this situation to do harm, I would like to say that every day confirms how low the politicians are, and increases our conviction to kick them out.

VLLC!
//////

Even when the president said that he "wasn't aware of the details of the project", people in the comments pointed out that the website promoted by the president in his first tweet (www.vivalalibertadproject.com) was powered by a company called "KIP Network Inc".

"KIP Network Inc" was a company taking photos with the president some months ago:

Source: https://x.com/KIPprotocol/status/1849767686554910985

In that photo there is another known cryptoscammer, Kmanus88, who rugpulled other projects in the latinamerican crypto community.

From time to time there are proposal similar to yours, which I agree they are better than what we have right now.

The main problem is not which of our "alternative democracy system" is better, but how to apply them. Politicians around the world wouldn't like the idea to give the power back to the citizens and will not approve any of these ideas in the Congress.

And even if this is the ATH an it goes back to 20k, you'll recover your investment in 5 years anyway.

https://www.iproup.com/finanzas/49955-binance-blanqueo-afip-criptomonedas-impuestos-argentina

Not your keys not your coins.

Not sure if it is your 2nd account (you registered 5 months ago), but those who are here for ever remember that people was actually interested in the technology and the "alternative to fiat money" for real before the GPU mining fever of 2020 or before the rally of 2017. Back then there were other problems, like trashcoins forks everywhere to get a quick buck, but those coins don't exist anymore.

The inflation is there to incentivize spending (using) currency.
Looks for the story of central banking, it explains everything. Devaluation is there to take away purchasing power of the people and concentrate wealth in few hands.

Re: Are USA's and China's ETFs "creating BTC from thing air"?
by
Xylber
on 02/05/2024, 14:48:41 UTC
I know that a company selling ETFs must have the real thing stored somewhere, the rumor/opinion says that those ETFs are not actually backed up by Bitcoin, and these companies are "creating BTC from thin air", profiting from BTC real price, increasing supply, and bulk selling thin air to hit the price.

Think for a moment, how do you sell something created from thin air?
Also, how do you protect yourself if you take money for a thing you don't buy and that keeps increasing?
BR ETF was launched at 40k , how much loss could they sustain?

Like a ponzi: you sell more ETFs to repay those who bought before.
In fact, people kept buying everyday since launch, and yesterday was the first day people cashed out the ETFs so they wouldn't have a problem.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/blackrock-bitcoin-etf-first-outflow-day-etfs-record-outflows

And don't forget that PayPal, in 2020, before having their own token PYUSD, used to sell "Bitcoin" which only worked in your account and to make payments between PayPal users. It couldn't be cashed out or sent to a private wallet.
https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2020-10-21-PayPal-Launches-New-Service-Enabling-Users-to-Buy-Hold-and-Sell-Cryptocurrency.

I may want to believe it's true, though not because the price of bitcoin dropped after the launching of the etf, but because the government actually are good at stuffs like this, they are professionals in the inflating things/assets, most especially, if the asset is one that the buyers don't see for real, but simply view it as numbers on their screen.

So you're willing to believe some tinfoil material with no proof that makes no sense whatsoever financially just because you hate the government.
You know one rule of Bitcoin, it's called "Don't trust, verify" but I guess conspiracy theories are more appealing when things don't go the way you planned!

Do you trust the government of a foreign country? Consider that not all of us are either americans nor chineses, those governments do not represent us.

As you say, don't trust, verify, Is there any address where we can see the actual BTC stored? How can we know it is the BTC for ETFs and not just the BTC of the clients of CoinBase?
Either way, we must to trust somebody.

Are USA's and China's ETFs "creating BTC from thing air"?

Yesterday, chinese companies China Asset Management, Bosera Asset Management, and Harvest Global Investments released Bitcoin ETFs in the Hong Kong market.
Price fall around 5%.
In January 11, US company BlackRock released a Bitcoin ETF in the american market.

Don't forget the change in narrative in the american market, from "Bitcoin is used for terrorists" to "Bitcoin is a fantastic investment": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458778.0

Could it be true? Is there any way to check if those companies actually have the real thing?

Re: Why is bitcoin stability important?
by
Xylber
on 01/01/2024, 12:11:39 UTC
I think promoting Bitcoin stability is partly a matter of avoiding the Alcoin crisis, major changes in cryptocurrency activity, high inflation and excessive volatility, and the Alcoin market. Volatility can increase uncertainty, hinder investment, hinder growth in Alcocent.
What is your opinion?

It depends how we see stability and define it. If you look around, there is nothing that is constant. Oil, real estates, bills, cars, food...prices increase most of the time. Even gold does not have a stable amount when we compare it to FIAT.
A car will remain a car, 1 liter of something will alway remain 1 liter, what change is the inflation. Thus, 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin but since we do not use Bitcoin in our day to day activities then we have to establish a relation with dollars for example and then we have to assume the consequences like instability of the price since it is a normal thing.
Volatility in Bitcoin will remain until we use something else more stable than the banking system offers.

Exactly, if we set the prices in Bitcoin today, tomorrow Bitcoin will be completely stable and the one going up and down is going to be the dollar.

The currency we use as anchor always look "Stable", as it is our reference, like in Physics: the car/train/spaceship you are travelling on is always "static", and the objects around are moving. But be sure, dollar is not stable at all: it worth less every second.
