So did I break it or what? Is Bitzuo a scam now? Haven't received anything in 2 days.

What happens to when you send 2 amounts from the same address? I hastily did that and forgot the line from the FAQ...

I've been very busy later and I just got around to trying some fixes. After messing around with my blades some more today I got the factory reset to work... I think. I used a pin and held it on the factory reset switches until the green light came on an blinked. I did this to both of them. However I still cannot access them through my browser. I assume they would be switched to 192.168.1.254:8000 but it still doesn't work. I am doing this with them 1 at a time. I will not have both plugged in at once until I get this straightened out.

Quite pricey for 200$. Especially when there are aluminum frames that work just as well if not better that can hold more for a cheaper cost...

Not trying to knock it I just don't think this thing should be geared towards Cryptocurrency. I show off my gaming computer tower more than any of my bitcoin rigs. I could care less what my rigs look like no one is coming over to ogle at them, lol.

I just feel like this is a project jumping on the bitcoin accessory bandwagon. Trying to go for style when that is the last thing that should be on any miners mind.

So I have 2 blades that I was reconfiguring. I changed there IPs to a different one. I usually only change the last number, like 192.168.1.25X. I've done this many times over and now they wont respond when I open them...

I also have 2 cubes running and both of them I am able to configure just fine. All I did was change 1 ip to 254 which is the default... and the other to 256 and now they are both unable to connect.
See my sig for link to the setup thread, and diagrams of the pins (make sure you're doing the right pins for V2s). Also remember to do it while they're running, those are the two most common mistakes.

If you still have no luck, post in the thread and we will sort you out.

This quote is from my thread I started about having problems resetting the IPs on my V2 blades.

Now, I've read your guide and it is how I initally set them up while they were working. I also have tried resetting them with the pins and while it was on. I used a piece of wire for that and it didn't do anything. They are still coming on and all the lights show them as OK. I cannot access the configuration menu now however.

I also have tried running them 1 at a time and still nothing is showing up when I type in the new IPs I have set for them. This all didn't start happening until I changed the IPs. I don't know if I did reset the pins wrong or what. I followed everything exactly as it showed it. My blades have been sitting here for 2 weeks now doing nothing... atleast my cubes work but I still need these blades functioning ASAP.

My problem is that I've tried a factory reset and it didn't do anything. Your suppose to take a wire or paperclip and close the circuit on pin 2 and 3. I did this and it didn't do anything. Sorry I forgot to mention this in my op.

You have a very nice blog.. Keep it up and enjoy what you are doing. Cheers!

Thank you very much! It's awesome to get feedback like this especially considering the blog is in it's infancy.

I've added the first Topic for discussion! Check it out and please take a second out of your day to reply to it. We would really like to hear from you.

Also implemented the voting system for the blog. Basically there is a unique wallet address at the bottom of each post from here on out. You can send ANY btc to it and it will count as a positive vote towards what the topic is. If we see a topic is getting a ton of votes we will talk about it way more and focus our writing on it.

We want to write content that is going to be read and discussed. Without the readers input we won't really know where to begin.

Thank you

The Bit Blog(TBB) New BTC blog geared towards discussion.

Greetings, I would like to take a moment and discuss my up and coming blog and what I have planned for it.

First off you can find the blog here:
www.theblitblog.net

Let me start out be saying it is a totally new blog! As in I only have the first inital post up. I plan to add a new post each day. The posts will be about bitcoin discussion topics or world news about bitcoin.

Of course right now the blog looks super bland. The next month my entire focus is to get the blog streamlined and looking good. It will have all original graphics and content. If I pull any content from anywhere else I will always give credit where it is due. All we want to do is make a site to discuss particular topics for the bitcoin world. We have no plans what so ever to steal content and make it our own. After all we are a small team of 2 , why would we try to do something like this?

