If such thing like BTG is worth by now 30$  then  BTCZ should be 0.03 $ (1000 times less due to 1000x higher max supply) and I wouldnt sell cheaper than this.

Why should they have the same market cap?

I'm quite impressed by how ZEN has reasonably kept its price (at least compared to the other alts) in this current crytpto altcoins bloodbath. A good sign of strenght.

that is right. The price is quite or relatively stable. It bodes well for the future.

Here is a detailed explanation how to setup your Secure or Super Node:

https://zencash.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ZEN/pages/7537317/Secure+and+Super+Nodes

Personally I would not experimented with this, all changes must also be applied to Secure or Super Node so there is no simple changing of address as far a I know..If you insist, I can help you find your answers on Discord channel.
find me @MedaR#6465

Secure and Super nodes of ZenCash have performed well to prevent replay attacks.
thanks for adding them to the network, MedaR.

Are they more profitable than the mining?

...please add BTCZ on Binance.com exchange.

Devs: "OK, we will do immediately"

Does it mean Dev will pay for that?

Sidechains
The Super Node class supports sidechains. This is a major improvement to the system that moves the project well beyond a simple cryptocurrency. Not only will ZenCash be able to support other platforms over sidechains, but we will also be able to leverage the sidechains to integrate third party technologies.

https://blog.zencash.com/zencash-super-nodes-new-white-paper/

New White Paper
https://zencash.com/assets/files/Zen-Application-Platform-Whitepaper.pdf
The ideas behind ZenCash sidechain looks promising.
In addition, required ZenCash for staking is 500 ZEN, which makes it reachable for ZenCash investors.
I think sidechain and its big potential will contribute catching more attention of potential investors and more flows of money into the ZenCash project.

Is side chain supported by super nodes only?

Todays #btcz Network Hashrate is 381.33 KSol/s at the moment. Yesterday it was 275. That is 40% increase. Price today is 25 sats... do the math Smiley

Why is there such a big hashrate rise?

Interesting how quickly after fork profit came to almost identical levels as few days ago, even without ASIC's and AMD GPU's Smiley

ASICs didn't always mine BitcoinZ.
Also, with higher profitability, GPU mining farms like NiceHash switch to BitcoinZ.

AFAIK, ZHash algo is not available on Nicehash, yet.

Any idea when will it be available there?

BTG is planning a HF with different parameters that will require 2.5GB VRAM in order to become asic resistant. A new version of the miners will have to be made to support the new equihash algo: https://forum.bitcoingold.org/t/our-new-equihash-equihash-btg/1512
Other coins will follow with the exception of zcash. As we all know, zooko was bribed by Jihan Wu, so no HF is expected. Peter Todd exposed him in twitter. Ver and Wu hate Todd for being a pillar in Bitcoin core team and excluded him from the trusted setup of zcash. Furthermore, Todd said in a tweet, that zooko deleted his asic resistant algo. Anyway, this month the asics will be available for all, and they are 10x more efficient than the gpus with the current 144MB requirements for VRAM. If people are stupid to buy them the difficulty will rise to the heaven. Hopefully BTG and the rest could be mined with 3GB cards with the bios mods for the current equihash.

It would be better if ZEC changes PoW.

Right now, most of the world, Asia leading is mad for cryptocurrency with growing global economic uncertainty, and many investors looking for unconventional means of investments to shelter their money.

What is curious, Asia that has its own cool platform called NEO, consider that Ethereum is the number once cryptocurrency. I hope, ETH will reach 6 thousand in future.

It could happen in two to three years.

It is my opinion that Ethereum is currently in a bubble stage.I think the most likely price direction from this point is down. The market has completely disconnected from the fundamentals and it’s in full hype mode. That’s probably one reason the currency lead developer recently announced he would be selling 25% of his total holdings. If you want to make money in crypto, you have to find currencies that are yet to be discovered. Again, to make money in crypto, you have to find currencies that are yet to be discovered. Currencies with strong communities.

The price of the ETH is not high compared to its development. The price will rise again.

I think  in my opinion, that Ethereum right now is somewhat a good coin to invest with. Best other than  bitcoin. I  would  also prefer some  coins that  has ico capabilities or where one can create tokens would surely be a good hit for my investment money.

I agree. The price of ETH will consolidate for some time, then the price will rise a lot.

Re: Bitcoin back to 8k$!! Is this recovery or a trap?
by

on 13/04/2018, 11:17:30 UTC

Personally, I am hoping that Bitcoin is already on its way into good recovery since we are now in the 2nd Quarter of 2018 and Bitcoin hodlers are already getting tired waiting for the silver lining to come into their weary hearts and minds. Frankly speaking, nobody can truly predict if this is already the recovery we are waiting for or just another bad trap. I am just hoping that profit-taking will not be voluminous this time that can possibly push the value down again.

I think it could be a trap. that is just used to squeeze the short. If the price is kept above $800 for a few weeks, then it will be a turn of tide.

Eth is a really stable and innovative coin, yes... but the problem is that its future is tied to its founder, Vitalik. And Vitalik threatened to quit last Dec.

The innovative properties of Eth comes in major part from vitalik's work. Without him eth is likely to crumble.

I think ETH will survive if anybody quits.

Ok I'm ready to burn my computer.  Someone please help me.  I have a R280X that runs Cryptonite at 485h/s and according to the charts should run Equihash around 290 h/s.  I'm running claymore 12.6 on Slushpool and when the miner starts it does 275h/s.  It then begins to throttle down in steps down to 145 h/s and sometimes lower.  I recently watch it go as low as 40 h/s before climbing back up to 145 h/s.
Does anybody know why the rates are so low, and also the -i and -il commands do nothing to the hashrate.
I'm running the "blockchain" drivers but had the same problem when running AMD 15.2.
Any ideas?
Bob

Which GPU is this exactly?

Most likely your fans are dead or dying and your GPU is throttling.

He said 280X.

Hi guys! I am planning to invest in alt coin, particularly Ethereum. What do you think is the future of ethereum? Is it a good investment? Please help me.Thank you.

You have a good taste. Ethereum is the best for long term, ethereum is just starting, I believe that ethereum will surpass bitcoin in next few years, there are already many smart contracts under ethereum which is much better and advantages of ethereum to boom.

It is possible that the ETH could surpass bitcoin in the next few years. But the Bitcoin Cash could be no 1.

I always believe ethereum potential. Ethereum is a good coin for long term investment. I think it's prize keep rising and it still worth holding. Really strong coin and good project.

I agree with that. The ecosystem of Ethereum is very strong. It has good community support.

I think Ethereum has interesting future and can change big economic sectors by its technologies, like ICO, DAO and other decentralized applications.

I thought DAO is not possible now after the hack?

I am very interested in the situation of ETH. Interesting what will happen in the future. Giant growth and rising coin prices. There is a growing coin in the world. Some claim that ETH will be more popular than BTC Smiley We'll see ...

If the Bitcoin costs a lot to transact, people will use the ETH or bitcoin cash.

Well nobody can predict it correctly, but obviously it is going to go up again since it's market capitalization is growing everyday, but i think it will take some time to be $400 again, we are going toward it but a little bit slowly, probably it is going to be $500 before the end of the year, nobody knows it well, but i know that it has that potential to grow that much.
Anyway, keep investing in it, i would not dump my eths until i see a fair price.

Maybe the price will be over $400 again after some big usage of ETH appears.
