Re: Do you see BTC @ $100k?
by

Looking at it now? yeah this is now the Economic FUD effect and the rushing starts to end , so basically in the next couple of weeks we will see the take back and Bitcoin starts recovering from the losses.
there are speculation that it may fall down below 15k and even go under 13k but all of this seems to be stopped now as the market is showing strtong return .
I am pessimistic that bitcoin will drop below $15k...

I think the prediction is just a prediction, like, at the end of 2021, many predicted the bitcoin price would break through $100k but it didn't. right now, many are predicting the price of bitcoin will drop to $13k but I'm sure it won't happen. the market moves very volatile and wild but as long as there are holders, the price of bitcoin will continue to be maintained and will never go to zero Grin

Predictions rarely work because they are based on scientific  theory of probability which is in fact a game of chance and depends on luck rather than skill. During the last quarter of 2021 every prominent crypto analyst was predicting Bitcoin price above $100K but it didnt happen and Bitcoin is now trading around 20K and I am afraid it may go below 20K which will grossly damage crypto market. Having said that, I am still confident that Bitcoin will certainly hit $100K in the long term but not in 2022.

Well there are the TA guys...
But no i don't agree with the predictions.

For me i work with targets and wehn it is met, i take some out of it.

Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin

@buwaytress. Agreed. I speculate that each of their company's' performance during the bear market, a coming economic crisis, Ukraine invasion and there is the risk of China's invasion of Taiwan might not be very good. There is also China's defense ministry. He has already warned that America and their allies should avoid the Taiwan Strait or there will be war.

I predict Saylor liquidation fud to begin if bitcoin dumps under $20k and cause more panic.

Except that now he seems to have backtracked somewhat and said that the danger is really not as significant as -- think 3 days ago, I saw the full transcript on phone and he said a lot of things that didn't seem to add up

Takeaways: plenty of assets left to collateralise, margin call wouldn't happen below 21k, and he's leveraged 1.04, so would need 95% drop of purchase price (so that's $2000) to get in trouble.

But I don't know, was a rough interview and vague as hell.

What he said is true. They have the assets to add more to their leveraged position if bitcoin dumps further, however, assuming that the asset is also bitcoin or stocks of Microstrategy would this really be the best decision as an investor? Everyone else is beginning to deleverage and Saylor will add more leverage? This is head shaking.

I expect crypto, like stocks to retract. But for some reason i hope Saylor will survive this bear market.
We've had so many idiots associated with crypto; Mcafee, Musk, Garza, Da Kown, it's good to have a normal person, a business person, being associated with crypto right?

Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe?
by
Zaun
on 17/06/2022, 12:05:05 UTC
In Germany, the government is crying over Russia's further cuts of gas supplies, accusing that Russia is doing it to drive up price, WHILE the same German government is telling other European countries to stop imports of Russian Natural Gas. Hahaha.

Should Germany should actually start a new Nuclear energy program to meet their energy needs? I'm a mere pleb, I don't know. The obvious answer, yes. I believe the United Kingdom has already started.

This could take some pressure off, however there must be done more. I think liquid gas can help salvage the problem. And yes invest hard in green energy will make us whole/ no more depence from Russia. Or other countries for that matter.

Overal sentiment (all markets) is fear. Don't expect big things until settle down.

That is if it settles down. I have a gut feeling that we will more drama around the market. Especially the crypto market..

Definitely.

I used to think it would take a decade. But it would not make sense next bull bitcoin finally reaches the 100k mark. From it may find it value, because i don't think 1M is a serious option..

Re: How MUCH will the FINAL BTC be WORTH?
by
Zaun
on 26/11/2017, 16:36:36 UTC
Final bitcoin has no specific price. Thus, the value of bitcoin depends on the buyers demand.

Well  yes, with bitcoin of with nearly anything we can not predict what it is  worth or will be worth in  a certain time. It's all about what the market dictates, how much trust people put in it etc. etc. However if bitcoin  / crypto wll work it will be worth a lot.

Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ?
by
Zaun
on 26/11/2017, 16:33:36 UTC
It actually depends if everyone is still using bitcoins and we do not need to think about how long bitcoins will survive, Even within just a year, You can be rich if you really focus on earning this coins and working hard everyday.

I guess not. The mount of energy to maintain the network is huge. And give it 20 years or even less and we will see this model is not sustainable anymore Which willl when a new kind of more innovative version of bitcoin will overthrow bitcoin as we know it today.