Other planned features include but are not limited too:
  • Our own faucet.
  • Setup guides for different types of mining equipment, all original of course.
  • Contests where BTC will be given out as prizes.
  • Subjects of up and coming scryptcoins that are worth mining.
  • Trading tips, guides on Market Analysis and general financial advice revolving around trading btc.
  • And More!

Thank you for your interest in the blog, I hope to see you there. I will bump this post whenever something is added to the blog to keep you guys updated.

TL:DR
To make things simple what I need to know is:

The bare requirements to build a GPU mining rig. What would be good to get that would be best for future upgrades aka more GPUs.

How do GPU extenders function? Like if I need to make a 16x plug into a 1x will it limit the GPU?

Thanks.

My cube shows nothing going on from this. I know the cube is functional. I had it running through a different proxy until they shut off Cry

They? Who are "they"?

What proxy do you use?
Windows? Minepeon?

You have to set up two Pools in the Cube. Even if there ist only one proxy.
For example:

Code:
Port: 8332,8332
Server: 192.168.1.20,192.168.1.20
User: username.worker1:somepass,username.worker1:somepass

Setting up the stratum proxy with minepeon is pretty easy. My cube ran fine with it (I used ghash.io).

They as in a third party proxy i was running through.

I fixed the problem... I was putting the IP for the proxy in the wrong fields... Roll Eyes

New GPU Miner with a few general questions.
by
Yinero
on 24/01/2014, 05:28:12 UTC
I am pretty sure this thread gets a lot of posts like this. However at the moment I am at work and can't really search around for each individual question I have so I figured I would batch them together in this post. I'll try to make them crystal clear and if the question I ask needs more info just let me know and I'll clarify it.

I am familiar with ASICs and I am currently mining Bitcoins with a fair bit of hardware. I dabbled in GPU mining for a bit a few years ago. All my questions are generally related to parts and requirements for a rig to work efficiently.

1. Are there any specific CPU, HDD or RAM requirements for a machine. I do understand that this might be reliant on how many GPUs I want to run. All I want to know is what I would need that would give me enough to run a miner with 1 to 4 gpus. I want to buy my parts to start out small and be able to add more GPUs off them.

2. Does 1x,8x 16x matter for the GPU? Like extenders and what not, I'm not quite certain how they work or what I would need to get. The extenders with the molex connecters on them... are those for plugging a molex to 6PCI into? Like if i get a mobo with 2 1x, 1 8x and 1 16x would I be able to plug 4 16x into that and have them run 100%?

I'm asking these questions because I followed a specific guide and the rig he built seemed a little overkill for running what he had. I really appreciate any help.

Just as the subject says. I am unable to get my stratum-mining-proxy to pick up my cube to mine with. I have everything set up just fine on both ends but I get this message on my proxy:

My miners are suddenly not mining through the proxy. The logs show they stopped at 10:53pm est. All my other miners that don't use the proxy are running just fine. My blades ares just not going through for some reason.

Are you on GHash.IO by any chance?

Same for me. It seems to be a glitch with the pool. Not sure if there is anything I can do about it. All my proxies to GHash.IO are currently seeing this:

2013-11-30 04:10:24,381 INFO proxy mining_proxy.on_disconnect # Disconnected from Stratum pool at nl1.ghash.io:3333
2013-11-30 04:10:24,410 INFO stats stats.print_stats # 0 peers connected, state changed 1 times
2013-11-30 04:11:31,979 INFO stats stats.print_stats # 1 peers connected, state changed 1 times
2013-11-30 04:12:24,371 ERROR proxy client_service.on_timeout # Connection to upstream pool timed out
2013-11-30 04:12:24,388 INFO proxy mining_proxy.on_disconnect # Disconnected from Stratum pool at nl1.ghash.io:3333

And the GHash.IO pool speed for the last shift dropped by 300 TH. I think they have a problem with non-hosted miners right now.

Yup, I'm on Ghash, so it will probably be fixed by them I presume.

Anyone tried instanthashing.com ?

I think your have better luck with CEX.io. I use them and it's the same thing as a "hashing contract" only with way more control.
