I bought some Litecoin when the price was on it's way up. The price took a dive but I've been holding them in the hope they will recover to their former glory. This doesn't appear likely to happen any time soon, would I be better off selling them now and limiting my losses and investing elsewhere or do you think it's likely to achieve a higher price in the long term? All advice appreciated.

Yes be positive, dip is always there dont be over act and sellling at this point just by thingking crypto will die. In this situation we dont be so negative. Think what to do in this situation. Very clear what market telling to us, selling will make losses so keep on holding. Believe to world community to rise the crypto again before 2019

I do not currently have to buy altcoin though with a very cheap price because now I see the development of each altcoin on the stock is very bad and unstable. this will make us frustrated if we are wrong to take steps. so we better wait for better time to invest!

Yes, most of the altcoins are huge pump in the market and Bitcoin also green in market. But Bitcoin is little raise in the market and altcoins are big raise in the market. yes of course it is just like you are participating in an ICO the difference is you are putting your funds to an ICO that is the risk unlike when you are only participating in ICO you will just exert an effort and time. in the end it is depends on you if you want to invest.
These days, hardly any ICOs have what it takes to give 100% confidence to investors like me.
They come up with the most random ideas and spend a few 100k dollars on marketing and building hype. Then they have token sales where pre-sale investors are given discounted rates. They end up dumping the coin as soon as there is an exchange listing.
In fact, I know of only one ICO in recent times that has not done this. Blockgrain.io team had the foresight and fairness to keep presale price equal to main sale price. This shows what intentions a team has. Less focussed on greed and more on onboarding the right people.

I believe that we can`t compare bitcoin and all altcoins. You can consider bitcoin and some particular concrete altcoin. In this case, some altcoins have advantages over bitcoin. But despite this, bitcoin is by far the best crypto currency, combining the maximum number of advantages.

Altcoins are potentially great investments because they have more chance to grow. Small value coins can easily double in price which compared to bitcoin doubling price, is very difficult. When altcoins dump, don't worry. As long as you did research and believe in the value of your coin then it should very soon go up again. Pumps and dumps are part of altcoin market cycles, learn to profit from it, not get beaten by it.
