Nowadays we can buy and sell bitcoins through the exchanges or some centralized platforms (e.g., localbitcoins.com). Usually The exchanges will ask for your identification and the platforms will hold your bitcoins before the trade starts. Its not so reliable for your privacy or the safety of your coins.
We are planning to build a P2P market in YardWallet with multisig escrow. And these are the steps:
The sellers can post advertisements in the market. They will set the price, payment methods and other necessary information.
The buyers choose a seller in the market and send him/her the buying request with amount.
The seller can accept the request and escrow bitcoins into a 2-of-3 multisig address which is generated by 3 keys. One is held by the seller, one by the buyer, the last by our platform. Any 2 of them can transfer the escrowed bitcoins.
Now its safe for the buyer to complete the payment to the seller because the escrowed bitcoins cant be transferred only by the seller.
Once the seller receives the payment, he/she will release the bitcoins to the buyer and the trade is completed.
What if the buyer or the seller want to scam?
If the buyer claims to have completed the payment who actually not, the seller can start a dispute to get support from the platform. Well ask the buyer to send us the evidence about the payment. If theres no evidence or response the seller will get back the escrowed bitcoins with his/her key and the platforms.
If the seller doesnt release bitcoins in time after receiving the payment, the buyer can start a dispute to get support from the platform. We will check the evidence about the payment that the buyer provides. Once we confirm the payment, the buyer will get the escrowed bitcoins with his/her key and the platforms.
With these measures, the sellers can hold bitcoins in their local wallet at ordinary times. Only when a trade is started the seller needs to escrow bitcoins which will be jointly controlled by the seller, the buyer and the platform instead of only by the platform. So its much safer for the bitcoins and more convenient than the centralized platforms.
What do you think? Any suggestion is heavily appreciated. Thank you.

Update - June 3, 2015
- Local merchants map: Showing merchants accepting bitcoin and bitcoin ATMs in your local area
YardWallet is a decentralized bitcoin wallet based on HD Wallet (BIP32) technology. It gives you 100% control of your bitcoins.
What do you mean by a decentralized bitcoin wallet? It seems to be a wallet app for mobile devices. Do you mean it is a wallet that does not rely on external servers?
Yes it's a wallet app for iPhone. The addresses of the wallet rely on the seed value on your phone and you can control your bitcoins completely. Only some features just like sending bitcoins with email accounts need the external servers.
If you are interested in the app, please download it and have a try. Thanks.

Re: YardWallet - A new iOS wallet, supports multiSig, BIP70, BIP32
Checking your AppStore page. What do you mean by create account?
Your interface looks really good and multisig too, is it possible to leave just one key on the phone and export the rest? So that signing depends on an offline computer, per example...
I'll give your app a shot when you release the source code
There's a feature that YardWallet users can send bitcoins with their email accounts. So users will be asked to create an account at first.
We just live one key on the phone and the rest will only show once when you open the vault account. Users should keep the second key in a safe place very carefully.
You can try our app with a tiny amount or leave your email account and I will send you some btcs for the trial.

YardWallet is a decentralized bitcoin wallet based on HD Wallet (BIP32) technology. It gives you 100% control of your bitcoins.
In YardWallet there is a 2-of-3 multi-sig vault with 2FA. You take 2 keys and we take one that only you can completely control your bitcoins. When sending and requesting bitcoins, you can add your encrypted account information in the transaction so that others can confirm your identity. Also you can add encrypted message in the transaction that only the recipient can decrypt and read it.
Features: - Send and receive bitcoin payments - Store bitcoins securely in the 2-of-3 multisig vault with 2FA - Each transaction generates a new address for maximum privacy - Send bitcoin via email, QR code and bitcoin address - Transaction password protection - Add encrypted identity information in the transaction - Add encrypted message in the transaction - Transaction history with full transaction details - Display of Bitcoin amount in BTC and mBTC - Multiple fiat currency supported