Re: What is causing 7000+ price
by
Zaun
on 09/11/2017, 22:11:24 UTC
Well, one reason is that more people are now aware of btc and every single day there are people who are deciding to join the trend. And let's not forget the upcoming fork which is the segwit2x. This fork is more serious and better than the last one (btg). More investors are buying in to get more b2x as much as they can which adds to the surge of btc. Just when I thought we'll settle at 6k before the year ends, and now we're at 7k. Amazing!
I think things are going to change a little bit now that there is not going to be a fork, I think we are going to see a slight decrease in price now that the fork was canceled but even then I still think that the price of bitcoin is going to stay above 6000 and I think the price is going to recover before the end of the year.

Either way the price will correct. Be it with the fork (which i read is still on) or no fork. This price rise is not sustainable.
Let's just hope it don't crashes back to 3000 USD or so. But find solace in the 5000 USD region.

Well it will be 1 maybe 2 years and bitcoin is really mainstream, regulated but mainstream which means we can use it in shops etc. So yeah I guess i will never stop buy bitcoin either.
Although I hope to earn more with passive income meaning setup a revenue stream to get crypto coins and spent them.

Not sure where this is coming from but bitcoin has already overthrown paypal by market cap. Many many times. Now it's time to am for bigger challenges like currencies etc.
A 100 billion marketcap is huge but yet the beginning because adoption is yet to come.

Re: what do you think about bitcoin price in 2018?
by
Zaun
on 06/11/2017, 10:41:55 UTC
I will not give specific predictions. Bitcoin has had a growth spurt. As the demand of customers for digital money market growing then the Bitcoin price will continue to rise in the  future

I just hope it find the way to the masses. If people is used many problems will be gone. No more dominance from banks and governments.
Fair and good distribution without the limitless printing of money which is happening now. The price will automatically adjust.

Never say never, but if i look at what happened the last year, i see that Bitcoin and crypto in general got a well deserved boost. We are not there yet, but touching the 100B market cap felt good. Really good.

I just hope the forks will quickly vanish so we focus on the main thing.. Bitcoin!

Re: Where to Invest BTC?
by
Zaun
on 10/10/2017, 14:25:28 UTC
I think invest BTC simply by joining to companies that use this forum, when we have joined and already completed post mission, we will automatically in salary by our company follow.

My main advise right now is to learn how to trade bitcoin. It maybe risky however the benefits and risk compared to so called bitcoin companies are minimal. Offcourse it's wise to diversify. Which means, put 30% in trading and the rest in bitcoin or a top 100 altcoin.

Re: Bitcoin vs Mortgage
by
Zaun
on 25/09/2017, 20:35:56 UTC
2. Do you believe that the bitcoin price would at a minimum, increase 5% or greater per year on average, handily beating your current mortgage interest rate?

If again the answer is yes, then

HODL your bitcoin as an investment and keep paying your mortgage payment. Payoff your remaining mortgage years down the road with your bitcoin, and live on the rest.

This right here. Compare the cost of keeping the mortgage to the expected return of the bitcoins. I strongly suggest hodling is going to be a far better result.

This is the reason why I think you are right. Bitcoin seems to be getting traction since januari this year.
Why would you risk that by doing something else with your money? I honestly believe if we play are cards rights, we are set for life.

by
Zaun
on 03/09/2017, 20:55:29 UTC
100k Is a number which is just too high. I am sure bitcoin hold a lot of potential and in time we will see the true value, but that will be something more in the range of 10k/20k instead of 100k.
100k means the cap would be higher then many countries total BBP.

I'm not rich however I made some nice profits over the years because of Bitcoin.
It might be on the high side for someone of my age but it won't impact my future much.

Like you I was lucky enough to make some profit. no rich But way more then I was expecting it to be. Really happy about that. But my goal is the same as when I started. Bitcoin should give people their power back from banks and governments.

Bitcoin isn’t an instant way to get rich, but is surely a way to get rich.
With bitcoin as an investment you’re assured your money is increasing in value (which is better than the little interests you get when you store your money in bank accounts).

No way indeed, the volatility makes it a tool to better or enrich yourself, but as it stands bitcoin is made for payments.
Being early adopters it's possible to benefit from this financially though.

NEO going to stay at #5 on Coinmarket cap very soon ... good news for community

Already is Top 5 now at more than 51 USD

And Top 3 for 24h volume! Where it will stop?? Moon I guess  Grin

It's amazing how NEO has taken off, I do thing it will go to 2M satoshi before it goes into a more stable period. Fact to a fact is that the Microsoft connection has given me a lot more trust then I already had. At this point I will keep my NEO and GAS. When both are high enough I will start selling bits and bytes.

Re: BTC Already in $4K...Will There Be Corrections?
by
Zaun
on 13/08/2017, 16:45:34 UTC
Their will be a correction offcourse, unless the north korea vs us war will take off, then we can expect more uncertainty and thus investors diversifying their assets into gold and partly into crypto.
