I believe Bitcoin will remain number one because Bitcoin is still most interested by many people in the cryptocurrency market. So no Altcoin can replace Bitcoin's number one position.
I think the usage of Bitcoin is still low. If it wants to be in No. 1, it has to find more users.
It is possible and I wouldn't be surprise about it as the top 25 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap are already having at least 1 billion in their market cap each. Even with the recent dip in the market I can see that 1 Trillion $ is achievable this year. Also seeing that the market is growing in terms of participants we might see a spike in volume when the market will start to rally again.
I thick there are too many crypto currencies now. These currencies will divest the funds from bitcoin. So the price is difficult to rise.

Re: [2017-10-27] Michigan Man Charged for Unlawful Bitcoin Exchange
The Feds are probably looking to make an example of this guy. He might be one of those unlucky few who fell for the line of federal agents. I wonder why they kept going back to him again and again.? Most probably to ensure that the amount he sold went over the statutory levels and they could nail him.
If he buys or sells up to 50k a year, is that OK?

For the non powered multiplier, if you connect to graphics cards, you need to power the PCIE slot separately any way, so there is no difference.
Anyone has some figures about the volume of internet data (dl+ul) needed to mine on a pool per month? I'm asking because I have an idea to try to mine in a country where power is very cheap but internet very expensive and rationed.
The internet usage volume is very small. But you need low latency.

Re: from 1200 to 1350 took only 4 minutes and still rising
Most likely there has been positive news on the ETF (I didn't see any, but I'm not following the news closely). Anyway, the short fall after the initial rise was probably from people who thought that this was a fluke and their last chance to sell their BTC for a decent price. How stupid of them

News will be on Monday. It is just speculation I think price for BTC will raise til Monday. On Monday will no matter what will get decided price corrected to normal value.
I heard the deadline is today.

Re: [2017-02-21]The Bitcoin ETF Will Be Rejected According to Prediction Markets
It doesn't say anything. Even if the market was predicting that it would be approved it wouldn't say anything. Only thing that matters is what will happen on March 11 next month. I guess it's more an attempt to make people less confident about the potential ETF approval, as the price is going up in advance just because of this event. Such artcles being pushed online before important events have a specific reason...
That is right. The ETF will not be very significant.

Re: New York Is Losing Its Battle To Regulate Bitcoin
I'm struggling to understand why, as soon as Lawsky crafted the regulation (BitLicense), he conveniently stepped away from managing and overseeing its implementation.
Now he is opening a virtual currency and cybersecurity consulting firm? Am I hearing this correctly?
That is right. I think it is a kind of corruption.

Do you think that Bitcointalk is a good way to get knowledge and information about Bitcoins?? because Bitcointalk is very useful for me to get information about Bitcoin.
If you know how to filter all the spam and useless comments, then yes this forum is still a good way to get information and learn more about Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. It will need a lot of careful reading and sorting.
The best informatoin can be obtained from the mining section, both for the bitcoin and the altcoin.
