Re: Does Electrum use Libbitcoin ?
by

on 23/08/2023, 03:33:25 UTC
Hearing that there is some exploit with any software wallets which use Libbitcoin Explorer 3.x

However they are not stating which wallets are affected. Only that so far $900,000 was stolen due to some poor random number generator when generating seeds.

How do we find out if Electrum uses this dependency?

The Libbitcoin library is not a dependency of Electrum.  Even though Electrum and Libbitcoin both deal with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they are independent endeavors with various goals. Electrum's main functionality is neither directly included into or dependent upon Libbitcoin as it has its own codebase.

Whether or whether Bitcoin is a suitable store of wealth relies on a number of variables, such as your investing objectives, level of risk tolerance, and comprehension of its properties.

It's crucial to remember that market emotion, news, macroeconomic conditions, and other things can affect Bitcoin's value. Before evaluating if Bitcoin fits with your investing objectives, you should conduct extensive study, take your risk tolerance into account, and even seek guidance from financial experts.

Additionally, rather than focusing all of your capital in Bitcoin or any other single investment, think about diversification to disperse risk across a variety of asset classes.

Is This Possible To Achieve ?
by

For some time now, liquid staking has been one of the most profitable ways to earn passive income in the crypto space. But according to pstake.finance, the nature of earning with liquid staking can be changed and improved to the earning yield. Pstake.finance is a liquid staking protocol that intends to unlock the potential of staked PoS assets by utilizing IBC(Inter Blockchain Communication) protocol introduced by Cosmos Hub (ATOM). The IBC protocol allows some kinda communication between blockchains.  The main focus of pstake.finance  is to give their users the opportunity to earn from multiple blockchain via liquid staking.  will this be possible to achieve ?

Decentralized Finance has opened the way to several other features of earning and generating yield in this space. Now we have gamifi, metafi who knows where this space will metamorphose into in the coming months. Crypto trends move very fast but sometimes I feel crpyto enthusiasts keep on missing out on some of the very ways of generating, growing, and compounding yield while chasing all these new flash in the pan projects that promises x amount of profits yet, in the end, they just become like white elephants.

Staking and providing liquidity is my main game plan anytime I look at DeFi projects. I admire the fact that you're in total control of your investment unlike we have it on lending platforms. Not saying lending is not good though but I feel the committed funds could have done something small other than just earning that tiny APY being offered.

Catching early birds on staking or farming when a project launch is a great way to earn in any DeFi project you're part of. If the APY doesn't get flooded by community members most likely you are likely to gain your initial capital in a few days and start profiting! The beauty of Decentralized Finance!

Ahh, tell me more about this fast space hehe.... Within a year, we have had trends of NFTs, DeFi, Metaverse, Gamifi, Metafi. Talking about DeFi and the simplicity that other projects are bringing to it. Projects like Defiyield, YOP Finance, Revault Network, Pstake Finance.

Among all these defi platforms Pstake finance is the one I use the most as it has an easy to use interface and also lets you compound your stakes in various forms.

For example: when if you deposit a token A the platform automatically mints you mints you a 1:1 token pA. Once you stake the minted pA you, the contract automatically gives you a wrapped version of the staked tokens. The supper cool thing about pstake is that these wrapped version of the staked tokens can also be used to generate yield in other defi protocols offering any form of staking or farming in those pairs.

Bottom line, Pstake Finance is the protocol that allows crypto enthusiasts to tap deeply into the efficacy of their staked Proof of Stake assets.

Their website https://pstake.finance offers all the details you may need just in case anyone wants to look them up.

First time hearing about Pstake Finance and it looks interesting with this overview. I will look into this further but i think you can do this forum a great service if you can open a good thread with all the detailed information about this defi platform. It looks very interesting and I think they offer very unique services as compared to its competitors. With this concept, anybody staking his/her proof of staked tokens is earning on two fronts!

What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies?

Personally, I don't really understand why any cryptocurrency projects decide to develop their own crypto coin. This is one reason why mass adoption of cryptocurrency is not taking place. There are a lot of worthless crypto coins in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.  Some of these coins are not really needed in the crypto market and the crypto ecosystem.

Elon Musk adding #Bitcoin to his twitter bio does not really influence mass adoption of Bitcoin. It will just made people buy bitcoin without understanding why they are buying it or what bitcoin is  and its purpose in the financial ecosystem. This will just make people lose money since they are just going to invest without knowing that Bitcoin market is very volatile. Not all of his followers have in-depth knowledge about Bitcoin investment and trading.

Banks hope to issue their own "bitcoins" to fight BTC

There is no way banks can issue cryptocurrency based coin to fight or replace Bitcoin. First and foremost, Banks operate through a centralized system and it will be difficult for a centralized coin  to fight a decentralized coin like Bitcoin. Also, Bitcoin has been in the financial ecosystem for about 10 years now and the banks think they can issue their own coin to kick Bitcoin off  just like that.  The banks and governments are just jokers. There  is no way they can stop the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency revolution from happening.

Is It Safe Now To Invest In Etheruem?

There is always some level of risk involve when you invest and the crypto investment is no different from any other investment. It is safe to invest in Ethereum if you have enough knowledge and understanding of the ethereum market. Knowing the ethereum market will help you as an investor understand when to invest and how to invest. Its all about knowledge and understanding of the market that determines whether its safe to invest or not.

