The idea is very interesting, but the key issue here is how can this project be adopted, while the traditional way is still very consistent with the current trend?

There is a lot of risk for emerging ICOs as a hot trend. Many new people like me are really concerned about projects with large advertising scales. Because safety is uncertain when only the form is seen without a specific purpose. We decided to stop and wait when the crypto market stabilized.
So when is the next crash coming? It dropped from $20k to $6.5k like a rock before. I don't believe that the current support at $6k is natural. When exchanges claim of being hacked, like the recent hack event which is a lie, it means their price manipulations took a wrong turn and they suffered big losses.
Who knows, were getting closer and closer to the 200 day moving average which historically has been great support.Even if the majority of the recipients all decide they're just gonna hang on to their Bitcoins and not sell, and in the best case scenario only less than 20% decide to sell, that's still 20% of about a billion. If too many sell around the same time, and it's not spread out enough, in the current state of the market with no strong confidence and low volume, that will probably still have an impact.
Now if a lot more people than that decide to sell, or the majority sells, we could be in for a pretty major drop.
Indeed, and then bitmex ppl will try to short and down we go. Personally, Im holding for next few years so I welcome the buying opportunity. Even if a recession was to start in US, crypto is here to stay and at worst the recovery time might just be extendedNow if a lot more people than that decide to sell, or the majority sells, we could be in for a pretty major drop.
Is anyone concerned about the upcoming MtGOX return of funds? Im not sure what the total # of btc thats being claimed by their original owners but Id imagine many may sell which could have huge market impact / price collapse

Yes, that's a big rumor going on right now (not saying it's untrue, just that there isn't really a smoking gun). The idea is that whale #1 calls up his other whale friends to coordinate moves, then they all buy/sell huge amounts at the same time to secure profits before the rest of the market can react.
Just harvesting hard earned money from the hodlers. Just keep buying them dips.
This is why people in crypto get so hot under the collar about Bitconnect. It makes them uncomfortable because they know at heart it isn't that much different from the crypto they own that goes up from new people wanting some of it. They want people to invest in THEIR ponzi scheme, not this other Bitconnect ponzi scheme!
