Hey, just a quick question. I am currently running 4 newpacs on antpool. I am mining bch for better payouts. The antpool software reports my hash rate and it is showing a lot higher than what I get in cgminer. I have the newpacs on a gekkoscience hub clocked at 500mhz running very smoothly. I have seen the hash rate spike over 500gh and as high as 900 thru the antpool monitor is this typical. I am not getting any weird resets. ASIC boost is enabled. Any thoughts on this??

So I woke up this morning and checked on my miners, hash rate was non-existent. I tried to restart cgminer and am getting an error.

It tries to start and I get a shutdown signal received followed by

Code:
.\cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.antpool.com:3333 -u XXXX--gekko-newpac-freq 300 -p XXXXX --suggest-diff 32

File: os/pool_windows.c, line 145

Expression: FD != Null

What is going on with this???

Restarted my system and cgminer is running ok.

I don't plan on pushing it to 600mhz, but if I can get 400mhz I will be happy. Currently push about 70gh/s average per miner

Hey All,

After reading this forum I was very excited about getting my newpacs up and running. Was also very appreciative about the process based on the feedback. I was able to get all my miners (4 newpacs) up and running on windows 10 without a problem. The walk thrus were great and most of the questions I had were answered with the information on this forum.

I am currently working on up the frequency on my miners, am up to 325mhz on all four. I have seen people running them as high as 600mhz. I have 2 artic breeze fans and a good powered hub. What would be a reasonable expectation (chip variance aside) for upper frequency limits without having to do any voltage adjustment???

Set up below
4 * newpac
2* artic breeze fans
Win10 pc, older i5

BrovSS- 10 Ports USB 2.0 Hub Aluminum - USB Charging Splitter Hub LEDs with 12V 10A 120W Power Adapter

i run 6 newpac's on GS hub @650 Mhz (autotune, so some are bit lower) no problem at all. I think u are having a power problem, try a more heavier PS with at least 10A
you should run a R306 per port, dont stack em on a hub or you will get a bottleneck, but maybe when u use an GS hub you can stack
As far as i can see your MB should be ok, when running linux on it you should be even more ok
Limiting factors: as far as i know usb-port, but you got a lot of them, so that should be ok

What voltage settings are you running? Do I need to up vcore to go over 200mhz
4 Newpacs, powered hub with a single cooling artic breeze fan.