Re: 4 investment strategies to make Bitcoin less stressful
by

on 31/01/2021, 13:51:51 UTC
We've been in a bull run but investing in crypto isn't that easy,it can be damn stressful..most of us are usually obsessed I.e, checking our crypto wallets every half an hour if not minutes
Few ways to remove your emotion from investment
*Never invest into Bitcoin more than you can afford to lose
*Don't borrow to buy btc
*Vary from btc into alt coins
*Buy and trade btc in a trusted and legit platform i.e, binance.. Smiley

First and foremost, knowledge and understanding of the crypto market are all you need to invest without being stressful. With knowledge and understanding of the crypto market, investors understand the risks associated with investing.  Every investor in the crypto ecosystem knows that you invest what you can afford to lose and emotions are never part of any crypto investor who knows and understands the crypto market.

Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best?
by
Youghoor
on 30/01/2021, 23:49:28 UTC
Which do you think is best for a new project and why?

ICO - initial coin offering
IEO - initial Exchange offering
IDO - initial Dex offering
STO - Secority token offering

IEO is always the best for me because infinity I can be sure that they will not scam and will enter the exchange market in the future. In addition, IEO of top exchanges are always the best such as like binance, kucoin. So you should participate in all these IEO because the amount of risk is to low.

Note- I don't know if the same topic has been presented in the past and I'm creating the topic with my own ideas.

All the listed procedures is  for rising funds for a new project but whether investors or people will invest in the project will depend on what the project is bring into the crypto ecosystem and its relevance to the ecosystem. People invest to make profits out of their investment. If the project is good, all these processes is okay to the investor. But in terms of transparency, IDO and IEO is the best way for new good project.

Re: Why is there nobody talking about DOGE?
by

The price of DOGE has suddenly leaped from 25 sats to 129 sats in just a matter of hours. It was unbelievable. No one was expecting such a rally for DOGE. That's more than 400% of growth out of the blue.

Accordingly, the rally has something to do with the infamous Wall Street Bets which got its popularity through Reddit.

As of this writing, DOGE has already climbed to the 13th rank as per CMC and Coingecko, surpassing the larger names in crypto such as EOS, Monero, Tezos, Tron, etc.

You should understand that about 80% of people in the crypto ecosystem prefer to invest in the popular cryptocurrencies. This is why no  one is talking about the increase in the market value of Dogecoin. We are all focused on bitcoin and Ethereum.

Why will anybody investment in a stable coin? Stable coins are meant to be that crypto coin used as a safe coin to preserve the value of your capital. Most stable coins have their market value within $1, and there is no significant change in it's value. You should focus on crypto coins that have the ability to change its market value within some period in time

What do people think? Is it better to invest, say, 100 dollars in ether or bitcoin?

With cryptocurrency investment, it is not about which coin is better to invest in but its all about the knowledge and understanding you have about the entire market. This will help you the investor to have strategic plans to help you maximize your profit gains. You can choose to invest in Ethereum but without enough knowledge and understanding of the market, you will not make any profits from your investment.

My question is simple, the use of Bitcoin has never been public so how is the India government going to ban the use of Bitcoin?  They should rather ban the use of the internet  Grin, that might help stop people from using bitcoin. I don't get governments who are trying to stop the use of cryptocurrencies. They always wanna have control of the financial ecosystem and the circulation of money. They should just give up and accept the fact that decentralization and cryptocurrencies are the future of the financial ecosystem.

Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!?

I don't know why people still make this speculation regarding the possibility that altcoins will replace Bitcoin. There is no way altcoins have any chance of replacing the king of cryptocurrency. Altcoins do not really represent any relevant entity in the financial ecosystem. Bitcoin is currently considered as a financial asset  and a digital currency for most of the online crypto transactions. How many altcoins are considered as a digital currency and used for online transactions on the crypto market?

There are different ways by which we can obtain bitcoins like Buying on exchange, accepting bitcoin payments or using mining.
Which is the fast and beneficial resources of obtaining bitcoin??

The simple and easier way to obtain bitcoins is exchanging your fiat currency for Bitcoin. That is buying bitcoins on any platform selling Bitcoin. You just have to find or identify the platform that you are comfortable buying the Bitcoin from. There is no free way of obtaining bitcoin, you just have to pay to get one. Mining bitcoin is not a good way of obtaining Bitcoin.

true now bitcoin is in good shape compared to 2 years before the price of bitcoin is fantastic. This year, the price of bitcoin is the highest compared to the previous year.

Why do you think Bitcoin is in a good shape now ?  Personally, mass adoption by people in the financial ecosystem and the entire world will be the only way I can consider Bitcoin to be in a good shape. The market value of Bitcoin is not enough to consider Bitcoin to be in a good shape. The market value of Bitcoin is basically determined by the buying and selling of Bitcoin.  Mass adoption is the only way to describe if bitcoin is in good shape.

Will Bitcoin reach $50k by the end of 2021?

Considering the market pattern of Bitcoin for some weeks now, it is quite possible for the market value of Bitcoin to hit $50k but knowing this market, it might also drop below $30k.  The bitcoin market is currently one of the cryptocurrency market that is highly unpredictable but its highly influenced by the principle of demand and supply law. We just have to wait for 2021 to end.

I think if companies convert 10% of thier cash to Bitcoin it will cause rise making it to reach $430k !

The market value of Bitcoin can only rise when there is high demand of Bitcoin in the financial ecosystem. This will affect the demand and supply curve thereby affecting the market value of Bitcoin. If companies convert 10% of their income into Bitcoin, once the financial ecosystem do not find the use of Bitcoin necessary, there will be no rise in the market price of Bitcoin.

THE CRYPTO MARKET IS SO RICH AND SATURATED

The crypto market has always been rich and saturated, you just need to understand the nature of the entire in order to know what to invest in. In as much that the crypto market is rich, you should also understand that there are a lot scams available on the crypto market. These scams are part of the reasons why the market is also saturated.  There are about 45% of scam projects on the crypto market. After they made money, the project becomes dead and investors become victims.
